Bought a replacement hose for our pool was the wrong size we didn't open package we tried to return it (not knowing about a no return policy) when we asked when buying the young girl working about returns exchanges she said uh I think so. When we tried to return it another associate ( perhaps the owner ) said no refund/exchanges. Was EXTREMELY RUDE stated this a "woman owned" business not sure what difference that would make! This was the worst experience and a complete waste of money. I went in because my pool levels were out of control and I had only put up the pool about two weeks before. I was referred here and the kid who helped me was nice but didn't understand the pool test results. I did have the gallon amount wrong and Kim helped fix that based on the size of the pool. At first she was helpful and so nice explaining everything to me. We focused on the chlorine issue first and alkalinity. She told me to call back the next day to tell her what the test strip said so we could see how to proceed with the other issues. I called and told her the results, she said hold off on product and call her back that evening before they closed. I called and left a message. The next day I called back to find out next steps as we were waiting to buy other products to fix the other issues once the first two were addressed. I get on the phone with her and she starts saying that she's doing me and my kids a favor, no one calls back, it's a one time test and discussion. EVEN THOUGH SHE TOLD ME TO CALL BACK. Why tell someone to call when you don't want them to call? She starts staying I've called twice a day for four days... I bought the product Tuesday in store, called yesterday as she said to, then followed up today because she told me to call her back to discuss. The reviews are consistent with her doing this with other customers. How can someone tell you to do these things then manipulate you into being the bad person. I asked how I'm supposed to buy the other products from her when she told me to wait until these were controlled to discuss the next phase. This lady is awful and has the worst customer service. Thanks for trying to make it seem like I did something wrong when I've done what you told me to do. Don't tell people to call when you don't want them to and maybe set clear expectations in the beginning instead of confusing people to get them to spend hundreds of dollars on your products. read more

Not sure how many people will read this as I didn't read any reviews before I came here. Now, in reading other reviews, I see there is a pattern here. The husband of the company is very nice and helpful. I had to make multiple trips in a short period of time to try and find the right fuse for my hot tub. (Which ultimately needed 6 fuses of different sizes). On the last trip, the husband had to go to the back to get the last fuse. While he was gone, the woman told me I was taking advantage of her husband because this should be a $115 service call. I stated I would be happy to have him come out to fix the problem. Her reply - as snarky as she could muster, "ya, I bet you would like that!" I stated I had been there and had bought fuses each time I came to which she replied, ' ya, for 6 dollars!" "Can I talk to your husband?" "No, you can leave or I'll call the cops, you're trespassing?" I'm not making this up people. I was kicked out of her establishment for apparently not buying enough. There had been no other customers the whole time. I was the only one there so it's definitely a head scratcher as to why she was so angry about a PAYING CUSTOMER. I believe honestly I was witnessing someone slowly losing their grip with reality. If the owner (husband) would like to discuss this episode with me, I would love to do so. I don't think I've ever been so abused at a place of business before. Now, as I read other comments, I'm just grateful I didn't have any of my younger kids with me. If you're in a pinch and have to go there, keep your head down, avoid eye contact at all cost, and pray the 'crazy old woman' isn't there. read more

My husband and I had a great experience purchasing our hot tub at Leisure Pool and Spa. The owners were helpful, from walking into the showroom until our hot tub was delivered. As we tried to decide on a hot tub, the owners were accommodating in answering our questions. We never felt rushed or pressured. Once we purchased the hot tub, the delivery process was quick and timely. When the hot tub was delivered, the crew of three was kind, professional, and considerate of our property. John, the owner, was there upon delivery. He took much time to go over our hot tub's features and how to maintain it. He answered all of our questions before he left. She would not give me more than 1 price for 1 model over the phone. I explained I live out of state and cannot stop by but am having it delivered locally near her. First off..... Great Location......I drove an hour to pickup a pool pole & leaf rake. Got the home and unpackaged...after 24hrs the leaf rake was distorted and I could not bend it back. Its unusable so I called and I was more than rudely told you must go thru the manufacturer for warranty. OK, Ill play the game...called the manufacturer and was promply told the return starts with the seller (Leisure). OK... multiple emails to both.... I find out Leisure isnt a distributor for the product I purchased. So I'm screwed..... they wont replace the item or refund. CROOKS all the way. I have never been treated so terribly!!! EVER. The best part is I spent $4500 on a new heater a month ago..... getting HEATER ERROR messages every day and Leisure wont return my calls. Sweet!! read more

