About 5 years ago I moved to buying online but now that the comics themselves have scaled up there cost and these 5 cover issue nonsense is so common it's no longer a value to purchase online. I'll tell you that the two gentleman I spoke to on my two visits were incredibly kind and were able to answer my questions. I collect TMNT comics first so it's nice to actually see those comics in the store. I am getting back into XMen which is good so far and Absolute Batman is wild. I'm in my 40s and have been collecting comics since I was a kid. This is a modern comic shop done right. So I'll stop in twice a month.

We have store credit there but couldn't use it which I think is ridiculous. So if you buy anything from there just to let you know if you take it back, you have to get Store credit. They will not give you your money back.

The moment I walked in I was greeted by one of the staff, (tall guy maybe in his 20's, unfortunately didn't catch his name) who was friendly and immediately helped me find what I was looking for. He pitched me some new releases and what was in stock, which I don't mind cause I know it's part of his job and plus he was polite and was not pushy. He did take notice of which comics I was buying at checkout and suggested issues based off specific comic characters which I did really like since I'm new to comics and I appreciate the help. Unfortunately they don't give out receipts for cash transactions. I like receipts so I can keep track of how much I'm spending on comics. It's not a problem, I'll make sure to use credit next time. It is clearly not a space that values a respectful or inclusive environment for the next generation of readers. The "Buying" Run-Around: Don't be fooled by their claims that they buy collections. I was given a constant run-around regarding whether the "boss" was in or not. If a shop isn't interested in buying, they should just say so rather than wasting customers' time with vague excuses and poor communication.
