Prices are a little higher than average, but the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. I just got into Magic, so they told me what I needed, but also told me what would be a waste of money. The dude and I stumbled upon Clovis Cards and Comix on 6/24/23 as we noticed a new shop in our immediate area. So now we have two game rooms in one plaza. The staff member or owner informed us that they have been there since April 2023. Upon entering we were greeted and informed about the place. We loved the decor which has picture of various things from Starwars to Cookie Monster. I didn't know this was a niche of just "CARDS". It was spacious inside. Free to play your own cards and bring card games you want to learn. They said just inform them off the card game you want to learn and they will make it happen! So cool. They have weekly events going on like tournaments that has an entry fee and prize . I did ask the owner a lot of questions as you can search cards and purchase cards there! Pretty impressive. The dude thinks my niece would love this place and wants to bring her. IT's competition with beer with Meeples! Overall, glad we stopped in. I'm Not going to lie watch out for this store if your looking to sell your TCG collection. I had a horrible experience with this store. I understand the overhead expenses and having to buy cards at a lower margin to make up for those costs but these guys literally dont know what they are doing. an employee started counting the value of my cards using a site called TCG player but he was never writing these number's down so I could review his offer or even see if he was even adding them up right. Now of course I could have been more prepared by knowing a rough estimate of my collection was worth. But the numbers he was explaining did not make sense and I could tell just by looking at what was in front of me. Not only did it not make sense he had started adding cards to piles that have not been counted yet. yes it could have been a mistake but if he would have known how to properly break it down for the costumer these issues wouldn't even happen. To put this into perspective he offered me around 400. I refused and went to another shop and walked out with 1500. This is a huge problem in the community with scalpers and even people getting ripped off because they are new to the hobby. I write this post to tell you be careful with these card shops and do research before you walk in. If I didn't know about my collection this store was easily trying to rip me off. read more

I was greeted warmly when I came into the shop. Many tables had people playing card games at them. The shop was very clean and organized, and the decorating was nice. I point that out, because it sets this shop apart from many others who don't put much effort into those areas. I collect Pokemon cards, and they had some good singles as well as sealed product, and they also pointed me to their website where they list even more cards that they have available. The owner, or maybe a manager, had just purchased somebody's collection and showed me some really nice cards I wish I could afford. Unfortunately I live too far to say I'll be back very soon, but I'm glad to know there's such a nice and friendly shop here for the next time I'm in the area. read more

Pretty solid place to got for trading card games as they have a good selection of products that most collectors will be into. Good spaces for gaming with friends and others if that is your jam too. People working behind the counter seem very knowledgeable about a lot of things, especially Tanner who helped out my friend a bunch. I've been playing Magic in or around Fresno for a couple decades now, seen quite a few shops and go, with only a few shops sticking around. COVID was especially hard on the TCG community here and most playgroups weren't able to play in person for quite some time. Seeing a new shop opening up is super exciting for us! I feel like this store has the staff and location to do really well, with singles and sealed product growing every day. You can view their inventory on their convenient website or even in store on their public computers. That allows you to buy cards online and swing by and pick up in store, or use the computers in store and they can fulfill your order while you wait. They're really gearing up to run events that players want, in multiple popular card games, in a clean and decent sized environment. Our playgroup has been meeting up here for a couple months now and we're excited to see the business grow and thrive. read more

I'd like to say the staff is a good group of people. They are players first and business 2nd. Prices of product may not be the cheapest in town but what I like is that they have the product and if not they will get it for you in no time. All in all this is a solid store running a ton of events and always posting on what's going on and what's new in the store. I for one enjoy having them as an option in town. read more

Spacious and clean local card game store you can come in and hang out for a good time or chat with the friendly guy with glasses behind the counter! They always have the rare high end products you would want to buy with a cool selection of magic the gathering/pokemon singles, card folders, deck boxes, and sleeves. My girlfriend went in today to try and purchase a gift card but unfortunately they didn't have any, but that didn't stop them from trying to help my gf. They asked how much she was gonna get for the gift card, she said around $50 and then Jake and tanner put together a gift bag filled with magic the gathering packs and sleeves and dice and a single that I was talking to tanner about literally a few hours before my gf went in! They didn't need to do that, they could've just left it at "sorry we don't have any" but they went above and beyond! That's the type of customer service you will receive when you visit them. Just some down to earth people that love trading cards and try to provide the best experience when you shop with them!
