Today I went to LensCrafters and had my eyes examined by Summit. That went well. I needed to purchase another pair of glasses with my new prescription. I did not plan to go to LensCrafters as I have through the years. I plan to search around and find a better price. And then I met John. He was awesome to work with! Before I knew it, I leftLensCrafters and was very happy with the price and service. John got me in a pair of glasses just like the ones I have, only now they're readers. Extremely rude employees. Angela threated to call the cops on me after Shirin messed up ordering my son's 2 pairs of the same glasses on two different insurances. I received a call on Dec 22nd at 4pm that the second pair is glasses was ready for me to pick up. But when i arrived today to pick up the glasses shirin accused me of trying to seal the glasses. She showed me the tab of the orders where both orders were placed, but shirin wouldn't own up to her mistake. But also couldn't explain how the second pair of my son's glasses where there in the store. Both employees were very rude and disrectful. And to be threatened to have the police called on me in front of John, another employee, was completely unacceptable and both angela and shirin should be fired for their terrible customer service and experience that i received today. I certainly hope the corporate office watches the video of their terrible treatment i was provided. read more

I went here for an eye exam today and this will be my last visit though my family I've been a LensCrafters customer for over 20 years. The doctor spent no more than 5 minutes with me and he didn't even look at my current glasses. I told him that I came to see him because am extremely a halo effect on my vision and everything seems very blurry but he kept saying that there is no issue and that there was a minimal difference in the prescription. When they issued the new prescription I asked if they could measure my pupil distance but they refused saying that they only do it for customers who purchase the glasses from LensCrafters. I find this a total ripoff because when I purchase my glasses online the total price, not using insurance, is less than the copay after insurance at LensCrafter. The choice of frames from the online sites are also much better and they include a warranty which is an additional cost at LensCrafters. read more

I have gone to this location multiple times now. I usually get my eye exam done by their optomotrists and pirchase my contacts through Costco. Never had issues until I decided to get glasses from them. The first issue was that they cracked one of my lenses while cutting them to fit the frames. I waited 2 weeks for them to arrove and was told they would have replacements within the week. It took 2 more weeks to arrive. Once I finally took my glasses home, I had them for about a week before a lense started to fall out. I have rimless glasses and they use a wire to hold in place. The wire was not put on the lense correctly. After this my glasses held up for about 1 year. The wire just recently broke, so I left work to have my glasses repaired. I had to drop them off which was about 1:50pm, at 5:20pm I had not heard from them and I decided to call. I was informed that they were busy and hadnt had a chance to get to them. I had to ask if I was going to get my glasses back the same day and was told no. The fact that I had to follow up and they were not going to tell me that I wasnt getting my glasses back, is very disheartening. I have used Lenscrafters for 25 years and I am considering to never use them again. The customer service at this location is atrocious. I guarentee that I will never go back to this location again. read more

Go elsewhere--anywhere, seriously. I've been wearing glasses/contacts for 40 years and I've NEVER been told that I had to pay additional fee for contacts exam AND that the exam had to be completed on different visit. What a joke--I do not recommend the Summit Eye Care at this LensCrafters location or the staff that fitted me for my glasses. Additionally, they are quite expensive. This place is great and especially Michelle was amazing! She greeted us right when we got there and helped me with 2 damaged sun glasses. She was able to fix them for me in less than 5-10 mins. Just a short review...the optometrist I saw was great and explained everything in detail. Made me feel at home and comfortable. I highly recommend going here for an eye exam...HOWEVER... Do NOT buy glasses here! The lenses and glasses are WAY overpriced. It's as if they know what insurance will pay, then they double that. I'm serious. With insurance I walked away with 1 $250 pair of glasses...that reflects the $130 discount I had...so yes it would have been $380. They're cheaper at Eyeglass World, Sam's, Walmart, For Eyes Optical, etc. and the selection is comparable if not better. Get the eye exam. Turn down the picture of the eye if you want to save $40, get your prescription, then walk out. read more

Upon recent visit to Summit Eye Care inside Lencrafters my daughter questioned the charges for the visit the clerk advised it was her insurance co pay amount being charged, this did not sound correct as it was like $29.99 and $39.99, my daughter knew her co pay was $10 but stepped aside and confirmed then returned to clerk which still tried to say it was her co pay which she knew it was not, my daughter then confirmed they were an in network provider which the clerk agree, my daughter let her know that if in network provider her co pay would be $10 the clerk then disclosed there was a charge for the picture they took which they knew would not be covered by insuranc, the problem being they were being deceptive saying co pay knowing these additional charges they did not advise you would be charged or give you the option to decline the photo, not very professional when you ask a direct question and they deliberately lie until you call them on it. read more

