I've been coming here once a year for a few years now. I've never had a difficult time finding an appointment to fit my schedule. There are certain days of the week when the office is open until 7 PM, perfect for accommodating my work schedule. The office staff here is super friendly and knowledgeable. I've never waited long to be seen, a small miracle these days. I have a limited purpose FSA to help with expenses for vision and the team works with me to make sure I'm making the most of my benefits. During my first visit, I felt like the blue light blocker and anti glare were just add on options to increase expenses but I cannot imagine living and working without my blue light blocking lenses! I notice a huge difference when I work without my glasses on. I love this office and staff! read more

I had PRK surgery 16 years ago in another state. My vision was great until this past year, where I noticed the same old change. I did a little research and made an appointment with Vision Source. The staff were friendly, and the appointment was thorough. The doc had an assistant who wrote down all of the readings as we went through the eye exam. I prefer starting with thin contacts and was unsure how they'd fit and feel after surgery. The doc was patient to help identify the precise prescription I needed. I'm a bit of a rookie after 16 years and they were great. The doc gave me sample contacts to try at home and clear instructions to help make it easy for me. Once I decided on my preference, I called the office to finalize my prescription. I did not need to go back in-person. I requested two types of contacts - the same brand name and prescription - one set of "daily" contacts and set of "monthly." The doc was very supportive and I also received a written prescription for glasses to purchase glasses anywhere I wish. I can purchase the glasses at their office but there's no unnecessary pressure. Love that. Office and staff were clean, with hand sanitizer available, pleasant and not awkward distancing, and of course, masks. All together, well done. Thank you to the doc and staff! read more

I have been a patient for many years but it's been going down since Trish left and today they are not able to see a long time patient for an emergency to get antibiotics for stye they sent me to another eye doctor who doesn't even answer the phone. Due to switching insurance I had to switch doctors, and honestly, it was a blessing. Though my previous doctor was very good and the staff was sweet, there was no comparison to the treatment given at Vision Source. From making the appointment, to the actual visit, to purchasing contact lenses...every interaction was more than a pleasure. The visit was to get my 15-year-old son contact lenses for sports, which we had tried with our previous Dr. but that was a failed attempt. Not at Vision Source, both the wonderful technician and absolutely amazing Dr. Quintero, took their time making sure my son felt comfortable, and got the hang of using contact lenses. After testing out a few different brands at home, it came time to order the contact lenses. Once the Rx was finalized, I received a call, and in 5 minutes I had the contact lenses ordered, partial payment through insurance and a promotional rebate of $200.00 (all paperwork provided to me for submitting to contact lenses manufacture for the rebate). And if that weren't enough, they mailed everything directly to me so I didn't have to make the trip to them. Loved that! EVERYONE on staff which I dealt with was fantastic - I am truly grateful to have found the wonderful Dr. Quintero and staff at Vision Source. This office is quick and does extensive checks not only for vision, but for cancers,astigmatism,etc. You also have the option to to have your eyes dialated (Insurance covers this) or pay a small fee to not have them dialated and they use a high tech machine instead. I don't need glasses, but they have a nice selection of designers frames for sunglasses. They fitted me for them and sent them off so they would got me perfect. I live about 20 m away,so the doctor meet me at a gas station near my home when my glasses came in. The best service I've ever had from a doctors office! I drive 20 m every yr to come here fort check up. So worth it, even though I probably pass 10 other optometrist on the way! read more

AVOID THIS PLACE!!! I went here to get glasses after my eye exam. I ordered glasses using my own frame and specifically told Rosario to mark the measurements to lower the progressive bifocal to be exactly like my current progressive lenses...this is a typical process in the industry if you know what you're doing.. 3wks later the glasses came back and I couldn't see ou t of them...which is the goal of getting prescription glasses. Instead of remaking the glasses with the correct measurements specific for my eyes, Rosa and her side kick were RUDE, ABRASIVE AND VERY ARGUMENTATIVE insisting the glasses were made correctly because they said they marked them right. NEWS FLASH...IF THE PATIENT CAN'T SEE OUT THE GLASSES THEN THEY ARE MADE WRONG!...no matter how you marked the lenses!! They didn't care I couldn't see out of the glasses they marked and had the lab make incorrectly. As a former Optician, I know what I'm talking about. AVOID THIS PLACE!!! A 1 star rating isn't low enought for these idiots. All the reviews that are good are fake and written by the staff. read more

