Super clean laundry room! $2/wash and $1.50/ dry
Lea C.

Nice campground in Cleveland, GA area. We stayed here for the Labor Day holiday weekend and attended Yonah Mountain Vineyards Crush Fest (great fun). Bathhouse was super clean and the laundry area was best I've seen. Nice to be able to do laundry before we headed home. Pool was clean, concert venue right across street, small camp store if you forgot anything. Pads are not paved/level, and are quite tight when the park is full. Campfire ring was nice. Big grassy area with Cornhole, volleyball etc. pond for fishing and had a few ducks as well. This campground is about 20 mins from Helen and we were able to use Karen's Taxi Service to get to the wine event and Helen. Super family/pet friendly spot. Nice folks.

For us it was a life saver! We were headed from Helen ga. on to extremely curvy roads, fog, rain…read moreand areas of steepness. We felt like we were driving forever and just needed a spot for the night to start a drag drive. Yes, it was dark too. No fun for us flat land Floridians. The phone service was poor so we weren't able to get gps. We pulled off the side of the road with our RV to take a breather and gather our thoughts when we looked over to the right we saw this campground. We pulled in not sure if anyone would be around, and the office was closed. We saw a phone number and made the call. A kind lady answered and said she would be right over to help find us a spot. We couldn't have been happier to hear those words. In the morning we looked around. It's a quiet campground. Looks like some may keep their RV's here since they have cute little porches around. They do have a laundry facility, restrooms and showers for guests. A river runs down the side of it and is peaceful. There is a small playground. They have full hook up available as well. So glad they were here for us.

The property is on Turner Creek and is very peaceful and serene...that part is nice. However, the…read morewhite lady with black, longhair, the owner, I imagine had the most unfriendly attitude. Definitely NOT southern hospitality. It seemed like she was sucking lemons!! Oh yeah, they also are not dog friendly AT ALL!! I travel in the area frequently and would never ever go back!! Im only giving 2 stars because the property is nice otherwise I would give it zero.

The hike was nearly 10 miles round trip and quite challenging. The weather was perfect, though a bit humid from recent rains, and we were soaked with sweat. We felt like we finally found a team with determination and patience. One of our new team members, nicknamed AlphaGo, had previously hiked ABC and EBC in Nepal. He was an amazing hiker, full of knowledge, humility, and a righteous manner. We truly enjoyed his company, along with his wife's.

Water is available via a hand water pump across from site #8 and the toilets are vault toilets but were well kept and did not smell horrible. The stream is gorgeous stream and loud enough to drown out most road noise. There are some hazardous trees and one 6inch tree did fall while we were there this weekend during a thunderstorm. At the back of the campground is a ~2 mile trail that connects to the AT. Most sites have a tent pad that will accommodate a 10'x10' tent. Sites 2, 4, and 8 driveways can really only accommodate 1 car and there are no extra parking spots. Driveways for sites 1, 3, 5, 6, 7, 9, and 10 can accommodate 2 cars. Sites 1 and 3 are adjacent to the road and is going to be impacted by road noise. There is no campground host so be prepared to either scavenge wood or buy it in town, same goes for ice.
