This used to be my favorite place to get glasses. (I've been getting glasses here for about 6 years) I used to think this business was queer friendly. My experience just now proved me wrong. An employee updated the pronouns on my file and then continuously misgendered me even after being corrected. It's hard not to take that personally when I JUST TOLD YOU MY PRONOUNS. I am very sad to say that this business has definitely gone downhill over the past couple years. I'm extremely disappointed. Do better. I loved coming here a couple of years ago, but lately their customer service is severely lacking. I called to reschedule an appointment and was assured that it was scheduled for the new date and time, however they do not send a confirmation for your appointment until the day of. I showed up today for my eye exam appointment that was in my calendar that I had set up during the call and was not in their system at all. The next appointment available would have been more than a month away. The sales person I spoke with was, unhelpful at best. She was probably the one I spoke with on the phone and was feeling a bit defensive about her mistake. I'm looking elsewhere for my vision needs from now on. They are way overpriced anyway. read more

Love this place. I now drive the 60+ miles to Denver just to go to SEE when I need new glasses. I've gotten three pairs of glasses at SEE over the last 7 or 8 years. Their frames cost more but they are original, stylish, and garner compliments more than you'd expect. They're pretty much Heaven bent into two small windows.The lenses are ground to perfection. Because of Covid I bought my last two pairs of glasses from Pearle Vision in Fort Collins, close to home. They were infinitely cheaper (2 for the price of 1) and a delightful manager helped me on the phone by texting photos of frames. (Great customer service at Pearle in FoCo.) However, Pearle's glasses never seemed quite true to my prescription, and both pairs at different times lost a screw connecting the arm to the glasses' front of the frame in less than a year. You get what you pay for. On the other hand, SEE offers individual frames in small numbers and completely changes over to a new small batch of frames every 3 or 4 months. Their frames never feel "plasticky" but manage to feel sturdy and look lovely. To poorly paraphrase writer Flannery O'Connor, "You won't see yourself coming and going in these frames." There were a few customer service reps on the floor the day I went in, to be honest the women couldn't have cared less I was there and after getting drops during my exam I couldn't read anything on my phone. It was impossible to use my phone to get an uber - it was so apparent the women on the floor didn't care about their job, only meeting a quota as they knew I was trying to get an uber and couldn't see my phone yet no one tried to help until I "bothered" one of them to help me. She was less than thrilled and made it clear she wasn't there to help me so I figured it out on my own practically blind. The only reasons this review is a 5 star and not 1 is - the optometrist had the sweetest personality and couldn't have been kinder, more informative and caring. Then there's Tim, he approached me, spoke to me, very thorough - from the moment I entered, through payment, ordering contacts over the phone and sending me samples and even when I called the next day to complain about a specific employee who should not ever be labeled for "customer service." Tim was nothing short of fabulous, his communication skills are prime and he does not discriminate. The reason I bring up discrimination is this, I have been in customer service for over a decade and when it comes to specialty shops like SEE where employees are expected to "sell" the brand - employees may overlook a customer who looks like they won't spend any money and I'll explain this. I am university educated and come from an upper middle class upbringing, when I usually go out I present myself in a clean cut manner demanding respect through the way I carry myself. Through the presentation of my appearance it is automatically presumed I hold prestige and therefore I am catered to, this is how the world works. But the day I came in, I literally looked like a disheveled woman in her mid 20s completely out of place, being stressed out, away from home, having my car in the shop and needing to take an uber only made me come off even more so as someone that would just waste their time as I couldn't possibly be able to afford anything. The ladies on the floor, especially 1 could not have treated me more like I did not exist and wasn't right there in the store. Tim must have noticed this as he was the only one to keep approaching me. He even directed me to a shop to fix a $300 pair of SEE glasses I held onto for 7 years that were barely worn as they broke within 3 months of having. So I paid for my exam through Tim, left to fix my glasses because of Tims help, came back to send off those glasses for a new prescription via Tim, paid for them thru Tim, had my complaint the next day handled thru Tim, received a sample pair of contacts in the mail thru Tim, placed my order for those contacts a month later over the phone thru Tim, received the call the contacts and glasses are ready for me thru Tim. Not to mention the kind words sent to me with my contact samples that Tim took the time to write. If Tim is not the Floor manager, Shift Manager, or employee of the month - every single month, then there is a serious problem. Tim is the kind of associate who should not only be well compensated for his knowledge and skill in the workplace but should also be training staff members on how to provide excellent customer service. I tip my hat off to you Tim, I hope corporate SEE's this review and commends you for the excellence you bring to the company. read more

