I've been coming to see Dr Ludke for 4 years! I like him as my eye doctor also his staff. His office is clean and everyone is always polite. I've never had any billing issues Each year, they have to fax my results to another office for me and each year they do it promptly, when asked. Beware! This place loves to take money from you! I've been going here for years and never had any issues till this day. I went in for an eye exam in August. Completed my eye exam and I was told I had no changes to my vision. Good. So, they charge my deductible and that was it. Everything was smooth from there. However, when I was trying to order contacts from 1800Contacts (which I do at least 4 time a year). Eye Site Center refused to renew my prescription because I didn't do the "contacts exam"... They never even told me I either needed it or would like to do it in August. So, they were trying to have me come in and pay for another exam that was not needed. All they had to do was renew my prescription from last year's "contact exam" or use the results from the August exam and I will be able to order my contacts. Which I ONLY NEEDED TILL January since I will be doing LASIK. I will no longer continue to do any eye exams at this location! You've been warned!!! read more

My Husband and I had our eye exams as well as a contact lens exam l return twice for fittings for the contact lenses. Now that I want colored lenses they are requesting me to come back in and pay another $60 for a fitting. I have VSP insurance and we paid over $1000 for exam fittings and glasses. I have never paid that much for glasses and I have been wearing glasses and contacts lenses for over 20 years. These people nickel and dime you to death. My husband is still having issues with his site and the exam was done in December 2022 I do not recommend them at all BEWARE!! read more

That ends 2021. The staff has changed over the years and not for the better. They don't return calls and act like they are doing you a favor when they assist with insurance. read more

This Dr and location are nowhere near me. But when my eye Dr left the team she was with and moved to S FL, I needed a new Doc. My husband and I went out for this journey and it wasn't really too bad off the X-town. The staff upon entry were all very nice, Dr. Mark was prompt and professional, the exam went well and painless except for the pressure puff and dilating drops (I hate both of those). ;) The office is clean, very up to date. The coolest thing is, after the initial check from the tech, the information is put in the computer and as you go into the Dr's exam room, the equipment is adjusting automatically to your specifics before the Dr even gets in there! SO COOL and state of the art! They offer frames and contacts right in the office, so that's convenient! Couldn't want anything more. read more

Disorganized and very unprofessional organization, they put claims into insurance companies without any need or request. So when your glasses which would technically be under warranty needs to be repaired you will not be able to use your warranty due to them falsifying documents. The receptionist is extremely unhelpful and rude they also do not have much variety of frames! read more

I just had an eye exam at the Eye Site Center in Riverview today. I was worried about COVID because of my underlying conditions but was put at ease once I walked in. Especially since every one of their staff wore their masks properly. The staff is always professional and courteous. I was underwhelmed by my experience. I was expecting to get exceptional service after reading the reviews on Yelp and seeing they are 5 stars. I walked in and no one even said hello. The lady at the front desk continued to type on her computer without making eye contact and told me "be right with you". Nobody introduced themselves to me and I was a first time patient. The doctor was very friendly and kind but I still don't know his name. I would expect that there would be more of an effort by the staff to make a great first impression. I have a follow up appointment next Friday, so we will see how that goes and if they will earn my family's long term business. read more

I've been going here for well over 10 years and the dentist is kind, smart, and caring. The staff have been always sweet! It's been the same staff for about the past 10 years, maybe one or two new ones. That tells you something about an office when the turnover rate is low. First time at any Eye Center, in quite some time. The staff was very polite and knowledgeable. You can actually have a conversation with them and it doesn't have to be about eyes. While you're waiting for an eye exam or something of that nature, of course. Seems like you weren't waiting for too long. I've been coming to the Eye Site Center for the past 15 years and will not go anywhere else. They are always spot on with my prescription, they listen to what I need and always help me navigate my insurance. Doctor has great people skills (not always the case with doctors). I have the same reaction to eye doctors as some people have to dentist. So being able to relax and not worry about the appointment makes this a huge plus. Dr Luedke is amazing! Smart, professional, and sweet. However, some of the staff are rude and are not up front with all the different costs and the billing is sketchy. You pay full amount up front and then we will bill your insurance? Strange. The customer service of the office staff was horrible! As a customer I shouldn't have to ASK for them to take 5 minutes to verifiy my coverage. You would think they would without a problem. Wait is over an hour and half to be seen and the AC is working part of the time. Too bad since the Dr is amazing... read more

My family has gone to the Eye Site Center for the last 3 years. Dr. Luedke is always very professional and very pleasant soI have absolutely no complaints about him. My last visit, about a month ago, was SO UNCOMFORTABLE I will never go back. Again, Dr. Luedke was great, but when it came time to order my glasses the visit went downhill. I don't know the woman's name but it was the front office assistant with black hair that wears a ton of jewelry and bracelets. I had to ask multiple times for her to show me which glasses were covered under my plan, which she never really did. She just showed me different pairs without identifying which I received the highest discount on. She not only told me every single pair of eye glasses looked good, including the ones that were obviously very narrow on my wide face, but she then proceeded to try to up-sell me BIG TIME on the add-ons. I understand part of her job is to up-sell a bit, but she kept insisting I get the anti-reflective, the scratch-resistant coating, and the extra insurance on them. When I said I'd just like to get the glasses without any of the additions, she still kept giving me pricing to include either just the anti-reflective, or just the scratch-resistant coating, or just the extra insurance. I literally sat there for 10 minutes while she kept trying to work out new pricing with different add-ons each time even though I told her I don't want anything added. I only wanted the glasses. I've gotten the add-ons in the past but money was a little tighter this visit. I am already paying a good deal for the glasses and just couldn't afford the add-ons this time, as nice and convenient as they may be. Then another assistant sitting at the other table decided to pitch in to tell me how I really needed to get the anti-reflective because people will look at me and not see my eyes...etc... Again, "No thanks, I just want the glasses as-is." Finally, the heavy-braceleted assistant gave in with obvious attitude and annoyance. I have never had an experience where I've been made to feel like I'm a terrible patient/customer because I'm refusing unnecessary and expensive additions!! I don't want any of my family members to be made to feel as terrible as I did at this visit so none of us will return. Sorry for Dr. Leudke, please stress to your staff that while it is fine to recommend add-ons, pushing someone over and over about these items is very unprofessional and off-putting. You just lost 6 previous patients because of it! read more

Let me begin by saying that my experience with Dr. Leudke went well. Very calm and relaxed. I will admit that I am not able to get "regular" glasses. I specifically asked that I have light weight frames, etc. due to my nasal problems. (I have always had titanium frames) My appt. was on 1/10/17. The glasses arrived, however they had to be returned, according to the lab manager, "they didn't look good". I picked the glasses up on 2/7/2017. I had to return the glasses on 2/14/17, due to headaches that I was having from the weight of the glasses. I asked for my prescription so that I could go elsewhere. Tami assured me that they would be able to make new glasses with lighter material. I also chose a titanium frame. The glasses arrived and I picked them up on 3/10/17, after being told once again that "they didn't look good and they had been sent back". (where to? I don't know) I later noticed a purple tint on the lens. I called the office to ask what that tint was. (for reflection) I had not asked for that to be added to my glasses. I would have much rather had the transition lens, however I wasn't asked about that either. I called Tami to see if I would be able to take off the purple tint and replace it with the transition lens. She told me yes for $650. It seems unfair that I should have to pay again for something that Tami included on the glasses without asking. I have never been to an eye doctor's office where I was not consulted about what I was getting/paying for. Now, I am stuck with a pair of glasses that I will only wear around the house and will wear my old pair when going out. read more
