An assortment of used books- from westerns, fiction, nonfiction, children's, etc. This is definitely a bookstore worth going to. Parking lot in the front, and excellent customer service.

My fiancé and I have always been avid readers, it only seemed fitting we'd take our engagement photos in a library or a book store. When I called the Book Barn to see if they would even humor my request there they were beyond ecstatic and asked us when we'd be stopping by to take our pictures. Thanks to the kindness and generosity of the Book Barn staff I have irreplaceable memories with my soon to be husband

Huge! My partner and I travel for work and stop at every used bookstore we can, very few are as massive or well organized as this one. The book selection here is spectacular. Prices are reasonable to excellent, I've never seen anything that wasn't a deal. Super friendly staff that go out of their way to help. They are constantly getting new books on the shelves and they have really cool events like the fossil guy and book signings. They even carry local authors!

Really good experience! Greeted by a couple of workers upon entering. Safe, clean and practiced! Used book store with tons of different books. All types or genres. Children books too! They also take books. Buy given they can get something in return. They have certain rules when it comes to that. In order to do that, it is by appointment only. They happily take donations too! I'm Good service and book store! Recommended!

Hubby and I were coming from the Sacramento area back to the Los Angeles area, and he decided to make this a treat for me and made Book Barn our temporary rest stop before we had to endure several more hours of driving. Good amount of parking! Located in the Old Town Clovis, he was able to park, drop me off, and then went to a nearby Costco to refill the tank. Walking in, I was pleasantly greeted by two of the employees, and they offered any assistance. As the building is two stories, the first story has children's, classics, fiction, and rare/antique books, while the second story holds biographies, crafts, cookbooks, and music/TV themed books. They definitely have more genres throughout the building, but that's what I remember off the top of my head. Each of the genres are alphabetically ordered, so it's pretty well organized. Also, if the book is signed, there's a chance that there's a small sticker on the spine of the book to denote that it's signed. Very clean throughout, and they thankfully had an available bathroom! They mostly have used books, but there's some books that look pristine enough to be new. I was very intrigued in their rare books section, where I was supervised for a little bit of time while I was in there; it's a cordoned off section. Definitely some good books in there. I ended up spending a couple benjamins, but definitely some good finds here. Would come back if I'm nearby. COVID note: I did come by during the pandemic. They were enforcing masks. Please note that the mandate is coming from the state, NOT from the bookstore, so be nice.

Oh the hilarious reasons for banning books....maybe we should stop thinking too! - A printed list titled 'Ten Reasons to Ban a Book' is placed on a table at Franklin Library, with a yellow sign reading 'Franklin Library' below it.

So amazing to have this bookstore nearby in Old Town Clovis. Two stories. Easy parking. Extremely knowledgeable staff. Comfy sofas and chairs. Good music. What more could you want?

A wooden book display shelf features new arrivals, including fiction, poetry, and non-fiction titles, with a "Just Arrived" sign above.

This two-story used book store is huge with a variety of genre to select from. There's so many books to look at my husband got lost in their sci-fi collection, which was several sections long.

first thing you see when entering.

great selection of recycled books at fair prices for the most part! they have an amazing collection of poetry books & biographies; rare HTF first editions in excellent condition; collector set children books like dr. seuss. their literature classics is a bit sparse, so that was really the only thing that was disappointing. it's two stories so plenty of places we've not explored yet as we ran out of time. we will be back to check out the other sections we missed.

It's very small (about 500 sqft, 2 rooms of books) with a jazzercise studio in the back. They have nice antique settees in both rooms. $2 for paperback and $4 for hardcover. The guy in the front was very kind. Since they have a jazzercise studio in the back, I think they should do speakeasy events there for book lovers since they have a nice enclosed parking- Bridgeton High Tea..., twilight dinners...A You marathon... Hunger Games costume party.... crafting with books.. I've never read Twilight, but since I was just in Oregon, I have to read or watch the twilight series now, but they did not have the book. They take donations so if anyone wants to donate twilight, lemme know! I had exactly $6 cash so I got myself a C.I.A. cookbook (Culinary Institute of America) because I collect cookbooks. Anthony Bourdain, Roy Choi (I ate at his restaurant, Best Friend in Las Vegas) & Grant Achatz (I dream of one day eating at his Michelin Starred restaurant, Alinea in Chicago) graduated from C.I.A. I also got a brand new paperback from Target- Love, Naturally. I am a little behind on my reading because life has taken me on a hell of a ride this year.

I have been to Barnes & Noble's before previous cities, but not here in Fresno County. I decided to make a pitstop here because my family wanted some calendars for the house and what they had in other stores is very limited selection and my family was very specific on what they wanted. As soon as I enter, the store is books everywhere everything was clean product place in and the sales clerk helped me right away which I appreciated. I was just browsing in the calendar section which they have a lot of and luckily I found somebody put it in the wrong spot. I found the last K-pop demon on it calendar for 2026. That was on my families list of things they wanted. There was other calendars as well Harry Potter, Star Wars comics Snoopy you name it they had it. You should definitely check out Barnes & Noble's and River Park. If you have not already, I will be returning because I need more books in calendars. The price was right.