I'm new to Tampa and have only had my eyes checked once overseas and have never had a prescription pair of glasses which I've been needing for the last few years because of some farsightedness due to aging. I was skeptical off the bat coming here when my first phone call to their office to setup an appointment was met by a woman on the phone who seemed to act as if every question I had was stupid. I was a bit shocked actually. But because of the decent reviews on yelp I decided to give it the benefit of the doubt and look past this and book an appointment. Upon arrival to my appointment everything seemed to go smoothly and I didn't have to wait too long for some pre-screening tests or to see the Doctor. I thought Dr. Vizzari was very nice and really seemed to know what she was doing. After some eye testing she asked to dilate my eyes so that she could check for eye problems and I agreed. Unfortunately my eyes remained out of whack and I had a constant headache for 3 FULL DAYS after the dilation which I was quite concerned about, things finally went back to normal after the 3rd day. I did a bit of research on eye dilation and found that there can be some adverse reactions to the drops, so I will not be doing any dilation again. I had to wait over two weeks to receive the new prescription glasses which I did think was a bit excessive. When I went to pick them up and tried them on I immediately noticed the right eye vision was blurry and something wasn't right and explained to the woman that was working the glasses area about there being something wrong with the vision in the right eye. She took the glasses and cleaned them several times and "seemed" to have visually inspected the glass lenses each time and would then hand them back. At one point Dr. Vizzari came out and stood a few feet away as I was sitting there discussing the problem with the woman but she said nothing, which I thought was a bit odd. I think perhaps she didn't hear or was focused on appointments, which is fine, but if I were in her position of ownership I would have at least greeted a new patient. After she left I asked the woman if I could speak to Dr. Vizzari about the problem with the glasses and she said she had appointments and that I would have to make another appointment. Overall there seemed to be a complete lack of caring about the issue with the glasses and I was simply "put to the back of the line". Upon reaching home and after further inspection of the glasses, I found a MAJOR flaw in the right lens of the glasses which was CLEARLY visible. The right lens itself is defective and looks like it has a drip embedded within it which is what was causing the visual distortion in the right eye. I simply cannot believe how piss-poor this experience has been. a.) the lack of quality of the product ($450 for an eye exam and simple reading glasses with a drip-like flaw in the lens) b.) the lack of competence by staff in not being able to identify an obvious flaw/drip in a lens that even a first-time glasses wearer could see with blurry vision c.) the lack of caring or concern provided by staff overall d.) after all is said and done (assuming I receive replacement glasses that aren't defective) it will be a month and a half wait for a simple pair of prescription reading glasses This has been a HUGE disappointment. read more

Courteous and helpful staff, was in and out within an hour for an annual eye exam and contact lens fitting. I was very pleased with the extensive help I received while trying to find a more comfortable set of contact lenses; I did not feel like they were just trying to make a sale off of me. The eye doctor was just okay! I didn't appreciate the fact that she was running 45min late for my appointment which is ridiculous since this is an eye doctor not a medical doctor where odd things can arise. Now let's move onto her office staff, huh yeah rude and abrasive. NEVER and I mean NEVER ask them questions as they'll instantly get diffensive and give you a passive aggressive attitude. Rosario and her side kick whatever her name is needs to take lesson on where to mark the lenses for the person wearing them NOT where they deemed they should be. Three weeks later glasses made wrong of course and rosario admitted that she is giving me and my mother and attitude because she feels she did mark the glasses correctly. Even though she clearly did not as I had her mark them where the lab cut them and imagine that they're marked WRONG!! DO NOT COME HERE OFFICE STAFF IS RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL. I've been coming here for years. Always in quickly. Staff is professional.they have convenient weekend hours. I have diabetes and the doctor always takes the time to explain the photos they take and what they are looking for regarding diabetes. I feel well taken care of regarding my eyes and the extra time they take to ensure I understand the possible effects of diabetes on my eyes and the possible complications. read more

I went to this office today and the visit went from disappointing to great and back to disappointing. Upon arrival, I was not greeted by either receptionist at the desk. One was working on the computer,while the other (who was on the floor) asked my name. After I completed my paperwork, I was taken to the back where I was directed to 3 different rooms without the receptionist saying much to me. I understand this is routine for her, but a little communication of where we are going and doing would be great. Maybe even a "hello, how are you today" would have been nice. Next, I met with Ana Ouintero who was wonderful!!!!!!!!! She was patient, very detailed and took her time to answer all my questions. However, when I went to get fitted for glasses, the girl responsible for ordering glasses and taking payments, lacked all etiquette. In between the constant looking at her text messages, she seemed burdened by my questions about insurance coverage and whether I could pay with a check. After I wrote the check I inquired when the glasses would be ready and she "snapped" that the office would be closed next week so it would take 3 / 4 weeks! I told her that wont work since I need to go out of town. Then she said I need to make up my mind now. So I canceled the order and left! Very sad that this great doctor may lose patients because of the poor customer service from her staff. read more
