Mmmmmm, suckling pig sandwiches - we were given a tip to go to the Mercado Bom Sucesso and to seek out this place, and were not disappointed. We ordered two sandwiches, which come with crisps (chips). The meat is delicious and moist, heavily seasoned with pepper, which gives it a lovely kick, served in a ciabatta-like bun. Being from the UK - I'm more used to having crackling and apple sauce with roast pork, but this was so good that neither were missed. Perfect hangover cure! As the market is like a food court, it's advised that you try some of the other stalls; the seafood stall will give you an obscene amount of shell-on prawns to work through (also a great hangover cure). All great value, and highly recommended!

Very nice place, the guys at the counter were very friendly. The bread is the perfect match with the meat. Definitely worth trying.

The best pork sandwich I've ever had. Staff very helpful and friendly. The red sparkling wine was a nice compliment to the meal.

We ordered a few tapas to share: croquets de alheira and croquets de codfish. Both were so good! We loved it. The star of the show though was the pork neck tacos! They were so delicious! So much flavor and perfect. I got the lemonade and it was just okay. Nothing special. Overall, would 100% recommend this place! Make a reservation if you can but if you can't, would still try to stop by!

Definitely recommend making a reservation, I found it impressive that the hostess's reservation system was essentially a notebook and pen in this digital age. We did not see much of our waiter, since the restaurant was extremely busy and filled up with diners. Standouts: 1. Razor clams - I'll always get these if I see it on the menu. Cooked in this incredible garlic sauce. 2. Fish and seafood cataplana - delicious, tomato-forward seafood stew; I liked the version that we had the night before more which came with rice and was more filling. But this was basically a never-ending bowl of fish, clams, mussels, and shrimp. Add to that the fact that the restaurant like most in Porto did not have A/C and I emerged feeling like I had been sitting in a sauna. Skipped dessert; I had my eye on the Weeel! froyo truck parked outside. One more nit - the metal chairs are not comfortable at all for sitting a long time in.

Exemplary Service, Incredible Modern Cuisine, and an Unforgettable Family Dinner at Tasco!…read more I cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience at Tasco. This was our final night in Porto with three generations at the table--my wife, our two daughters, my parents, and myself--and we wanted a special place to celebrate the end of an amazing trip. My wife had walked into their famous neighbor, Muu, the night before to see if she could get us in, but they were completely booked. However, the co-owner of Muu and Tasco couldn't have been more festive or welcoming! He accommodated us by booking a table for our group at Tasco--their sister restaurant right next door--for the following night, and he even did a shot of tequila with my wife to celebrate. Talk about incredible Portuguese hospitality! Traveler Tip: Tasco is co-owned with Muu, literally right next door, and shares some of the same kitchen facilities and culinary staff. If you can't get into one, definitely check the other--you're getting that same exceptional standard of food! We were seated in their fantastic private dining room, which was perfect for our family. Tasco serves elevated modern cuisine designed to be enjoyed family-style. We started with the Cogumelos Mágicos (wild mushrooms) and the Cyber Punk (fresh tuna sashimi)--both were incredible and packed with flavor. For our main courses, we shared the Rib Eye, Black Angus, and Supremo de Robalo (sea bass). Every single dish was cooked to perfection and loved by everyone from the kids to my parents. As impressive as the food was, the service during a chaotic moment truly set this night apart. Mid-dinner, my wife accidentally broke a wine glass right on the table. Before we could even feel embarrassed, our server stepped in with total grace and composure. They cleaned the entire area seamlessly without disrupting the flow of our meal, and upon noticing my wife had a small cut on her finger, they immediately brought out a bandage with genuine care and concern. From the warm tequila-fueled welcome the night before to looking after us so thoughtfully at dinner, the team at Tasco delivered exemplary service from start to finish. If you're visiting Porto and want incredible modern dishes, warm hospitality, and an unforgettable vibe, Tasco is an absolute must-visit!
