Well, the part that I got was $80 that's kind of high price for what we had to get then when I got home apparently it wiped out our whole game. They didn't tell me that. We have store credit there but couldn't use it which I think is ridiculous. So if you buy anything from there just to let you know if you take it back, you have to get Store credit. They will not give you your money back.

Normally I am very mind your business but there was a Wednesday I had gone in to look at Pokemon and one of the players was using the N word repeatedly. I mentioned it to the owner and he said he would take care of it but I saw that same individual back again just the other day when I visited. I cannot support a business that allows racism to fly like that and let alone keeps entertaining racism for the sake of profit. i heard one of the other players say the racist's name was Rawl/Raul? Hopefully the store owner wises up and realizes that allowing that individual will eventually harm his brand.

The selection itself is huge. it's a two story bookstore. The individul sections or genres seem well stocked. Although the Horror section from what I saw was severely lacking most likely due to it perhaps being the biggest selling genre for them? The books themselves are in varying condition from Like New to Fair. I personally found some incredibly good looking books. Their prices are a big selling point for me, very fair and they run a 25% off mass market paperbacks. With all the positives, there's one negative I want to address and thats their trade in credit system. To be honest, It's pretty shady. They give you a great price on your trade-ins if they're good books, in good condition. Howevet, theres one big catch: You can't use that credit outright to simply pay for a book or two. They hold your credit hostage (for the books you gave them that they are going to resell and make a profit on) and you must either (A.) Spend the exact amount in cash that you have credit for in order to use that full line of credit, or you can (B.) spend under that amount and only be allowed to use half of your existing credit. You see, that way they have you on the hook. They got your books. They got your credit, and they're going to get your money too, by forcing you to pay just to gain access to your own credit. I was told by an employee "We have to do that or else we wouldn't make any money, we'd be just trading books for books." But thats not true at! They price them for a profit when they resell them. There are other ways to make the same amount of profit, perhaps more without the shady (and frankly unfair to the customer) business tactics. They could not have the 25% off mass market paperbacks discount. They could give a little less credit for trade-ins. They could raise their prices slightly. They could let their customers have full access to their credit without these special conditions that limit and punish the customer. They benefit at the customers expense in this way, and it is unethical, regardles if it is legal. The moral gray zone is real here. So, I learned my lesson and will not be doing trade-in business with them any longer. I might continue to shop there, but I'm paying cash, so long as the prices remain low. All in all, it's a good bookstore, but I dont like their business practices very much. For now, I still recommend, just don't do trade-ins.

What a difference new owners make!…read more It's been several years since I last visited Wonderland in my city and to be honest, I had given up hope on the shop. I happened to speak to someone today who mentioned that the shop was under new management and was undergoing remodeling and I had to go look for myself. My last experience at Wonderland reminded me of a miner exploring the depths of a cave looking for gold that turned out to be fools gold. I remember coming out dirty, after having lifted long boxes in cramped spaces. This time, I walked into an open spaced, neatly arranged area filled with rows of long boxes of back issues that many stores simply do not posses any more. I do a lot of traveling around the country and the first I do is visit the local comic shop. It is getting increasingly rare to find back issues going back to the 70's, 80's and 90s. Highly recommended
