I forgot to take pictures cause I was chomping it down. Let's start off with the Apple Butter on the dinner rolls, delicious. The butter was creamy and very flavorful. The rolls were fluffy and yet still thick. Had the Grilled Ham with Mashed Potatoes and Veggie Beef Soup. The soup hit the spot to start my meal off. When that thick cut of ham was placed in front of me, my mouth was watering already. The first bite was juicy and crispy. Grilled just right. Add in a creamy with chunks mashed potatoes. And a great gravy.. I could not have been happier, I am still longing for more! The atmosphere was homestyle for sure. Cozy, felt like I was out in the country at grandmas. Will def be back when I'm in the area again.

The chicken and noodles were fine, but we thought the turkey had more flavor. We've debated both times if we should get the buffet, but on neither visit did it have roast beef nor pie. Pie is the main reason for us dining here and our appetites just don't warrant more than one plate of food (especially all those heavy starches) AND pie, so it isn't worth the extra cost for us. Although again, if the buffet included pie, we'd get it. Also...we were told a 10-15 minute wait but waited more than 30. The hostess claimed they called us on the speaker but we were no more than 20 feet from the hostess stand the ENTIRE time. None of the three of us heard our name. They took my phone number when we arrived but I got no call nor text. People entered and were seated before us. So I went up and asked. She claimed to have called us and rolled her eyes at me.

Since I didn't have anyone to share with and wanted to try a few things, I decided on the donut holes. Plus a coffee. Pricing is very fair -- which is hard to find these days. I've never been or heard of this place before, but I'm a sucker for apple cider treats. So I drove up, parked, and walked inside. Its very antique looking on the inside, like the establishment is in its original state since opening years ago. In any case, customer service was very nice. I ordered myself two donuts, one powdered apple cider and one regular apple cider. They were okay. I could taste the hint of cider in the donuts, but it was too sugary for me. I ended up saving the rest for the kiddos.
