Great service! We had a little language barrier and had to ask for another waiter to help us, but everyone was professional and polite. Plus, we got out food and drinks in such a timely manner despite being a group of 10. Noisy, lively, and dim, and there's a fun llama statue to pet! Occasionally they offer live entertainment too. I ordered pollo a lo pobre and it was alright, but the other dishes we had were great! The ceviche, seafood, and steaks and other grilled meats were delicious. For plantain lovers, the maduros and tostones were excellent! To drink I ordered the "chicha morada" and it's like a delicious cinnamon spiced fruit punch. The tres leches was milky and moist, and it definitely makes me want to go back to try the Oreo version. The alfajores were nice caramel filled, powdered sugar dusted shortbread cookies. Unfortunately, their coffee machine wasn't working, and some of their desserts were unavailable.

We order takeout from this place on a Thursday night and we were pleasantly surprised. The food was ready in like 20 to 25 minutes. Everything came out fresh and hot. For the lomo saltado came with an option of selecting skirt steak or filet mignon, which we got the filet mignon. It was so tender and flavorful. The sauce was delicious with the rice.

The food was average compared places in Paterson or Passaic, and the restaurant was large and had a nice atmosphere. the issue is the horrible service. Our waitress took forever to get our order and after she gave us our food she never came back to our table which was annoying because I couldn't get any refills but more annoying because we had to ask other workers for our bill.

    Plato Marino

Since the moment we sat down and started looking around this experience was amazing. The menu: on an IPad... We ordered a margarita and a carajillo and they were ON POINT! The service, was excellent! Deyanira sold us on the best option for a meal for two (and we still have some leftovers). The food, was 10/10! Feeling like the best seafood recipes have to be Peruvian! Overall you're getting your money's worth! We got the Plato Marino: Fish ceviche, typical Peruvian fried seafood (mussels, shrimp, fish, calamari+), Peruvian style mussels, seafood rice (paella) and spicy seafood. Everything was cooked (and marinated to perfection) each thing goes and compliments the other. Is exceptionally flavorful, crunchy and juicy. Nothing is bland. Except the textures on the things you need them to be. I would recommend this place to everyone!

3.5 stars, what a great addition to parsippany! In a few months as word gets out this place will be a hot spot. The staff was friendly, but almost a little nervous/ overwhelmed. Our waiter took our order and never returned to check in. The chicha morada was perfection! The spaghetti could have used a bit more flavor it was drenched in sauce but not Much flavor. The pollo a la brasa was good nothing out of this world. The steak did have great flavor and kept me eating well after being full. Definitely would return with more friends to get one of those boats with all the food on it

Had a mini reunion with some friends. The service was a little slow. They had a performer, which was quite loud and was difficult to hear each other talk as we were catching up. Our food and drinks was great! As the night progressed, the ambiance got better. We ended up having an amazing time and a lot of dancing!

    Tostones

The steak was our favorite. The chicken was also very good. Fries were soggy partly because this was takeout. The plantains were delicious. We did not like the tostones. It was very dry. We didn't eat there but the restaurant was very loud. Really nice people.

WHAT?!? I CANT HEAR YOU!' WHAT DID?? Did I like the food? I don't know because the loud music ruined the experience. We didn't want to be those people but when my head hurts and I can't have a conversation with my family it's hard not to be. ¡¿QUÉ?! ¡¡¡NO TE ESCUCHO!!! ¿QUÉ PASÓ? ¿Me gustó la comida? No lo sé, porque la música alta arruinó la experiencia. No queríamos ser como esas personas, pero cuando me duele la cabeza y no puedo conversar con mi familia, es difícil no serlo.

This place is an embarrassment to all Peruvian restaurants. Ordered ceviche and pollo ala brasa. Ceviche was extremely salty and it had a huge hair. Half white half blonde. Please see pic. Please do yourself a favor and skip this place. Take the drive to Passaic. The manager Vania said she was going to refund me and she never did. Horrible customer service and food.

