Great Experience at the newly improved RV Canada 1000 Islands. The new management and team has…read morereally stepped up to update and improve the business. I'll be back for sure!

BYERS BEWARE!!! WERE WE EVER WRONG…read more We put an offer of $22,000 on a 2013 Visa Golf Stream at 1000 Islands RV listed for $23,995 and it was accepted. We noted possible signs of leakage and rot in the ceiling upon first inspection however, but were assured by our Sales Rep that this would be completely inspected by their Service Dept prior to taking possession and repaired if there was any leakage and/or rot. We returned after the repairs claimed to have been done and noted that the "rot" was not repaired. I questioned our Sales Rep and she claimed that the "Service Dept as well as the Manager" both looked at it and could not find any rot, claiming that the ceiling was "Rock Solid". So, I showed her where I could actually push my finger into the soft plywood in several locations. She then claimed that this was normal. For a second, I thought my partner had painted a bid "L" for Looser on my forehead while I was sleeping? I then showed the Sales Rep the rest of the ceiling which was actually "Rock Solid". She didn't know what to say, other than repeating that "the Service Dept and Manager stated there was no rot." As a result, we decided NOT to accept this unit because our Sales Rep, the Service Department as well as the Manager were all blatantly lying to our faces, hoping that we were stupid enough to believe them and simply accept this rotten trailer as is. The thing is, had they been "honest" with us from the beginning and pointed out the rot, we would have accepted the unit as-is, but what else were they now hiding from us and lying about? They could no longer be trusted. After walking away from the deal, our Sales Rep contacted us again stating that the Manager was now willing to take off another $3000 from our initial offer of $22,000. Now... You have to ask yourself: Why would they do that if, as they claim, there was no Rot in the ceiling? BUSTED!!! Needless to say, we declined their offer. The sad thing is, they have since relisted this unit at $23,995 again knowing full well there is rot in the ceiling, hoping to catch another unsuspecting fly in their web of deception. 1000 RV Staff and Management are as "Dirty as they come". I don't understand some of these dealerships. They don't seem to realize the concept of "Honesty". It's just beyond them. You screw one potential customer to make one sale, but loose 10 others in the process when they find out they've been swindled and tell all their friends. Or... You can be honest with that one customer and make 10 other potential customers in the process. It's just simple math and common sense. It blows me away that they can blatantly lie to your face even after you actually point-out proof of the defects. Unbelievable! Just Unbelievable! We also returned over $500 of extras, not because we didn't need them for our new trailer, but because they were all priced $5. To $20 more than other stores. That is the last time you will see us at 1000 Island RV. Happy Camping!

Loved this old Studebaker on display! It was in great condition. However, it has nothing to do with…read morewhat this company sells: Motor homes and trailers for camping... or "Glamping", depending on how fancy you go! It's amazing how far these trailers have come along: some of them have "pull outs" that enlarge the inside space, making them quite spacious once they are parked and fully open. We are toying with the idea of investing in something like this, but have not decided on any one model. Different needs and all that... I really want a kitchen and toilet inside the unit. On the other hand, the more that's built in can make the unit bigger and heavier, longer, and harder to tow and park. I'm not big on driving a bit unit but really impressed with the larger units. And of course, the price of the unit is proportionate to the size. You can literally spend a house on one of these!! I'm not too keen on that either. So, as I said, we are still toying. We were welcomed into this site by friendly and informative people. It was really not busy while we were here, but it's the end of the season, so no surprise there. The staff was patient with us as we looked around and asked questions. We are not sure what we need yet so didn't make a purchase today. It was really an information seeking visit today.

Unfortunately I only got the chance to experience Openroads RV by emails, phone and credit card…read more My friend and I made a deposit for a camper we saw on internet while we were still in France and planned to arrive in Canada a few weeks later. Unfortunately our plans have been cancelled for personal issues and we kindly asked for a refund of this deposit. Joe and Steph (the representatives we were in touch with) advised this was not their policies and refused. After several reminders and attempts to negotiate, Joe, the manager, finally accepted to refund the whole deposit amount if the camper was sold within the month. What we only had to accept. We noticed the camper ad has been put back on OpenRoads website more than a week after this deal, and deleted again a few days after. At this day (more than 2 months from this "deal"), Joe does not answer me anymore, his only last words to me was that his website has some issues (while a lot of other advertisings are posted/deleted on a daily basis) and that the camper has not been sold. Of course this is something I can't verify myself being in another country. In conclusion, I would recommend not to trust a company that earned $1500 by enjoying that his "customer" is not onsite.

I recently had some work done on my trailer that I bought here a few years ago and I know I am…read morerepeating myself here but the work done as before is second to none and the after sales service afforded to me is what is reserved for high end customer's at other RV sales centres not only in Ottawa but the whole country. I am just a normal guy who bought a trailer a few years back but I am treated like a King here at Primo. The after sales service is the best I have ever had in my life and I am 66 years old, so its a long life of experience. What prompted me to write this review now was part of an article I read this morning by: The Drivin' & Vibin' Team which I have pasted here: " Don't Count on Your RV Dealer, Once you sign on the dotted line, you're the one responsible for your RV. Most of the time, RV dealers are great at quickly selling RVs. However, many dealerships fall very short of meeting customer expectations when it comes to servicing RVs. Many owners find it hard to count on RV dealers when their RV breaks, and it's no longer the dealership's problem." I can tell you with 100% certainty, that Primo RV is the exact opposite, their after sales service is the best. It doesn't matter who you are or how much money you have everybody here is treated like they are a King!

My wife and I arrived a little earlier than expected, but the camper was already on our site, set up and ready to go! The camper was spacious, super clean and 100% prepared for the upcoming adventures! The potable water tank was full, the propane tanks were full and the battery was charged (all the important stuff for off-grid camping). They also offer generator rentals if you don't own one, which is critical to keep the battery charged and the systems functioning properly when hook-ups are not available. We had the pleasure of meeting the new proprietors on the afternoon of our arrival and they are so nice and accommodating, truly focused on making your vacation safe, comfortable and memorable! We already have a camper reserved for July '27. Not only do we have a reservation for next summer, but Justin and Jessica have REDUCED the nightly rental rate, making our vacation more affordable. How often do you see something like that in these days of spiraling costs?! From my persective...almost never. I saw the 1-star review left by an unhappy camper on another site, and while I sympathize, having had that happen to me in years past, that angst should be focused on the prior ownership. As the previous ownership had decided to transition out of the business (and I dealt with the previous ownership, who seemed to have 'checked-out' by the time he decided to sell the business), it seems the focus on administrative precision and comprehensive scheduling accuracy fell to the wayside. An incredibly unfortunate situation for sure, and I feel for the camper. Justin and Jessica inherited a situation that was less than optimal and I am certain they did the best they could with the information they had available. Overall, we had a fantastic experience with TPB RV rentals and the new ownership and we look forward to seeing them in about 9 months! Thank you, Justin and Jessica, see you next summer!