I purchased a master spa from leisure pool and spa. I spent about ten K. I chose leisure pool and spa because I've been buying my chemicals for my old spa there for years. I have had the spa just under two years. The cabinet began to warp, the display went out the top was degrading the pillows were crumbling. I called leisure pool and spa to get the service arranged, after leaving over eight messages a week and a half apart I had no response. So I drove to their store only to find that you couldn't go in even though the mask mandates had been terminated. There was a phone number, I called it they sent a young man out and took my information and promise someone would be in touch shortly three weeks later and being very frustrated I finally called the manufacturer. They said they would get in touch with leisure pool and spa's and see what they could do. A few days later I did receive a call from a technician he said "let me see what I have in stock. I will call you back shortly." After another two weeks I called the manufacturer to find out if there was someone else I could call. They gave me a number of a fellow in Salt Lake and we scheduled for two days later and he was very prompt and came out and ordered the parts. Master spas however took nearly 2 months to get me the parts I needed to repair the spa. If you're shopping for a hot tub shop somewhere else they have absolutely have no service at all they want to sell your spa and then never talk to you again. I would also avoid master spa. read more

If I could give them a zero I would. I couldn't get a single person to return my call so I set an appointment online to get a service call. Showed up the appointment was veey quick to get me my quote. I approved the quote and was told by email that someone would be in touch with me. I waited a week with no word. I made 5 call with voice-mail left no return call. The 6th call someone actually answered told me the tech was going to repair my pool on Friday. Friday no one showed called said he'd me there Monday. Monday no one shows calls Monday says Tuesday. Tuesday comes no one shows calls says for sure Wednesday 2-4 DOESN'T SHOW. I call today (Thursday) the owner Jon tells me they are busy and he's sorry that I'm upset there other customers love them. Who treats their customers like this?? Don't shop here!!! read more

I have had a good experience in here before and I was thinking of getting my hot tub supplies from here so I went in on May 4 to ask some questions and basically was told we're only doing curbside and they wouldn't even talk to me and then got touchy when I was explaining I just had some questions. When you call them they tell you the service guy had an emergency the day before and all appointments are canceled and they don't know when they can get to me. I don't usually choose to give business reviews, however the woman I spoke with was completely unprofessional and rude. When inquiring about a spa cover, I was told to exit the building so other customers wouldn't hear what she had to say to me. She escorted me outside the building and proceeded to yell and me and accuse me of "taking away from her family business" because my spa was a not from their company. I explained that I had made multiple requests for pricing and was genuinely interested in purchasing from them and gave them my information, but I never received a call back. We showed up at the store in Ogden on a Saturday morning. We called inside the store as the sign in the parking lot requested. Kim answered and said they would be happy to talk about purchasing a hot tub. She followed all Covid restrictions and I love the concern she had for her at-risk employees and in turn us in showing us the options. They have been in business for over 20 years and Kim was clear, and concise in what they had available, and what to expect from them. We found the perfect hot tub for our family and to add to our delight it was a great deal and product and they even offered to deliver (64 miles out of their way) and install that very night. They showed up on time and stayed outside (in 20 degree weather) even offering up longer conduit for install than what we had available. (They also followed strict covid protocol the entire duration of install) John and Kim stayed until 930 pm on a Saturday night to help us, new customers. We are so happy with this company and our new hot tub. We are glad we purchased from them and expect to have a great relationship with them as life-long customers. read more

His wife ordered me to leave the store or she would call the cops, demanding that I leave the item that I had purchased for $190.00 there. I have never been treated so horrible by anyone. I am not sure what's going on with this business. We have had great service from Brandon for 2 years and then this year he made 4 appointments and missed them all. He was the one who suggested we have him come back out and evaluate our pool - but he'd make appointments, I'd wait for him - and he'd never arrive. The first time he called - after that he didn't. This fall, I can't get them to respond to an email about winterizing the pool - so sadly - I guess I'm done with Leisure Pool. Brandon is a good tech but if you can't rely on him or the company - that's a problem. I understand now what other reviewers are saying. I'll find a better, more reliable company. read more

