This place is so cute and peaceful! It's inside of a furniture store, which is kind of weird if you're not familiar with the café. We are from out of town and needed coffee. When we got to the address, but it was a bit confusing because the hours said they were open but the store was closed. We had to call to figure out how to get inside LOL so tip: when the furniture store is closed, you have to enter the café from the rear of the building. Specialty drinks are pretty pricey but they had a really amazing variety of options on the menu. My husband and I both got just a regular coffee, and it was excellent! read more

Came for breakfast recently. Parking lot is in the rear, and due to construction you have to walk around to the front of the building. Not a big deal- just a heads up. Got a couple of coffees that were both delicious! Baked oatmeal with fresh fruit was excellent. Full order of biscuits and gravy was a huge portion. Really great value! Tiny cozy place. Seating is good. You can sit at the counter and watch the workers if you wish. I ordered a flavored coffee latte and it was good. The drink was not too sweet which scored points. And the food was amaaazing. Avocado toast. The bread was warm. Tomatoes, avocados, cucumbers, and cheese. Delicious. And it's situated right behind a home decor store so if you wish to stroll, stroll around in there. They've got amazing furniture. Anyway. Absolutely great atmosphere and coffee! Very cozy inside without feeling squeezed in there. Also the down town Middlebury location is the perfect spot for a coffee shop! They have very good coffee and food, they also offer lemon water for the taking which is a huge plus if you are gonna be there for awhile. There is more seating than you would expect and the wifi is as good as it gets! Employees are very friendly and they make it feel like a giant family enjoying coffee together. read more

A local told me about this location and it's now a favorite stop whenever I'm passing through Middlebury on business. Great for a latte or plain coffees. They have a nice variety and let you fill your own cup. Their food items have been delightful! Muffins are amazing and yesterday had their award winning chili for the first time. Fantastic, fresh and perfect flavor. If you can't find this place ask a local as I never even noticed it on all my previous trips. It's worth the time and if I lived in Middlebury I'd be there 3-4 times a week. read more

I stop in here sometimes on my way to work. I love trying the seasonal specials. This morning I had a Snowflake Latte and it was fantastic! I did wait for about 10 min before someone took my order but I know they were busy. I highly recommend! read more

A nice place with good sandwiches and wraps. But,I was disappointed to see some kitchen staff with out masks over their faces during food preparation (masks around their necks or masks not covering their noses). It made wonder about my safety. Management could easily fix this. I don't want to see a few unconcerned employees hurt a good business or their customers. My family ate here for lunch one day during our weekend stay at the Essen Haus. This place is awesome. The service is great and the employee who took our orders was very kind. I ordered my sandwich (turkey pesto) on a cheddar garlic bread (or something similar) and it was absolutely delicious. All of us who ordered that bread raved about it for the rest of the weekend, and everyone really enjoyed their meals. I will definitely return if I am in the area! read more

This place is kind of hidden . But it is amazing. My wife had soufflé and I had the breakfast panini with ham on the pretzel bun. We were amazed how good it was. We stopped on a cross country road trip. This coffee, sandwich, bakery place is well worth driving 5 miles from the highway! Best chicken pesto sandwich ever. Try the garlic cheese bread. Delicious. The area has a lot of Amish and Mennonite people. All the baked goods are made from scratch on premise sis. It's healthy, honest, delicious food.
