SoulMind Studios - Finally added all the remaining shelves and some books, etc. Soulmind saved us a bunch of money by routing and staining shelves for us!

SUMMARY: Soulmind Studios always exceeds our expectations esp when it comes to customer service!…read moreTwo more projects done, check out the pics of our new custom planter and refurbished outdoor benches! BACKGROUND A friend of ours who we met on Yelp referred us to Soulmind a year ago and they've done some great work for us. Our latest projects: a custom sized planter and wood bench slats for some Berkeley Iron benches and side tables. PLANTER We have a space on our porch between two brick columns that desperately needed something in between to fill the void. Since we receive packages from time to time, what if we put a taller planter in that space that would not only beautify the space, but also hide any packages from porch pirates? Hence the planter idea was born. After taking measurements, we discussed the project with Erik and he gave us some ideas. I was thinking of something else but his design not only looks a lot bette than what I was thinking, but also it was easy to manufacture (thus saving us costs and assembly time). For this project unlike others, he drilled the pilot holes and even provided us the construction screws. How's that for service! We assembled the planter together using wood glue, screws, and lined it with a liner. Looks really nice on our porch! BERKELEY IRON BENCHES and SIDE TABLES The previous home owner didn't want to haul these benches as part of her move, so I saw the value in keeping them so we asked her to leave them for us. I disassembled one be happy and provided Erik and crew the dimensions. While it took some time to make as our order was back in their queue, the results were outstanding. We had some pieces that required a round over which we had to return to get done, but they got done without any fuss or extra charge. They used a marine grade wood and stained and sealed it to perfection. We're really happy. Each bench though takes a lot of work as we have to disassemble each bench, refurb and de-rust the hardware, clean, prime, and then paint each metal frame piece. Thus we only have one done so far. But check out the before and after pics. We are extremely happy with the results and we will save hundreds of dollars by taking the time to refurb these benches vs buying new ones. THANKS SOULMIND!

This review is long overdue, but this place is so amazing I could not forget about them. I was…read morelucky enough to get referred to them through a number of different people. I got to work with Eric who helped us make these beautiful wooden signs exactly the way we wanted. He perfected the color, design, and size. He was very easy to work with and was very flexible in when I could pick them up as I worked really long hours as the commute from SF is quite painfully long. When I went inside he kindly gave me a tour to show me and the hubs all the neat machinery and projects they were working on from basic signs, to nic nacks, to full on flower/moss boards. It was a neat experience and it definitely made me see the time and effort Eric and his team put into each and every project. I will definately come back again if I ever need any woodwork designs again.

I wanted his name, title, and badge number engraved on it. When I called, Stephanie answered and was very polite. She patched me through to Cliff, who explained the difference between laser etching and engraving and provided a very reasonable quote. Upon arriving at Etched Media, I met Cliff, who graciously allowed my daughter and me to watch him work. It was a fascinating experience. Cliff even laser-etched my daughter's initials on her digital camera as a Christmas gift, free of charge! The quality of the work was amazing, and Cliff's knowledge and patience were greatly appreciated. I highly recommend Etched Media, and special thanks to Stephanie and Cliff for their exceptional service! Neil

I wanted to make them special by getting them engraved with their names on each of the bracelets. I called Laser Mark's and I spoke to Jacob who let me know that the laser is flat and they may not be able to engrave a curved bracelet. However, he agreed to let me bring the bracelet cuffs into his shop so he could look at them to determine if it would be possible. He let me know that it may not work but he was willing to try engraving them. I told him that I was willing to risk it since the bracelets were inexpensive and I could purchase them again if it didn't turn out. I am so happy that I took the risk because the bracelets look so much better with the girls' names engraved on them and it makes the gifts more personal. Jacob took special care to put a black tape over the area on the bracelet that was to be engraved to test over the tape so I could see how the name would appear and give my approval before doing the actual engraving. It was a cool process and fun to participate in.