We purchased a Master Spa hot tub brand new 6 months ago from Leisure pool and spa. We were enjoying our new hot tub that we spent over 10k on, until about a month ago we found out it went out on us and had a faulty display panel. A technician came out and promised us he would over night the part and would get our hot tub up and running as soon as he could. It's now been 3 weeks and we have not heard from this technician. I was calling to ask a few questions specific to the product (about diverters) and company, get a couple prices and then purchase. It was not a good experience. Lady on the phone was super rude. I gave it a 1 star only because 0 stars was not available. i ordered a spa back in July and paid a deposit. The spa was supposed to be delivered. I inquired several times, and got evasive answers as to when the spa would be delivered. I called the Master Spa's customer service number - they told me they could give me a status if I gave them the work order number. Upon calling Leisure Pool and Spa, Kim refused to give the number and then proceeded to berate me about going 'over her head'. This must have been the most bizarre and unhinged customer service experience I had. Moral of the story, they lost this customer and furthermore now I have to wait x more months to get a spa somewhere else. Judging by the other reviews I am not alone. Never in my life have I seen such poor service in any industry-- I should have trusted the other 1-star reviews. For the first few months taking care of our pool, Leisure Pool and Spa was very attentive, but eventually the pool tech started to get spread way too thin. Sometimes we were even charged when the pool hadn't been serviced. We resolved these issues, but this should have been foreshadowing for more to come. Over the winter, we installed a winter pool cover which Leisure Pool & Spa said would hold up all winter. It did not. When asked to have someone come fix it, they said they wouldn't be able to do anything until the spring. After some persuasion, they were able to fix the cover at the end of February. However, the vinyl liner had seen some damage, so we opted to replace it. Leisure Pool & Spa had us pick a vinyl liner online through a link they sent, which we did. They fixed some holes temporarily in the liner and were scheduled to replace it in the spring. Out of nowhere, Leisure Pool & Spa stopped answering any of our calls. I asked if we were on the rotation because it was apparent the pool hadn't been cleaned. No response (for weeks). Finally, after leaving a voicemail asking if we could get the new liner installed, I receive a text informing us, "The owners have decided we aren't doing liner on pools we didn't build anymore." This was the first we had heard of this decision which set us back substantially. Meanwhile, we are paying water costs to have a hose in the pool for 24/hours a day for many days to avoid any damage from having an empty pool. My associate called Leisure Pool & Spa and spoke with Kimber, the owner/manager, who proceeded to yell at him. He was trying to get clarification on why Leisure Pool & Spa no longer would do work they initially had scheduled. Kimber called my associate a liar and said they never would have agreed to install a liner on our pool because it had "major structural damage." Never once were we informed of the major structural damage they claimed. We had another company evaluate our pool, and they confirmed there was no structural damage. The other company successfully replaced our vinyl liner that month. I wish I could leave a better rating for Leisure Pool & Spa; however, based on my experience I would recommend that you look for another company for any pool servicing needs. read more

I wish I could give 0 stars! I wanted to find a Master spa based on reviews from hottubuniversity.com and was referred to this place from a Manufacturers website. This place of business reached out to me by phone, text and email. I was working with a wonderful sales person Kimber. I was negotiating a price on a floor model hot tub. It wasn't exactly what I wanted so I made an offer of $400 less than they were asking still over 8k. She agreed to the price and then that is when it went downhill. From out of the back I hear a woman yelling "you can't do that". To both mine and the saleswoman's surprise the woman came out from the back and continued on this rant. She told the saleswoman to call the owner on the phone "now". So away she went to call, about 15 minutes later she comes back and tells me she can't sell me the hot tub for the agreed upon price. Shocked by what happened I left the store without a hot tub. I sent an email to Kimber the salesperson asking for a price on a new hot tub that was designed by me and shipped from the manufacturer. In the past she was very responsive, this time I get a call from the owner John saying he was told to give me a call. I didn't ask him to call me so I said I emailed Kimber for a price on the tub. He said that everything needs to go through him (lame). So the great saleswoman was taken out of the equation. John never provided me with a price and I never heard from him again. I really wanted a Master hot tub so I physically wet into the store again to give them a chance. The woman at the front desk had to take a message, for John. I asked what would the price be for 2 different models. To this day 2 weeks later I haven't heard back from John. I understand that this is a family owned business so I suspect that Kimber is the daughter, the lady yelling from the back was mom and John is dad. So, long story I bought a Bullfrog spa. It's unfortunate that this is the only Master spa dealer in the state of Utah. I filed a complaint with Master Spa and told them they need to find a new dealer because Leisure pool and spa was not helping them in the Customer Service department. read more

