Really cool comic shop! I had some trouble finding it, but when I saw the Marvel/DC icons on their windows it helped me locate their spot. The moment I walked in I was greeted by one of the staff, (tall guy maybe in his 20's, unfortunately didn't catch his name) who was friendly and immediately helped me find what I was looking for. He pitched me some new releases and what was in stock, which I don't mind cause I know it's part of his job and plus he was polite and was not pushy. He did take notice of which comics I was buying at checkout and suggested issues based off specific comic characters which I did really like since I'm new to comics and I appreciate the help. Unfortunately they don't give out receipts for cash transactions. I like receipts so I can keep track of how much I'm spending on comics. It's not a problem, I'll make sure to use credit next time. Avoid This Shop - Unprofessional and Unwelcoming March, 5 2026 at around 130 I had a deeply disappointing experience at this shop and would advise others especially families to take their business elsewhere. Hostile Environment: The atmosphere is dismissive at best. More concerningly, an older staff member was openly using profanity toward my husband who had our child with him. It is clearly not a space that values a respectful or inclusive environment for the next generation of readers. The "Buying" Run-Around: Don't be fooled by their claims that they buy collections. I was given a constant run-around regarding whether the "boss" was in or not. If a shop isn't interested in buying, they should just say so rather than wasting customers' time with vague excuses and poor communication. Bottom Line: There are plenty of great comic shops that actually value their customers and maintain a professional standard. This isn't one of them. Save your time and your money. I was excited to visit this comic shop because they have a really impressive selection of older comics. Unfortunately, the experience was ruined by one of the workers, Justin. From the moment I walked in, he was rude and dismissive. I asked for help finding something, and he acted like I was bothering him. Justin's attitude was so off-putting that it made me not even want to buy anything. Remember you work at a comic shop. It's supposed to be a welcoming place for people who love comics--not a space where customers feel unwelcome. On top of that, there seems to be an issue with how they handle new releases. Half the time, the new comics that come out are already sold out before the store even opens. It's incredibly frustrating when you make the effort to visit a shop, only to find out you never even had a chance to get what you wanted. As a big time comic collector of marvel, dc, and now more image and Indie, this has to be one of my favorite places of all time. It's not even what they have that makes it a place that makes me wanna come back every week, it's really the people. Huge huge HUGE shout out to Justin (the owner), Dominic, and Eli. I have never had a bad conversation with any of these guys and always leave the store wishing I could stay longer when I'm not busy because they are amazing. Comics aren't just a business to these guys, it's a lifestyle and a passion for all of them and I cannot recommend this place enough. They always have amazing deals on their back issues, hardcovers, action figures, and a newer addition to my growing collection, the short boxes with awesome designs of some of the bigger mainstream marvel comics coming out. I've been to a few comic shops in my life. While this one may not have the epic size and scope of Captain Nemo's in SLO or that really cool one with shit bursting from the walls at City Walk in Universal City, I've never quite got the same feeling from one as I did here. Maybe because I came with a regular, but I definitely got a "neighborhood bar" type of vibe from this place and it definitely makes you want to come back. It's mostly comics here, but there's also a fair amount of sports cards and memorabilia, as well as action figures, collectibles and that sort of stuff. Nobody will try and make you feel dumb for not knowing stuff, or try and overwhelm you with a bunch of information nobody cares to know. The owner Justin was super knowledgeable about damn near everything, it seems. We talked sports, movies, tv shows... Guy knows his stuff well and as a fellow SF Giants and Sopranos fan, I know he has exquisite taste! Like Lee said in his review (he was the regular I came with, by the way) there are multiple conversations going on throughout the shop at any given time, with employees and customers alike chiming in and out to answer questions or give their opinion. I didn't know the experience could be replicated in any other setting other than being a regular at your favorite bar, but that's exactly what coming into this place felt like. Definitely come on a Wednesday- as that's "new comic day" everywhere and likely the busiest day of the week. Again, you won't be totally floored with presentation when you walk into this place as you will with some of the larger city comic stores, but this place is definitely run by good people that know their shit. read more

Don't advertise free comic book day if you're going to run out and not have them. I showed up at 1:30 pm and you had the nerve to tell me you wouldn't give me the free comic. Not to mention you ran out of grab bags practically and only had four raffle items left. You're open till 5:00 pm so that makes no sense and is false advertisement. They have a decent selection of comics but look to be on the expensive side for most things with some values possibly lurking here and there. Cards that I saw seemed especially overpriced and underwhelming in quality and selection. I went early for the free comic book day and it was ran relatively smoothly at the time I was there and the employees seemed mostly in good spirits at that time. I will absolutely return for a more normal day to day visit and I hope to see a similar mostly welcoming experience. read more

Stood by the counter for about 10 mins before anyone acknowledged I was there. They weren't very busy and there was at least one person behind the counter doing nothing-- when I asked for help he wasn't overly friendly and offered no help other than telling me they were out of the item I wanted. read more
