The food was okay at best. The over medium eggs I ordered came with one over hard. The corned beef hash which I ordered and cost $2.00 extra (not listed more on the menu) was dry and over cooked. But let's get to my true irritation. Our waitress wasn't wearing a mask (every other waitress, hostess, bus boy was but not ours). In a restaurant with ample seating they have dividers to the middle tables to in my mind block the proximity to another table yet we were seated at a table that was right across from a table where the divider was on the other side. When I asked for salt and pepper it came right off a table from customers who just used it without being wiped down. I realize that things are more lax up in this area but that doesn't mean they shouldn't still consider their customers. Many of the customers were older, I felt extremely concerned for them. I've really been wanting to try this place because I hear they have good soup. Ordered a bowl of the lobster bisque and it was good. Not great, but good. I was too late for breakfast but they had a crab, swiss and artichoke omelette that was offered on their lunch menu, so I tried it and it was good. Service was excellent. Personally, I think this place is probably better for breakfast. Supposedly, at dinner they give you free a glass of wine with dinner and free sorbet after dinner. I was offered free sorbet after lunch. Bottom line: the food was good, not great. I'm gonna give them three stars and will go back after I experience more of what Vero Beach has to offer. read more

Having read reviews, we took another couple with us to check out the Lemon Tree on 26 Jan 2015. We arrive just before 1300 and was told it would be a 20 minute wait. Ten minutes later we were seated in a comfortable booth. We were asked for our drink orders quickly and delivered quickly. Had the sweet tea which was sweetened just right. And shortly after receiving our drink orders, we had the chance to order lunch after the server answered a question I had about the Mahi Sandwich. We ordered two Mahi sandwiches with both the vinaigrette and tartar sauce, a BLT salad and a California Chicken Club. All were served quickly and very delicious. Thumbs up all the way around. The vinaigrette surprised me as it was thicker in consistency than anticipated, and very tasty. Didn't need the tartar sauce. Our iced teas were also refreshed without asking. To top it all off, we had the raspberry and lemon sorbet in a martini glass. A nice way to end a wonderful lunch. Overall, quick seating where all the tables were taken, quick service and food that hit the spot. Recommended. read more

I love this place. My father live ls in Vero Brach and every time I visit him I ALWAYS come here at least twice. You can't go wrong with anything. Their sausage is good quality not the diner icky stuff. I always get two egg whites scrambled with mushrooms, side of sausage, substitute the potatoes their AWESOME cheesy grits. My boyfriend ordered the cinnamon French toast with is soooo good. The service here is great, all the staff is friendly and very quick. The owner is super nice also. I give the Lemon Tree restaurant 3* and that is generous. I have heard this was "THE" place to have breakfast. Sorry, I have been to " Hash houses" that are just as good at half the price. The noise level was at Fenway Park level when the Sox won the World Series. Way tooooo noisy if you are looking for a relaxing and quiet breakfast/brunch go to McDonalds. The "freeby" of the day was a lemon or rasberry sorbet. I ordered the lemon and my companion the rasberry. It was plopped in a plastic martini glass that looked as if it had been recycled from the next table. Our waitress assured us that they were clean and what we were seeing were scratches in the plastic. Medium to high prices, average food. Really nothing extra ordinary. Not the place to take the mom for a "Mothers Day" breakfast/brunch. I would put this place on a level a little above the Kountry Kitchen. read more

Came here a few times for lunch with the fam while I was visiting for the weekend as this is one of their go-to spots for brunch / lunch. Very cute spot at a great location on the main strip. Tends to be a short wait (10-15 mins average) during peak hours. I ordered the house salad with a crab cake and it was tasty and satisfying! Everything here seems to be prepared really fresh and with a healthy conscious. Finished the meal with a complementary sorbet (lemon or raspberry) which was very refreshing! Great way to end the meal. Service was attentive and friendly. My two little sisters were occupied easily with the crayons and coloring sheets they gave them. One of my favorite spots to go to when I'm down visiting, I'm sure we'll be back again next time! read more