If you want to be told to screw off and get hung up on, this is the place for you! Ownership has anger issues. John Brady (owner) was all smiles when it came time to buy, but after spending well over 10 thousand dollars at his business, he was usually kinda gruff and seemed put out by having to deal with us. We had an issue with our master spa that was covered under warranty. Shortly after this warranty repair the under water screw the tech installed began rusting. After two months of being ghosted via phone, text, and email I was finally able to get Mr. Brady on the phone who was again gruff and put out by having to speak to me. Mr. Brady then proceeded to attempt an excuse about improper water chemistry being the cause of deteriorating hardware and he would charge me to come out and replace it, despite the fact that the warranty fix was the ONLY hardware rusting. I told him I'm not paying for a warranty repair, which Mr. Brady's response was to hang up on me. I called him back in an attempt to salvage the situation only to have him yell at me to screw off and was hung up on again. We filled a complaint with Master Spa...we'll see what happens. I will say that if you do choose to do business with this company ask for Chris (owners son). At least he has some sense of how to be polite to customers. read more

I called leisure while in ogden to find out about treatments for my hot tub, the lady that answered was very unpleasant to speak with but said she had the stuff I needed so I went to their location. Once I got there I found out I wasn't going to be allowed in, I was asked what I needed and after replying that I wasn't sure and needed to look around she went back into the store and I was ignored. While standing at their entrance instead of driving back to Tooele and looking for a store on the way I searched and found hot springs northern Utah just down the road, after calling them and them immediately knowing where I was based off the experience I just had I felt much better about going and spending my money there. I would highly recommend hot springs over leisure based on the customer service and knowing the great selection of items hot springs has, the lady I dealt with at leisure could not have been less professional. read more

Place conviently located. Store has a nice appeal. We went in looking for a part for our hot tub. A nice young gal met us at the door with a friendly greeting. She was unable to find the part. A co-worker who may be the owner or manager, was helping someone else, which seemed like it was going to be a while. The gal was trying to politely ask for his direction- he brushed her off saying we'd just have to wait. We didn't mind waiting & browsed around. When he finished he came to the counter without a look or greeting- grumbled that he probably didn't have our part. He looked through some catalogs grumbling our hot tub was old & the part probably wasn't made anymore. Things were looking grim. He did find a place that might have it & started to call for price. Since my spouse was carrying the conversation, I stepped away to look online. Whew! This got him angry, he hung up the phone & said if we were going to look online there's no reason for him to check! I would avoid buying a spa from this business the customer service is poor. I had left my cell number to have someone follow up on my questions. The next day no one had returned my call so I called them. The lady that answered remembered me but said that "she was not sure of my intentions based on my questions" from there it took on an adversarial tone to it. Originally she mentioned that the spa needs to be drained every six months and so I asked, how do you drain the water from the spa every six months, was it okay to put it out to the grass - would that kill it and or is it against city regulations to put it down the sewer? I wanted to know how her family drained their spa. They have been in business for 40 years, there should be a good answer. I had two requirements, one was to be able to fit at least 6 people and the other to be able to get my 84-year-old father in law in and out safely. She said that a safety bar could be attached to the out side, but to get out, a smaller spa which had a step in it was available - which would not satisfy fitting 6 people. As an engineer, I expect to find solutions to problems by talking them out, and I was hoping that she could offer how some of her other customers had solved this type of problem. I was polite in asking these questions but for $8,000 I would need to have everything answered before I would put out that kind of money. But hey I learned something, I did not think to check the Better Business Bureau ( they have only a couple of complaints) or looking at yelp for reviews - not a lot of satisfied customers have added comments. At the end of our "conversation", I asked to speak to the owner or manager and she said that she was it. She then asked what I did for a living and what my address was - now I am usually a pretty easy going person but there is no way anybody should be treated like that. After doing the quote unquote curbside pickup and her not telling me the price a gentleman came out said it's going to be about $22.50 but he wasn't 100% sure I asked if he could get me the price he went back inside and she ran my card for more than double that. I did not want to pay that price I told him I wanted to refund immediately she came out all huffy and puffy saying things like I'll give you a refund but it's going to cost you $10 cuz it cost me $5 to swipe the card each time when she shouldn't have swiped it in the first place completely illegal. She is a a thief do not go here unless you want to be ripped off. And I still only got a partial refund I'm going to dispute it with my credit card company and she's going to lose all of it and still have to eat her swiping fees not my problem. This is the worst business I have ever encountered. They are disorganized with their inventory, they are rude to their customers. They advise and sell incorrect items. When brought to their attention they threaten to have you thrown off their property claiming they have every right to refuse service as they are a business and they are about making money. I have recently put in a pool and contacted many of the contractors about this company and they will not do business with them any more because of their poor business skills and lack of customer service. I try hard to support local businesses, but after this experience I would rather order from the internet or travel out of town than have to put up with the abuse of two older people who are only out to make a quick buck. read more