I'm an RN so I'm well aware of the doctor personality but this guy was just a bad attitude and rude! And suddenly with the same ins I've had for 8 years and exact same exam it was triple to out of pocket cost, and that's not including the frames I picked out...this is all in just exam fees that they add to your copay! I've been going to a private eye doctor for 25 years since I moved to this area. I love him but his prices are through the roof now. I decided to try LensCrafters. Not a bad decision. The eye doctor was exceptional. His staff is courteous and helpful. The employees of LensCrafters out on the floor are friendly and very willing and patient. I have been here several times, but will never see Dr. Brad Bessant again (saw other doctors before) and also had issues with overall service here. We normally go to the Lenscrafters in the mall, but due to time slots available, went here this time. I asked if that was an issue and they said not at all, they would get the last contact lens prescription from the other location. We arrived the next morning and I let my adult college-age son go in alone for the exam since he has worn contacts for many years. When he came out, the Rx was a completely different brand and more than twice the previous brand price. I questioned the reason for switching brands from his old lenses and they summoned the Dr. Bessant out. He stated this was the brand he had prescribed and he did not know what the patient wore before. They never called the other location OR looked at the card we filled out with his information on it OR asked me. I asked if we could try another pair as these were much more expensive. Dr. Bessant stated "we don't do things that way here". I stated that we have always been given several pair to try at this location and that I had paid for a 'Premium Fit and follow-up" (the most expensive exam they offer) and that was the point of the premium fit option to determine which lenses were most comfortable, especially since this was a different brand and could we get a set of the old brand to try in the updated Rx. He replied with "well I don't do things like that" and walked out the front door of the location and left. I even commented to the desk staff how rude this was and I have never had such an experience with other doctors there. I hesitate to spend several hundred dollars on a new brand. It would have only taken a few seconds to give us another brand to try and we have always been given several to try for comfort. The brand he gave us was more than twice the previous brand! Again, we paid for the Premium exam and the service all around was poor. read more

We arrived 40 minutes early to look at frames. Amanda was very friendly and helpful. We had an appt at 4:20 and did not get prescreening done until 4:45 and waited to see dr until 5:20. The staff was very knowledgeable about the available frames and which size looked best on my daughters face. She informed me that she was eligible for the kids package which saved us money out of pocket. They were very apologetic for our wait and my daughters glasses were ready in 30 minutes after her appointment. She really likes her glasses. read more

I spent over $500 on my glasses which included the anti glare, anti scratch, and transition coating. In less than 1 year, the coatings started peeling off the lenses. When I bought my glasses into the store, they told me that's normal wear and I needed to buy new lenses! I argued that's not normal, and it hasn't even been a year, and my glasses aren't scratched, the coating is coming off on its own, but it didn't matter. I emailed corporate and they told me the same thing. What a scam!!! I'll Never buy glasses from them again and wouldn't recommend anyone else to. I made a 5:00 pm appointment to get an eye exam for contacts. I took off work off make it. When I got there, the receptionist said they can't fit me for contacts that late in the evening. She argued with me by telling me I did not say "contacts" when I was calling all morning. Shouldn't that have been made clear at the time I made the appointment? I am glad they wouldn't see me because I also learned there would be a $110. out of pocket cost. After calling around, I found this was the highest fee. Look around, You'll find a great service at a lower price. read more

If you're in the market for new glasses go see Melissa!!! She is awesome!!!!! I don't have eye care insurance so I was skeptical about going to lense crafters because I thought it would be to over priced! Not only did she spend almost 2 hrs with me helping me find the perfect glasses, the other staff memebers even joined in and made it so fun getting everyone's opinion! In the end I actually ended up leaving with two complete pairs of glasses! I got Tory burch and Michael kors and spent only about $80 more for two pairs than I would have spent on just one pair had I gone elsewhere! This place is shitty. The staff might have a good attitude. But after going here for 3 years and still having to come in and fill out basics information like name, age, and other trivial information. They need to fix their system because not only is it frustrating but what's the point of making an appointment if when you get to the office you have to fill out paperwork. read more

I had the worse experience I have ever had at a LensCrafters. I made an appointment and in the whole hour I was there a lady had me take my contacts out, then took me to a room where she took pictures of my eyes. After that she took me to an exam room, told me to look at the wall without my glasses (when I can't even see without them, and I did tell her...), set up the tablet they use then took me back to the waiting area and said she needed to wait for a different exam room. I waited and waited, went to the desk and said I have another appointment I was going to be late to. So she took me to a room, asked me to cover each eye and read two rows for each eye (with my glasses on), then I waited for a doctor. Nothing... so then I went to the desk and asked if I'd be charged if I left and she said no so I said I'd reschedule. She also mentioned the doctor was with someone and I'm next. I love LensCrafters selections and prices, but this experience makes me not want to come back to this store ever again. Not fond of the customer service. Fortunately I love LensCrafters and I will return, but not to this store. Things need to be fixed here. When I buy glasses with you I pay for the whole package, transitions and all. The min my glasses ever come out to is $500 for one pair. I expect better service than this. I left unhappy. Very disappointed. read more

I hadn't had my eyes checked in a very long time and knew I needed an eye exam. I saw Dr. Brad Bessant and he is the best! I've known him for a while through where I work and he is such a sweet person and a wonderful doctor! He really took his time with me and is phenomenal! Not only that but the whole staff at this location was super nice and sweet. They were helping me pick out glasses and tell me which ones looked best on me since I've never worn glasses before. I HIGHLY recommend this location and Dr. Bessant. Such a wonderful staff and doctor. No one else I will ever go to for my eyes but them:) read more

I have come to the mall store for years and have been very satisfied. Today however was a mistake. Saturday's are not good here. They push too many people through and it was nerve racking.
