About 5 years ago I moved to buying online but now that the comics themselves have scaled up there cost and these 5 cover issue nonsense is so common it's no longer a value to purchase online. I'll tell you that the two gentleman I spoke to on my two visits were incredibly kind and were able to answer my questions. I collect TMNT comics first so it's nice to actually see those comics in the store. I am getting back into XMen which is good so far and Absolute Batman is wild. I'm in my 40s and have been collecting comics since I was a kid. This is a modern comic shop done right. So I'll stop in twice a month.

When selling ETBs, to get a vibe how they would treat me as i just moved too town and its my closest local shop. I was initially offered around 60% 65% of market value on 151 ect. ect. which was disappointing. During another transaction, I asked about a dollar card and took time to do my own research. The employee assisting me rolled his eyes and made the interaction feel uncomfortable and dismissive. Even commenting "oh your price matching now." I countered with "no im not that was just my research" was saying i gave in for no drama handed over 3$. He then doubles down with change for the card i don't know he felt shame or just system said differently which im sure it did. Customers should never feel disrespected for asking questions or verifying values. As an adult now, I chose not to make a scene, but if that same attitude had been directed toward a child, a young collector, or a female customer, I absolutely would have spoken up even acted accordingly. This is a Pokémon and sports card shop--a place that should encourage collectors of all ages and experience levels. A little patience, kindness, and respect go a long way. The products and prices are good, but the customer service and overall attitude need improvement.

Normally I am very mind your business but there was a Wednesday I had gone in to look at Pokemon and one of the players was using the N word repeatedly. I mentioned it to the owner and he said he would take care of it but I saw that same individual back again just the other day when I visited. I cannot support a business that allows racism to fly like that and let alone keeps entertaining racism for the sake of profit. i heard one of the other players say the racist's name was Rawl/Raul? Hopefully the store owner wises up and realizes that allowing that individual will eventually harm his brand.