My husband purchased a $250.00 spa cover lift not realizing I had already purchased one earlier in the day for only $65.00. Not even 24 hours later we returned the spa cover lift to Leisure Pool and Spa in Ogden, UT still in its original packaging and we are told they have a strict no return policy. I start looking around the building and there are no signs posted of such a policy to be seen by customers prior to purchase anywhere in the building. So we ask where is this policy posted...can you guess what we were told "its on the receipt"....are you freaking kidding me???? Have you ever heard such ridiculousness? Then we are told they are a small business and can't restock product on the shelf once it has been sold. Excuse me!!!. How does that even make any sense? Especially when the product is still in its original packaging and it can clearly be seen that the product has not been used or installed/uninstalled. We ask to speak with the manager...of course the manager is not available so we are told a message will be delivered and we will receive a call...yeah right. We ended up having to call in to speak with the manager. Before I get into how that call went I would like to reiterate their no return policy. Not only are there NO POSTINGS OF SUCH A POLICY in the building, the sales person did not bother to mention this policy before the purchase or even after the purchase was made. Oh and by the way, the no return policy is in small text at the very bottom of the sales receipt. Seriously....they don't even make their customers aware of this policy until its too late and the sale is already final. CROOKS. Clearly they are not concerned with customer satisfaction. Looking at the previous postings from disgruntled customers and the rebuttals posted from the owner of Leisure Pool and Spa, they clearly have no respect or regard for their customers or for having repeat customers. I know I will never purchase anything from them again and will continue to discourage everyone I know from purchasing from them. I will make it my mission to deter people from making the same mistake my husband did. They are untrustworthy people who should be put out of business. Save yourself the trip and buy from another spa dealer or purchase online. You will get a better product and better service and have the option to return the product regardless of the reason. As for the call with the "manager/owner" he got on the phone by answering "yeah". I asked if I was speaking with the manager and he said " I'm the one on the phone, what do you need" I repeated the problem as described above and he told me he was not going to do anything. It is what it is. I proceeded to tell him I was going to contact an attorney and file a complaint with BBB (which they are not affiliated with...shocker) and he told me that is my right and hung up on me. Again clearly this business has no regard for retaining repeat customers. I am so glad this horrible exchange took place over something so miniscule as a $250.00 spa cover lift. I would absolutely be disgusted with myself had I entered into a $10k + spa purchase agreement with them and received such treatment like some other disgruntled customers have. read more

SAVE YOURSELF!!! Don't use this company. Leisure Pools put our pool in 20 years ago. We've used them ever since until now. We had to replace the liner this summer and working with them was a joke. Once I ordered the liner it took over one month to get a phone call that it was in. Then it took another month for them to make an appointment to install. The first time "someone" came out they told my Dad that is 70 years old to start pulling away the corners of the old liner. Three days later they scheduled to come install. We waited ALL DAY and nobody showed up. The following day we got a phone from the installer that he couldn't come today because his DOG HAD A VET APPOINTMENT and he didn't want to leave the dog alone... WHAT??? So we called the office and talked to a very lovely girl (NOT)... when they were coming next. We mentioned to her that we've been pumping out the water and my mother has been walking down in the deep end to clear out clogs in the pump. This girl FREAKED.. she started screaming and yelling on the phone that we needed to be patient. Um WHAT??? I have never called a place and actually been screamed at by the company. I ended up hanging up on her. Needless to say the phone call worked because the next day five people showed up to install the liner. This company completely SUCKS. We noticed we started losing water so we called AGAIN. They blammed us for the liner leaking. Nobody had been in the pool to have damaged the liner. Come to find out along the seems and around the pool light that they installed they left HOLES/TEARS. So we now have a brand new liner that is damaged but no blame on them. We have spent thousands of dollars with this company and to be treated like crap is not how you run a business. If you ever call here is your WARNING... the witch that answers the phone is so unpleasant. If you ask to talk to John she'll snap at you and say "You don't need to talk to him, I can answer what you need".. OKAY!!! Spend your money else where. read more

These people are extremely helpful and great to have nearby. I bought a used hot tub from a private seller and they still have me advice and great customer service. I will be getting all of my supplies and accessories here. Highly recommended!! read more
