Despite her daughter's devoted care, the facility suddenly restricted all visitors, including family. Her mother was isolated in her room with no explanation or compassion. She stopped eating, withdrew from the world, and fell into a deep depression. Before this, she was engaged and alert--but once cut off from human connection, she declined rapidly and passed away far sooner than expected. This facility took away her dignity and her will to live. No one should have to endure that. Run--don't walk--away from this place.

SHAMEFUL STONE LODGE…read more First the food and then, the bigger issue, security. Food is a major problem at Stone Lodge. Meals take forever to be served (a simple lunch can easily take 90 minutes or longer). Often the food is inedible -- pork chops that are so hard you cannot cut them with a knife). Edible food often arrives barely warm. Even hard boiled eggs are often overboiled with green yolks. There has been a succession of cooks -- I think the place just doesn't want to pay enough for good help. Now to security. In a new reckless, cost-cutting policiy, Stone Lodge will soon have NO ONE on premises supervising from 7PM to 7AM. A year ago Stone Lodge had TWO married couples living at the facility. About six months ago only one married couple. Now the owners of Stone Lodge have decided, in a heartless and callus move, to have NO ONE in charge living at the facility. Instead, Stone Lodge has given its residents pendants to wear -- if they fall or have a problem they are to press the button on the pendant. Stone Lodge thinks so much of this system they are in the process of REMOVING their emergency pull cords in all the rooms. Stone Lodge thinks so much of their new pendant system that they will leave the facility with no supervision for 12 out of every 24 hours. Please, vote with your wallet and DO NOT have your loved one stay at this facility. We will be moving our mother out of here soon. Stone Lodge cannot be trusted to safeguard its residents.

I lived there for 2 months and in that time I was treated so badly…read moreespecially by one caregiver named Matt sometimes he wouldn't even give me my meds,when I first got there he wasn't feeding me, the place was dirty the whole time I lived there. He yells at the resedents if he wants getting his way. I had to call the police on him one night because he refused to give me my meds. As soon as he heard me on the phone with the police he finally gave them to me. If any of us asked for seconds if we finnished our dinner we were told no. In the two months I lived there I spent about $400 on food just so I could eat when I was hungry he would bring his daughter to work with him and she would wake us up at 3 and 4 am he also brought his dogs one being a greatdane they were always dirty. I couldn't believe I paid to live here and was treated like I was worthless. I found. Paraphernalia twice I also came out of my room a few times in the middle of the night and it smelt like marijuana. I told the owner Sherry it didn't seem to bother her. She told me I don't care what they do now that it's legal. I told her I didn't want anybody getting high and taking care of me. That didn't change a thing Matts gf works there too she told another employ that sherry bought them new paraphernalia because they lost theirs. One of the residents fell and was k ocked out for a good five min they didn't send him to the ER till a few days later cause he was acting different and licensing was there. Please don't put any family member there it won't be good for them. At least don't put them there while Matt works there. I found out that licensing gave him 25 violations. That's not okay. If I can just save one person from the carelessness that goes on there then it was worth my experience. Please please please don't put anyone you love in that home. You can find a much better place for them.
