The only minor issues was the length of time it took to get the drinks, and one of the staff members did play with a dog outside at their outdoor tables and then came in but she didn't wash her hands before getting on with the next task. We were the only ones in the cafe, but the wait for our food was still quite a bit, but once it did come out I was more than happy. The Open Vegie Melt was big and cheesy and the Roo Burger was absolutely delicious, not too big, but the perfect size to fill me up. So, after waiting…read morealmost an hour for the Yakiniku for lunch today (which was dry, by the way), it was served to me with with a syringe full of chilli mayonnaise to self-administer. As I was carefully applying the mayonnaise, the syringe practically exploded, spraying chilli mayonnaise all over the people I was sitting with, the table, and spraying droplets all over my new jumper and jeans that I bought in Stockholm last week. While it might have appeared somewhat comical , I was not impressed, as it appeared this happened because there was a blockage in the syringe. And it wasn't uncommon, because the same thing happened to a lady on a table next to me. When I explained this to the charming gentleman as I paid for my meal, he insulted me by responding that since it was a new jumper, it was bound to happen anyway. Great response mate! Insult the customer for a problem that you created. So, I paid for my meal, but can assure you, I will never set foot in your café again and will actively discourage my colleagues from ever eating there again.

But nothing is really worth raving about. The foccacias are a little oily, and a little over-priced. The pasties, muffins and cakes are good, but again, perhaps a little expensive for items that aren't fantastic. The hot food and salads have always left me feeling a little disappointed, and the atmosphere is nothing to write home about. But the service is good, and the staff friendly, the hot chocolate is good and they've always got a good range of stuff, so it's certainly not all bad. Two-and-a-half stars is where's it's at; I'm feeling generous, so we'll call it three.
