Nathan and his crew helped me when I was stranded on the side of the road, Brad a service tech there pulled up beside me and offered me a hand to their shop, as i was stranded on the side of County 7 . From there the family took care of me while I was also not familiar with the area, it was Friday evening before Labor day weekend and they took my Truck , which just decided to stop driving and assure me they would take good care of it for me over labor day weekend. They communicated with me throughout the entire ordeal, checked over everything, took care of the issue they caught & had it ready by that Tuesday. I said again I'm not from that area, but just from telling some friends from my area this story (Rush NY) they have decided to take their vehicles there for maintenance. Not too many shops left around like T & J service and repair. Thank you.

The family-owned business has consistently provided excellent customer service and fair prices. T&J is known for their dedication, ethics, trustworthiness, and honesty. They have helped me avoid purchasing vehicle/s that could have lead to a lot of future costly repairs but was interested in due to hype and provided advice on the longevity of other cars and resale values. The mechanics are honest, trustworthy, and complete their work on time and within the quoted price. Overall, T&J is a family-owned and run business that provides excellent and honest service along with fair prices for all their customers. I know when I question if something is going on with my car or go in for regular maintenance I am in good hands that I can trust and that won't take advantage of me. So today I called Vogels around 10:26 to get an estimate done for insurance on my 2010 Chevy…read moreImpala. I was instantly turned down and said "no we can't do that". I was surprised because I have brought them previously a car and sent them a lot of work over the years. So let me tell you about the LONG HAUL on your vehicle if you bring it here to Vogels. I would know about long term on a vehicle from them because they did a Job for me in 2015 on my 97 Camaro. This place is decent place to bring your vehicle if you need something fix short term but long term not worth it to ME. To others they are worth it but they don't restore cars really just fix them. I brought these guys my 97 Camaro back in 2015. Let me tell you what it WASN'T worth the price they charged me 6500-7k and or it felt like I was getting harassed by the owner about paying them. Normally you pay for a job when it's finished but he was eager to collect some before starting it and during before he finished the Camaro. I had to pay before they finished which felt like I was being scammed but I was in a tight pinch and had to get it done. After finally paying them in full they finished it up and said we will detail it up nice for you but the rushed they detail guy and I had wax all over the Camaro. Even the detail guy complained about being rushed. I even mentioned the green paint I could still see but they didn't fix it or nothing. I was super bummed about this but I was still happy to get my 97 Camaro back on the road and drive it. Mind you this 97 Camaro sat after it got "restored"from Vogels. Nothing wrong with it but all the imperfections they left, all the chipped and cracked paint I found and the green paint from the donor parts they used to fix it that you could still see in areas. The Camaro wasn't very professional done at all and the service I got from them especially from the owner himself was good and all till the demanded payment. Then it felt like a scam and it felt like I was being harassed. Now 10 years later I have to repay someone to fix all those paint chips, all the cracked panels and a lot more. So in my opinion it's not worth it because 10 years later and 6500 bucks wasted to repay another person. About the same or more to make it look brand new even better then show room quality they said just like Vogel's promised me but Vogels couldn't handle it. Edit : So after I posted this because I got a phone call at 11:17 from there Shop manager or whatever he is there. His name was Eric. He called me asked me why I would leave a negative review because they refused to take a quote from me earlier today? Then proceeded to say I called them because I had an insurance quote done and I wanted them to add more on? WTF? How is that possible when my accident just happen at 9:33 am. So how did I have time to get a quote and call you to ask you to change that quote? So now I'm more annoyed because they tried to call me out on something I didn't even say. All I said was "can I get an estimate done today for an insurance quote". He then proceeded to tell me IDK why you're posting your Camaro now. It's been 10 years and we didn't harass you. He said "we have to get some up front or all especially when it's not an insurance quote because we gotta pay outta packet for materials"? Really? You have to pay for materials? Wow that's crazy. What about regular mechanics or other shops? They don't ask up front for any money. However I was fine putting a down payment down back then. It was the owner calling me demanding money from me time and time again multiple times and said he couldn't fix it till I did. That sounds like harassment to me. Their excuse was "well sometimes people have us fix it but then not come back at all after we finish". I said "not my fault don't judge a book by its cover. You guys are judging people and will only work on cars with insurance claims unless they are GUARANTEED the money before they finish the vehicle". 1

I had a brake issue…read morewhere one of my brake calipers was seizing up on my boat trailer which they found to be an issue with the surge brake actuator. After the actuator was replaced I picked up the trailer and was still having brake issues. The next step they took was replacing both calipers which also didn't fix the issue. In the end, the brand new surge brake actuator they installed ended up being bad and they had to install another one. I ended up bringing the trailer there three separate times. In the end they went above and beyond to take care of me, realizing that it took a lot of effort on my end to keep bringing the trailer there. Even though the new actuator being bad wasn't necessarily their fault, they stepped up to prove their commitment to me as a customer. I was truly appreciative and impressed by the service I received here as a first time customer of Brooks Trailers.