Let me get one thing straight. Shan Shan Noodles doesn't care about this review. They don't care if…read moreyou come. Why? Because they are busy AF. They are buzzing. We went for the first time Sunday at like 3pm? Full. Take out orders flying out the door. It's a cute place. Standard strip mall aesthetic. But they do have a window where you can see them hand pulling the noodles. That's right, hand pulling the noodles which is the main attraction. The food is from the North Western part of China near Pakistan so there are some Indian influences like their Cumin lamb and pulled noodles one of their most popular dishes. But I'm getting ahead of myself. With my vegetarian wife who as usual ruins everything by insisting we order vegetarian appetizers. Scallion pancakes were delicious. No pictures because we ate them immediately. Pan fried dumpling. 9 of them. That's a big portion. And it was like 9-10 bucks? They make their own dumpling wrappers, their own dipping sauces. Dumplings were very good. You could really taste the vegetables. Focused on the quality of the ingredients. My wife had the hand pulled noodles in hot oil. Marked spicy it was American spicy. Did not blow your head off. O enjoyed them. They give you a pair of scissors. Because it's one long noodle. Do not use them on your birthday. More on that later. I had the aforementioned cumin lamb and pulled noodles. I liked it but it was overwhelmingly cumin flavored which obviously is the point of cumin lamb. I'm not saying over seasoned I'm just saying it announced itself as this is cumin lamb. Period. We also had bubble tea! How fun is that? My wife had taro which they made with non dairy milk for her. I had pomegranate with exploding bubbles. Never had those before. Also super fun. They did not explode in an American way or even a Chinese way as both countries let's face it are pretty well known for making things explode. No in a pleasant way. Waitress was delightful we had obviously a long conversation about the food and the restaurant. The scissors are for Americans who share their food. In China you would eat the noodles slurp them without cutting them because eating long noodles especially on your birthday is supposed to promote a long life. We did not learn this until after cutting my wife's noodles. It was her birthday. I will miss her but also look forward to meat based appetizers. One door closes and all that. They also own the bakery a few doors down. Very light chiffon style cakes. Not too sweet. Chocolate Oreo cake. I asked if that was very traditional. Oh how we laughed at my hilarious joke.

The dumplings were flavorful, hot, and perfectly steamed. They were definitely the highlight of our meal. Next came the beef pancake which was crunchy, chewy, had excellent flavor, but slightly heavy on the sauce. Lastly, was the braised beef noodle soup. The broth's flavor was on the mild side, whilst relying on the spice's heat to shine as the primary flavor. The beef was also mild, but especially tender. There was also a good amount of proteins in the soup and the hand pulled noodles were perfectly thick and chewy. Overall it was a great dish for a chilly night out.

We were greeted ebulliently by the very nice server, and the service was great throughout the meal, with two servers and the chef or manager (both?) checking on us. There is an extensive menu, from which I chose the Jersey Carbonara and my dining partner had the Shrimp and Pancetta Risotto. Both entrees were delicious and filling, The restaurant bakes delicious bread, which is light and fluffy and somehow tastes vaguely cheesy also. I was one of only two customers when I went for a Saturday lunch around 1p. The other customer was also conversing in Spanish with the front of house. I appreciated that a bottled green habanero sauce was at my table, along with Cholula. It helps add to the authenticity. All that said, maybe don't come here for the tex-mex. I had the Korean Kimchi soup ($17), a fabulous concoction of ramen noodles in a slightly spicy miso broth served with spam, kimchi, a soft-boiled egg, bamboo, wood-ear mushrooms, and corn. My dining companion had the Tokyo Chicken soup ($16) with udon noodles in a slightly spicy miso broth served with sliced teriyaki chicken, a soft-boiled egg, bamboo, wood-ear mushrooms, and corn. My carb-conscious dining companion seemed mildly surprised the chicken filet in her soup was breaded, rather than grilled.. but adjusted expectations accordingly. Both soups were served quickly and were fantastic. The portion sizes of our soups were very filling and the prices are very reasonable for the quality of the food. We will definitely be back! Lunch panic averted -- and what a find!…read more I didn't bring lunch to work and was deep in the "what am I going to eat?" struggle when The Great Wazu popped up in my search. I'll admit, seeing that it was primarily a sandwich shop made me hesitate since I need gluten-free options. But I was thrilled to see they offer gluten-free bread -- and even more relieved when I spoke to the incredibly kind server who walked me through their celiac protocol. As someone who worries about cross-contamination, that conversation alone put me at ease. I originally planned to grab something quick and rush back to work, but I was pleasantly surprised by how spacious the place is. For a strip mall location in Parsippany, there's actually plenty of seating, and the atmosphere feels welcoming and comfortable. Bonus: tons of parking, which is always appreciated. The menu has so many tempting options -- sandwiches, wraps, salads, chips, sweet treats, and beverages. Once I saw they had gluten-free bread, I may have gotten a little carried away and ordered two sandwiches: the Walnut Cranberry Chicken Salad and the Italiano. No regrets! Both were generously portioned and packed with flavor. I was especially impressed that they use four slices of gluten-free bread per sandwich -- which is thoughtful since GF slices tend to be smaller. For the price, that extra effort really stood out. I also grabbed a side of coleslaw and their homemade potato salad -- both fresh, flavorful, and the perfect complement to the sandwiches. Friendly service, great gluten-free awareness, generous portions, and lots of variety -- I'm so glad I found this spot. I'll absolutely be back to work my way through more of the menu.