I think this place has gotten spendier since they released the Groupon (I should have purchased). I'm pretty sure that during my first visit (before the Groupon came out), frames were $99 and seldom over $200. When I visited more recently, I was hard pressed to find frames under $300. Drats. That said, considering the sticker shock I had at Visionworks (which is a lower budget eyecare provider, to me), $300 for frames and then lenses with a 35% discount for VSP insurance (even though they don't accept VSP) seemed like a pretty bangin' deal. Well, maybe notsomuch banging, but reasonable for ultra-trendy frames. Add that to a no-interest-for-six-months, SEE credit card with a 10% discount and it's really not so bad. Seriously, every frame is "cool" here. Maybe it's not something you, personally, would wear, but cooler than you nonetheless. Even the ladies who work there are cool and very friendly while selecting the frames that best suit your face. This is no Lenscrafters, so glasses are ready in about a week. Because Cherry Creek can be a sheer parking nightmare, I recommend parking in the Whole Foods garage, walking a few blocks to SEE, and then making a Whole Foods visit and getting your parking ticket validated. Not only do you feel super productive for having accomplished two errands in one go, you also have some very hipsterlike glasses to show for it. read more

On top of that, they have the most current and forward fashion you could find in glasses. I lost my glasses a little over a year ago and since I was sans insurance, hadn't been able to afford to replace them. In all honesty, I wasn't too stoked on the pair I had to begin with (just your basic black square lens crafters frames), so I wasn't too devestated when I lost them. I did however miss being able to see clearly while driving at night. When benefits at my job finally kicked in, I had no good reason not to get some new specs. Before making an appointment anywhere, I browsed a couple of places, and was incredibly disappointed with the generic (and expensive) selections. A friend suggested SEE and I'm so grateful that she did. SEE stands for Selective Eyewear Elements, and they produce and design all of their frames. It's not your standard eyewear chain; it's something more akin to a boutique without the attitude and high price tag. They have an extremely large (and unique!) selection that will fit any style from classic to funky to chic. The staff was amazing. They helped me select a pair that I was happy with and looked great. Best of all, my insurance was accepted there, and I was able to walk out with glasses, lenses, and an eye exam for under $100. read more

I loooove SEE. I SEE them for my frames and I've brought people in to SEE them. So, I SEE them all the time (heh - ok I'm done). When I ordered my first pair of glasses, I still wasn't sure how I felt about the frame. Maybe I felt insecure that they were clearly much better-looking than me? Something felt off but I thought, no better way to prove we belong together than to wear it for a week straight. Everything was fine until day three when... I noticed my nose and cheeks getting itchy... By that night I had large welts on my face. I really don't know how it happened and I've never had allergic reactions before but clearly this was not meant to be. I popped my contacts back in and went back to SEE, welts and all and the manager was so wonderful and helpful! She took care of the whole thing. She apologized (even though it's not her fault) and helped me pick out new frames. As these frames were cheaper, she gave me a refund for the difference and as I was leaving town, she even put a rush on the order for me! My new frames came just in time, I loved them, they loved me and we haven't given each other any questionable itchiness so far, so I can see us being together a long time. I was so thankful and had such an easy time that I ended up bringing my guy in for his frames also. As with mine, he got his pretty quickly and the whole thing was easy. I honestly adore SEE. Any question of pretentiousness or snobbiness was just not there and the customer service is enough to keep me coming back. read more

