When I first read the name Legends I assumed, being from California, it was a Vietnamese sandwich shop from CA. I am ashamed and embarrassed to have been so ignorant. This place has the most unique coffees I have yet to taste in my close to three years of living in Southlands Aurora. I had a seasonal coffee, which I inhaled and forgot to take a pic of, with mint cold brew and it tasted like I was drinking a mild coffee version of a peppermint patty. I hate peppermint patty but this reminded me slightly of the mint mojito coffees from Philz. My husband had a large drip and even their drip was impressive. I prefer drip coffee and they were out so I opted for a Mocha. It did have a good flavor but I do like more of a chocolate taste on my tongue. I noticed the menu on the wall and a printed menu on the counter. I was looking for coffee prices and couldn't find one anywhere. I asked the hostess and she said "what are looking for" and then she gave me a price. I prefer to look at all my options to determine how much I may spend. I have tried all their breakfast items and always go with their breakfast house sandwich is my go to for the morning too. When I go to other coffee places this is my standard and most do not compare. Man, I'm really torn about this review. In some ways, I really really love Legends. Their mission, their coffee and the overall vibe of the place. BUT there are also elements that are weak. Great: All of their drinks are spot on. They really know what they're doing when it comes to their drinks. They use high quality beans and the consistency is spot on. I love the people that work there. They are super nice and knowledgeable about coffee. The place is also super cool especially the barn wood wall. There are plenty of outlets and they make good use of their space. Not so good: It has gotten pretty crowded here and it can be difficult to find a place to sit from time to time. Also it is pretty loud here. So I work from home and besides the noise, the biggest deal breaker is the Wifi. It is really choppy and inconsistent. I really really want to work here but it has become so unreliable, I simply can't go back to do any work or take any calls. If you are looking for a place to just chill and have great coffee, I would totally recommend this place. If you really need a co working space that is able to handle all of your tech needs, I would try somewhere else. read more

The drinks, they're unique, and I would recommend straight away from. What's familiar to you to try one of their specials. You will not be disappointed. The wait can be long but that's OK. I've lived and worked in Italy and Spain and all over the U.S. This is the best espresso I've ever had in the U.S.! Like in Italy and Spain, the expresso was not bitter at all and had a hint of sweetness (from the coffee, no sugar added, heaven forbid!). The service also was very good. If anyone knows the story to Ledgends Coffee it's that they started off in a booth at your local farmers market and eventually they were popular enough to opened their first location here in southlands. If that is not a humbling story than I don't know what is. I'm giving it 4 stars, I am a long time customer... I use to come here a lot when I worked retail and Ledgends was my saving grace. Every now and then I stop by and everytime I'm always super excited this is my favorite coffee shop in Colorado. I have never had a bad encounter with bartistas they are always so kind. The owners are also very humbling, but unfortunately maybe because it was early and the weather is under it got the best to this specific bartistas... I could tell she was already irritated by how unwelcoming she was. I had a Chai Latte the first time it came out it was not very pretty a little sloppy, but no worries it's early... However the Chai was not to my liking all I tasted was watered down milk and sugar. So I did ask here to remake it and she was very upset that I asked her to do so. That is where I was upset. I have never asked for a remake ever at this place because I am always satisfied, but the first time I did the bartista was rude and frustrated. I come here sometimes to get delicious coffee. I was just there this morning and the cashier person, some tall Hawaiian guy with curly long hair and a beani e gave me the biggest death glare, as if it seemed like he didn't want me to be there, for whatever reason it is was. I'm usually in and out but not unlike instances like this, I'm always met with some sort of discomfort and unease everytime I'm at that coffee shop. Cute coffee location. There is a few groups meeting and chatting and the noise level is very reasonable. I ordered a medium americano because drip coffee was not available. I like heavy cream in my coffee and although it was available today, the barista said it is not a staple, I got lucky! I'm not a huge fan of the flavor, it's a little to fruity for me but I also like either really strong coffee or vanilla flavored coffee... I might not be the best to say how the favor is. Arguably, one of my favorite coffee spots in Denver area. The vibes are right, the food options are on point, and the seasonal flavors?! *chef's kiss. Recently, I came back here due to a visit in Southlands and I knew I had to stop by. I got their seasonal Honey Lavender Latte and it is a delicious as it sounds. I also ordered an almond croissant and it was money. Simply by the weight of the pastry, you can tell it's a good one. This place offers milk substitutes and an option to heat up your pastries.
