It's very small (about 500 sqft, 2 rooms of books) with a jazzercise studio in the back. They have nice antique settees in both rooms. $2 for paperback and $4 for hardcover. The guy in the front was very kind. Since they have a jazzercise studio in the back, I think they should do speakeasy events there for book lovers since they have a nice enclosed parking- Bridgeton High Tea..., twilight dinners...A You marathon... Hunger Games costume party.... crafting with books.. I've never read Twilight, but since I was just in Oregon, I have to read or watch the twilight series now, but they did not have the book. They take donations so if anyone wants to donate twilight, lemme know! I had exactly $6 cash so I got myself a C.I.A. cookbook (Culinary Institute of America) because I collect cookbooks. Anthony Bourdain, Roy Choi (I ate at his restaurant, Best Friend in Las Vegas) & Grant Achatz (I dream of one day eating at his Michelin Starred restaurant, Alinea in Chicago) graduated from C.I.A. I also got a brand new paperback from Target- Love, Naturally. I am a little behind on my reading because life has taken me on a hell of a ride this year.

It's unbelievable how much she fits in the space. She hosts book events, usually with a food truck or two and other vendors. I could go on and on about the gift type things they carry. I was welcomed when I walked in and asked if I needed assistance, which was nice -- although that friendly greeting hasn't always happened on past visits. I was looking for Louis L'Amour books as a gift for my husband, and they pointed me in the right direction. I also browsed through the kids' section for a bit, though I didn't end up finding anything this time. Overall, it's a 2 story shop with lots to explore. I love Friends of the Library! It's one of my favorite places to browse for used books…read more For a small space, it has a great selection of used books, often including the latest books or popular books. They're usually in good quality and for the lowest prices I've ever seen. They also have a good amount of children's books. I remember being able to fill my own classroom library with children's picture books and novels that would cost anywhere from $0.25 to $1.00. I was like omg, these are so cheap! It really gave me the impression that they just want to put books in your hands. Just of how little they charged. Sometimes, they'll have events where you could fill a big bag for just a few bucks. It's very considerate of teachers and avid readers. I believed in them so much, we finally took down our book shelf and donated all of our books, including hardcovers, to them because I knew they would be able to get it into the hands of our community. I think the funds they make keep their bookstore going and help with local events. So bottom line, if you enjoy browsing through used book shops like me, this is a must stop. :)

I have been to Barnes & Noble's before previous cities, but not here in Fresno County. I decided to make a pitstop here because my family wanted some calendars for the house and what they had in other stores is very limited selection and my family was very specific on what they wanted. As soon as I enter, the store is books everywhere everything was clean product place in and the sales clerk helped me right away which I appreciated. I was just browsing in the calendar section which they have a lot of and luckily I found somebody put it in the wrong spot. I found the last K-pop demon on it calendar for 2026. That was on my families list of things they wanted. There was other calendars as well Harry Potter, Star Wars comics Snoopy you name it they had it. You should definitely check out Barnes & Noble's and River Park. If you have not already, I will be returning because I need more books in calendars. The price was right.
