They have all kinds of services that we were able to tap into at no cost to us: chaplain, massage therapist, foot care and an aide to help with bathing, etc.

Their team is professional, communicative, and truly understands the complexities of aging and care coordination. I've referred multiple families to Right at Home with confidence, knowing they will be met with respect, empathy, and thoughtful care planning. Their caregivers are dependable and well-trained, and they genuinely connect with the individuals they serve. It's clear that Right at Home is committed not only to meeting physical care needs, but also to enhancing quality of life--and that makes all the difference. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to any family or healthcare professional seeking trustworthy in-home support.

I got home to Right at Home saying two caregivers quit then the next day another one said she didn't want to come here. They don't care about their clients as one caregiver told me they let another client die after she told them something was wrong with the client. A horrible place that is rude and lies!

The company, however, has terrible protocols and doesn't pay people enough and even though I knew and my paid caregiver knew he was dying in the last week I was left largely on my own unless I actually called for help. In other words, they weren't there when I needed them the most. Other problems: 1. Large turnover because they aren't paying their people enough in spite of the fact that they were charging the federal government over $5000 a month for 4-5 nursing visits each month. 2. No one ever gave me the book about "what to expect" during death. 3. CNAs and Nurses kept expecting me to know what to do next. One CNA made fun of me because I'd never put on a diaper. 4. On a desperate weekend when my spouse was pouring excrement from his poor old body I put in a desperate phone call and was TRANSFERRED TO A PORTLAND NUMBER -- there was nobody in the office here. Overall -- most of the individuals I worked with were caring in themselves, but the protocols they were following sucked and THEY LEFT ME ON MY OWN JUST WHEN I NEEDED THE MOST CARE. I cannot recommend the company.

I've worked hand in hand with this agency for over 11 years. They always rose to the challenge and ALWAYS took care of the patients as well as the providers. They especially went out of their way to recognize our Veterans. BUT - THINGS CHANGE - They were bought out by a huge national corporation last fall. The company is all about MONEY and NOT the Patients. They still have a few of the awesome folks working there, but since the buyout, a huge percentage of the employees and management left. To fill those management positions, corporate put folks in that quite frankly, are in over their heads. Never have I had to practically BEG for services and supplies for a Hospice Patient and actually end up paying out of my pocket to provide that patient with what they need, all while hearing from Heart n' Home corporate heads about the $$$$$. Then, to top it off, to be accused of being "needy" (wanted one additional day per week, for shower assistance) by the supervising RN? Not to mention the Executive Director was very condescending and arrogant to not only myself, but to the family of a patient? To witness the GOOD STAFF that brought supplies, get reamed out afterwards, by their Executive Director, for doing the right thing? Despite all this, I was still willing to work with them, no matter how CHEAP they were becoming. HOWEVER - the FINAL STRAW with me, was NO RECOGNITION OR RESPECT FOR A VIET NAM COMBAT VET........shameful and disgusting!!!!! It's obvious to me, this company is all about corporate earnings/profits and NOT about the patients or people working for them. Sad Day, Indeed...

Even at a Level 1 (get ready), they refused to come out due to a company policy. We spent more than three days without care, even as all businesses remained open, local kids had soccer practice, and the PGA had a golf tournament. It was not acceptable. During the days with no care, the lead nurse went days without calling to check on mom, or any of us. We felt very uncared for. On the phone, they assured us that the funeral home would come out. Disgusting. (By contrast Visiting Angels Caregivers (wonderful people) came out, as well as the housekeepers, even during a Level 2 (get set) fire level.) When we tried to contact a supervisor at St. Charles Hospice to find a solution, he didn't return our call until the next day, even knowing that his company had given our mom 24-48 hours to live, and that we had been provided zero care in days. When we finally got him on the phone, he still denied care, even under Level 1, and even suggested that we move her to a hospital over an hour's drive from our home in Prineville. Another unacceptable, unnecessary, and terrible solution. This is some of the worst care, and some of the least caring care, that I've ever heard of. Our family highly recommends that you look elsewhere for hospice care. When we contacted two other hospice providers, they shared that they had no problem serving our mother, even under Level 1 or Level 2 evacuation warnings. One responded and came out just hours after our call. We are so relieved to never work with St. Charles Hospice again.
