The price was right for our needs. I mainly use the sit down bikes due to back issues. I just wish there were more of them and they would keep the TVs working.

How can you not love a place like this?…read more Check it: State of the art fitness equipment. Raised indoor track, 1/6th of a mile around. Professional, certified fitness training staff on site. Indoor pool open year-round. Two full-size gymnasiums with all the amenities. And so much more! The Lenexa Rec Center is a crown jewel of the burgeoning 'City Center' space in western JoCo. Buttressed up against City Hall and the newest JoCo library branch, the Rec Center offers year-round enjoyment. Besides the opportunity for personal fitness, exercise classes, or just free play, the Rec Center offers a community space with loads of classes for all ages. You could even request to host parties or small events here, with staff at the ready to help you during your event. The indoor pool is a real draw, open year-round, save for maintenance windows. There are two indoor slides (the longest in the state), a 25M swim lane area, diving well, and a lazy river. The shallows are ultra-kid friendly, wading to low depths with sprinkles and splashes to boot! You can even find your way to the warm water wellness pool, kept at 90° and perfect for therapeutic relaxation. I'm spoiled because this spot is in my neighborhood, though you don't have to be a Lenexa resident to join. There are other places very similar scattered about town, but for the price, the value FAR exceeds the expectation. Covered parking, food amenities next door, shopping, and more are within steps. Come try Lenexa; I promise you'll love it.

My very first time visiting TRCC was this past Wednesday to meet up with friends who live nearby…read more Here is my experience: Customer Service: 4/10 I was pretty underwhelmed with the customer service. I do appreciate that the staff was diverse, but it seemed the staff wanted to be anywhere but where they were working. Facility: 8/10 This is a nice community center nestled near 119th street. I can tell a lot of the members live nearby and visit often. There were majority 65+ that were in the workout area or playing badminton in the gym. We came right at 11, so the crowd was more seasoned, which we enjoyed. As it got later in there day, more kids came to play basketball on the half court. Price: 10/10 For a day pass, the price is $5 which you cannot beat! Memberships are reasonable as well. Half-Courts: 2/10 We were there to play basketball with our friends. The courts are half-court, which is a bummer. Apparently, there was an issue with unruly kids a month ago, but not sure. We still had fun and nobody bothered us. Overall: 5/10 TRCC is just okay. Olathe Community Center is a lot nicer with more full courts and excellent customer service. I don't think I would visit again but I am happy that the folks living nearby have a facility to go to, especially the 65+ crowd.

We also used the pool table (75 cents), it jammed up on us but the staff was quick to fix it. I think OP is fortunate to have this facility. Looking at the rates it looks like it is very affordable to become a member. I'll definitely be back to use the game room again.

Just got an email they're changing their kid care membership from $15/month for any number of kids…read moreto $8 drop-in for each child or $50 20-punch card that requires a punch for each kid. This is such a huge price jump, especially for those with multiple kids. We've only been members for a month before this and never got told about this change when signing up & there is no grand-fathering in current members. I've also driven all the way out just to have a sign saying the center is closed for the next couple days. There is little to no space for working out other than on equipment. Overall it has just been a constantly disappointing experience no matter how much I've tried to enjoy the membership.

I was confirmed to book an event on June 29th. After finalizing the details with the rental…read morerepresentative, I was contacted and told I couldn't have my event there bc they said my event would be too loud and interfere with the event next door. They said it was a celebration of life. I am celebrating life as well with a Princess Theme birthday party. As a resolution, they offered to move my party up so it could end before 3. They also asked me to change my date, select a location outdoors with June heat, or use one of the centers that did not have a pool. I feel like their actions are discriminatory in nature and not business oriented. When you are renting a venue, you have to be flexible and understanding regarding concurrent events? If the venue expects quietness then perhaps they should have offered the other party a time frame where the venue would be empty. This facility has a great indoor pool and will be packed in the summer!!! It's unfair to cancel my reservation due to them not believing I should be next door. I am extremely disappointed, hurt, frustrated, and confused. I have made plans for family for all over the US to be in town this day. I am simply pressing this matter to the highest level possible. You can't treat consumers in this way and think that sending them away is the best solution. Again, I was prepared to sign my contract and was within my window to pay for it. They chose not to pick me. I want be silenced. It has taken too much planning on my part. Be aware of discriminatory behavior and complain all the way to the top.