As soon as I walked in they started picking out eyeglasses for me. This was a very cool experience. I guess I am the last to know which glasses would be best for me, based on the shape of my face, etc. So I was barely inside and I was taken to the back for my eye exam. The optician was very helpful and patient as she (will update with her name) examined my eyes and tested my vision. She was also patient enough at the end with all of my questions about lasik and request for recommendations. Then when I finished the exam the eyeglass specialist was proactive enough to have a wide selection of eyeglasses already picked out for me...I guess based on looking at me when we met when I first walked in. I can't speak for the deal, as I paid quite a bit for my glasses, due to the anti-coke-bottle-thinning-down I needed, but am really happy with the new glasses I purchased. I also asked for an expedite, which on mine they weren't able to do, but they kept on top of it knowing that I needed them for a vacation, and I ended up receiveing them on time. Good job! I bought a Groupon coupon for this company not knowing a single thing about them. I called first to ask if I needed an appointment and they said to just come on in. The girl on the other end was very nice and cheerful. So I go in and I was WOWED! Not only by the customer service but by the selection of the eye wear. They have a very chic eyewear selection So I end up spending way more than I wanted to on glasses and felt buyer's remorse as I left; but when I picked up my glasses, I was amazed at how beautiful they were and how wonderful the fit was. Loved the selection and the fact that they design their own frames. I've been wearing glasses since I was 18 months so I was happy to see some new selection. HOWEVER, and that's a big however I'm counting off significantly for the rude staff, out of the three present when I was picking out frames, ONE was even close to cordial. I get that I wasn't dressed nicely because I had just left the gym but I was treated like my money wasn't good enough there. I legit felt like Julia having a pretentious pretty woman moment. So I come back to pick ten up and they're busy, no biggie - I wait patiently but then they rush me through the fitting process and again appear to be bothered. Love my frames but I won't be back. The folks at SEE were very helpful. I was in and out in a jiffy. I had even placed an order and changed my mind on the style of frames when I went for an eye exam. They quickly updated my order. My frames and lenses came in under five days. I usually go to a generic Lens Crafters type store. I've definitely noticed a difference with my lenses from SEE. They seem to be the clearest lenses I've ever owned. There's no pressure to browse... it's a great environment to experiment with differentness frames and looks. I understand stores that don't want to carry Luxottica glasses: their margin would probably be too low as an independent retailer to survive if they did; and I understand the additional step of just selling your own brand: higher margin still. Heidi has helped me pick out some super stylin' frames that make me both look and feel great. And needless to say, such a fabulous addition to my wardrobe has not gone unnoticed by my peers. People constantly ask where I get my eye wear, as well as tell me how fabulous they look. I couldn't recommend an easier way to to attract a constant flow of positive attention your way. See Eyewear is a gift from the fashion Gods. I always have to wait until trips to NYC or LA to get sunglasses, but not with See in town. They have all of the fashion-forward styles at incredibly reasonable prices ($100 for sunnies)! I did buy a pair recently and had to take them back twice because they were defective. The folks at See were really kind and accommodating and first tried to fix them and then just replaced them. See makes me wish I wore eyeglasses just so I could have a few cute pairs from them. After researching local optometrists, this one seemed to be the best. Dr. Choe gave me an eye exam answering all my questions and not rushing me through them. She was even able to perform the colorblind test which most other places I called didn't even know what it was. The presentation of the store if very clean and neat. The girls working there are extremely helpful. Frame designs are fun, hipstery if it's what you're lookin' for. I went with a more classic frame myself. They do reminder calls which is nice. The self pay prices are good if you can find a Groupon, personally I missed out on this so I ended spending around $400 for eye exam w/ contacts, 1 frame with premium lenses. I LOVE SEE. I have worked in the cherry creek neighborhood for some time now and I finally went over for some new frames about a year ago. Within the past year, I now own two pairs of eyeglasses, one pair of sunglasses and will soon be getting another pair of sunglasses with the yelp coupon. I have always liked eyewear, but have never been excessive in my purchases; however, some might say SEE has brought out a slight compulsion in me. Overall, SEE is great because they have something for everybody. Many of the frames are bold statement makers, but there are options for the more conservative types as well. It is unreal how many compliments I get during the day. I even had a woman tell me I made her day...it's nice to know you can spread little joy merely with a pair of specs! The customer service is exceptional and I really love Angela and Heidi. Even though I have three (soon to be four) frames, I have not comprimised my finances with these purchases. Bottom line, people love going to SEE, people love their SEE eyeglasses, and in my experience, people love looking at people that have SEE frames on. read more

