Their staff is also amazing - the sweetest, most patient and caring people. They seem genuinely fond of my dad which is such a relief and a blessing! The food is consistently very good as well which I think is unusual based on what I hear about other facilities. The activities director is great - she has live music events with dancing, happy hours with nice appetizers, games, movies, manicures, outings, etc. - so many fun and engaging activities. I know there is a stigma for people who place their loved ones in retirement homes. (I assure you…read moremy family and I make monthly visits to see her. We didn't just dump her in a home and leave like some families do). But some situations such as my grandma's advancing Alzheimer's made my family question whether or not hospice would be a good fit for her. I'm so glad we put her in Mt. Bachelor. They have done an excellent job taking care of her and making sure she gets all the medical treatment and assistance that she needs. This place works with you on payment plans and are very understanding about financial accommodations. My Grandma and my family love the med aides, guest speakers, and doctors that help make this place what it is. Understandably Alzheimer's is a frustrating and painful experience to live through and for your loved ones to watch, and yet the staff here is nothing but compassionate and understanding with her. These are difficult attributes to come by in retirement homes, but my family has the utmost faith and respect in the staff here at Mt. Bachelor and know our Grandma will spend her final days in the care of people who truly want to make a difference and help the elderly in any way they can. Not to mention what a beautiful place it is, not your typical run down retirement home, Mt. Bachelor is truly upscale and the women at the front desk are always so warm and inviting. My family and I are so happy we moved my Grandma out of the crappy hole in a wall CLAIRE BRIDGE and moved her into this classy beautiful facility instead.

My 98-year-old grandfather stayed at the Leisure Club for two weeks and we couldn't have been more…read morepleased with their facility. Their care goes beyond what assisted living provides. They do hands-on activities to promote stimulation, enhancing their fine motor skills, exercising their brains to remain sharp. My grandfather painted, played games, cards, and had so much fun and I was never once worried about his well being. Kirsten, one of the owners, sent us pictures and updates. She deeply cared for our grandfather and spent hours upon hours getting to know him, his hobbies, his likes and dislikes. I cannot recommend  the Leisure Club enough!! They will love your loved ones like they are family. There is no higher compliment I can give than that!