We got here about 20 minutes after they opened and got seated immediately in a booth near the front counter. I loved seeing how many regulars came in while we were eating our breakfast and how the staff greeted each one by name. It's obvious that locals love this place. I must be honest and say we really like the Lemon Tree Restaurant, it's food, and it's atmosphere. But with the Covid around the servers must wear masks for us to feel comfortable. All do except server Julia. She don't like a mask and refuses to wear one. And so we will not be going any longer. If you don't mind her breathing on your food without a mask...enjoy. We enjoyed our dinner here so much that we were back less than 12 hours later for breakfast. We found Lemon Tree via Yelp and it was less than a block from our hotel. The reviews were great so off we went. What a homey little place. The food is very good as is the service. My favorite part was how the staff knew all their regulars by name (and there were many!) For dinner I got a nice chicken picatta which was done perfectly. My wife got a fish special that she raved about. Portion size was perfect as bigger doesn't equal better. Dinners also come with a glass of wine and a sorbet dessert. Just a wonderful meal. For breakfast the next day we both got omelets which came with the standard home fries and toast. Once again, the staff called all the regulars by name, making it a favorite place for us. We shall return. read more

This place is cute, clean and the staff was friendly. We had to wait a little bit but seeing as this seems to be a favorite amongst breakfast places on yelp, it was to be expected. There is no room inside to wait, so expect to be hot and hope to find a bench to sit on with some shade while you wait. I ordered the house corn beef hash with 2 eggs and potatoes. It was ok. I probably should have gone with my gut and ordered a croissant breakfast sandwich, though. I didn't particularly like the taste of the hash. I'd definitely go back if and when we visit Vero Beach again and try something else. It earned the fourth star for the complimentary mini chocolate chip muffins that came with our checks. 1st visit, and we happened to get in on the last weekend of dinner service, during the season. We were greeted immediately and as soon as we sat down were offered a glass of house wine. My husband had the lobster bisque and lobster pot pie, I had veggie soup and the grouper - the special. Our meals were phenomenal, just superb! Sad that we'll have to wait until the winter to get dinner there again, I guess we'll just have to go for brunch in the meanwhile! The Lemon Tree is a staple in Vero Beach. Every time I visit, I order the lobster bisque - classic. Hasn't changed in 16 years. During this visit I also had the special which was a quiche with cheese, spinach, bacon, and mushrooms- delicious. The ambiance of the Lemon Tree is adorable, and our waitress was so sweet. Love this place. Awesome lunch, great service/food, personable and charming owners (former native of Mass.). The half sandwich with lobster bisque was delicious. They use romaine lettuce on their sandwiches and nice ripe tomatoes in their tomato mozzarella salad (they don't cheap-out with iceberg lettuce or cut corners with sub-par ingredients). All orders for the table were spot on, constant attention from the server and was offered coffee to go. Have never had a bad meal here yet and have been 40+ times when we are in town. Small place but a really neat little restaurant (painted yellow naturally).  Really busy so you might have to wait out front on the patio for a table.  Wonderful breakfast menu (served all day) and a really good lunch menu as well (served until 2:30). I had the Lemon Tree Signature Breakfast Sandwich - Egg and Cheese served on a Fresh Baked Croissant with Ham and a side of Breakfast Potatoes. I also had an extra order of Cheese Grits (delicious).  My breakfast companion chose the Lemon Tree Eggs Benedict - 2 Poached Eggs covered in a Lemony Hollandaise Sauce on an English Muffins with Ham.  We both thoroughly enjoyed our breakfasts.   Very popular place with the locals so expect great food.  You won't be disappointed.  GOOD FOOD AND GOOD SERVICE. read more

I love Lemon Tree. I love their staff, too! They'll remember you if you've been coming for years or just a few times - it's that southern hospitality and good food that brings us back time and again! The place isn't large - maybe 100 seats or so - but the wait pays dividends. Eggs Benedict, daily quiches, yummy pancakes, salads of all types and delicious coffee delivered with big smiles and, often, a hug. Tables can accommodate two to eight - non reservations. When you've finished your meal, a small backer of mini-muffins will appear. Pop them in your mouth or save them 'til later, if you can! I am a breakfast and brunch person , so my expectations were pretty high. the lemon tree was just ok, I guess one of the most decent breakfast to get around Vero Beach. I had the breakfast sandwich - croissant sandwich with choice of bacon or ham, with eggs and cheese . Small portion, but the taste was not bad . The were very busy, but that didn't slow down the service or the quality of the food. They bring you a full pot of coffee, so you never run out of a cup. We've heard great things about lemon tree, but we're disappointed with the food. We came for lunch, not breakfast so take this review with a grain of salt. Lobster bisque was way too thick & gelatinous, hardly had lobster in it and flavor was lacking. Mahi sandwich & chicken club were both fine but nothing to brag about. The complimentary sorbet was a nice touch. The waitstaff was friendly and efficient. I'll plan to update this review once we try breakfast. read more