I'm a firm believer of patting someone on the back when they treat you right, so here goes: I've never had such a wonderful eyeglass experience (or even more than a mediocre one previously). The ladies at the store were immediately helpful, giving me 10 pairs within my established comfort zone in the first several minutes I was there. I went to pick up my order today--get this--over a week before they were due to be prepared. Much to my dismay, however, I discovered a dank yelp coupon that would have saved me $140... No worries! I had a new prescription, and my old out of date wire frames were making me cranky. I noticed that SEE had some really good reviews here and elsewhere, but I didn't want to pay a fortune for a good looking pair of glasses. Since I'm no spring chicken, I wanted to get help selecting frames, too! Well, I went to SEE in Cherry Creek. They were just great! Out came the best glasses for my face shape, and I didn't have to agonize by putting on every frame in the store and winding up selecting one that doesn't suit me. I got the glasses in just 10 days. They fit perfectly, and when I got home my husband said he really liked them on me -- and much better than the old glasses. He's next for his pair, and I'm going back for a spare and some sunglasses. Three things I care about: style, customer service, and value. SEE Eyewear has all three in excess. Total package here! I lost an amazing pair of Ray-Bans that I bought in San Diego, and shopped around in Denver to find a place for my replacements. I was bummed by the places I visited, and almost re-ordered the same pair from back in SD-- until I found SEE. I loved their styles, because they carry unique frames -- not the same typical designer brands every other upscale place carries - much more unique. I also loved their service, because it's laid-back, friendly and helpful; they care about helping you look good for a great price. There are two girls named Heidi there who are both fantastic. They helped me go through the great variety of frames with 2nd opinions on what looked good, offered suggestions, etc. And after I picked my frames, they opened books of various lens colors and styles that ultimately left me with a very customized pair of sunglasses. My favorite in the 12+ years I've been buying them. I really can't say enough about SEE and the Heidis -- makes me happy to see so many similar opinions in the reviews here. After way too many months of wearing my last pair of contacts and balancing my broken glasses on my nose while watching TV, I finally decided to get my eyes examined. A friend of mine recommend SEE in Cherry Creek. My first thought was that it would be over priced and high end, but when I checked with my insurance company and saw that it was a recommended provider I decided to try it . IWhen I arrived for my appointment was a bit disappointed to find out that SEE did accept my insurance provider, but not the plan my company offered. Oh well, I was there and really didn't feel like rescheduling. This decision turned out to be a good one. The staff was very helpful and got all of the info I needed to submit my claim to see if I could get part of it covered. The eye exam was pretty standard and the doctor was very nice. Once the exam was complete the fun began - picking out new frames. The frame prices seemed pretty standard, but I was excited to learn that the price included the cost of the lens (single prescription). They also had a sale area and all frames were 50% off. Lucky me, I found a great pair on sale. My eye exam, glasses and 6 months of contacts were less than $300 (granted my frames were on sale). A few days after my visit, I got a call that everything was ready. I happened to be in the car with two sleeping kids. They told me to pull up and they would bring everything out to me. I also got a thank you note for my business. If your vision is a bit blurry or your contacts are way too old - check out SEE. read more

See is one of very few optometrists that accepts my insurance so I tried them out. My experience was amazing, from booking the appointment, to picking out the perfect pair of specs with one of their stylists, Molly. The only drawback is the location and the parking situation. Traffic in the Cherry Creek shopping center is always awful, and parking is meter only, unless you park a few blocks away in the neighborhood close by and walk up, which in the winter can be a pain.
