My son (who was fully insured with both health insurance and motorcycle insurance) was struck on…read morehis motorcycle by a pickup truck that sped through a stop sign. Witnesses reported seeing my son fly through the air and then roll on the ground in pain. The ambulance arrived and "evaluated" him at the scene and quickly determined he was "fine." He felt like he was practically told to get out of the ambulance. He couldn't bear normal weight on his leg, so held onto the ambulance to hoist himself out and then hopped/limped to his bike. By the time he got on his (damaged) helmet and started his (no longer street legal, damaged) bike, the ambulance was gone. He rode home, having to reach down to shift with his hand because he couldn't move his leg to shift. It's nothing short of a miracle he didn't pass out on 23 and get killed. He wasn't "fine." He suffered a broken leg, multiple contusions, hit his head, and was clearly in shock. These "professionals" missed a BROKEN LEG. They told a motorcyclist who was IN SHOCK that he could go. You'd think professional EMTs would be able to identify shock and a broken leg. You'd think wrong, apparently. I was stunned at how they literally encouraged him to take himself home. My son got the feeling that they didn't want to transport him, and he guessed it was probably because the accident happened around lunchtime. So if you get smashed on your motorcycle by a pickup, try to do it when you won't get in the way of the EMT's lunch, ok? When I was sent a survey, I returned it with a complaint letter explaining what had happened. (I hadn't called prior because I was busy with my son's injury, and he didn't know what ambulance service came. I had to find that out later.) In spite of the egregious, irresponsible behavior described in my letter, neither of us ever heard from Huron Valley Ambulance. It's been long enough now that if we were going to hear from them, we would have. It's clear this company can't be bothered. Oh, by the way... Our insurance was charged $600 for this "care." Unbelievable.

It's easy to book the rooms and check your FreePlay through the PennPlay app. I don't spend a ton of money gambling so I'm impressed with the free rooms I've been given. The views are fantastic. On this last staycation I had a corner room on the 30th floor overlooking the entire city. You could see Comerica Park, Ford Field and Little Caesars Arena from the panoramic window. The parking structure is right off of 375 and Lafayette. Get a PennPlay players card and parking is always free. Hollywood Greektown is in the heart of everything. All the great restaurants and bars down in Greektown are just steps away. The convenient and safe parking structure take you right into the casino and I've never had to worry about my safety or my vehicle while I'm there. The casino gaming floor is set up in old Trappers Alley and they preserved the looks. Pegasus Taverna is still there and connected to the casino. The second floor allows smoking so if that's not your thing the entire first floor is smoke free. I like the bartenders at the second floor bar. They always have a smile on their face. I'm a video poker and slot player mainly and the selection of games are great. They also have all the table games too.

And the room and view were quite amazing! Casino is two giant floors and they offer players club and veteran perks, huge fan of that!!!! Close walk to downtown and the sport arenas! Also in the process of making the overall strip outside a beautiful strip! Will only stay here in the future!

Pretty much everything including the furniture is original FLW and lovingly cared for across only 2 owners over the past 70+ years. It's only a few minutes from downtown Ann Arbor and yet within the house it feels like you're in the middle of nowhere not only surrounded by nature but part of it. Plan to spend some significant time in the house if you're staying here, and watch the squirrels, chipmunks, and deer outside that are often right by the windows or will stare at you since you're kind of in their wilderness environment. There are of course quirks about the house and rules given the significance of this FLW "Usonian" house and the costs to maintain and/or repair anything that might have issues. If you're a FLW fan or just like unique experiences definitely check out this house that can be rented through AirBnB or VRBO. There are 7 FLW houses in the U.S. which are available to rent as far as I know, and I'm going to say this is likely the best. Bravo!

I was looking for unique accommodation in Ann Arbor (other than middle-of-the-road corporate…read morehotels, very hard to find), when I found this unique Frank Lloyd Wright-designed vacation rental on V.R.B.O. So, I decided to book it for a couple days over the Labour Day weekend. The property owners were very nice to us, and made sure we were set for our sojourn in Ann Arbor. Renting this home is not for everybody, that's for sure. You have to put up with F.L.W.'s eccentric designs, and just go with the flow, and see the beauty of this particular home. For, the beds are not rectangular, more triangular. The bathrooms are small, the doors narrow (Mr. & Mrs. Palmer were petite people, as was F.L.W.). Living and dining rooms are spacious, yet, feature F.L.W.'s signature (hard) custom furniture, not exactly comfortable as more modern furniture we're all used to by now. The kitchen is quite small, but, workable for the simplest self-catering - don't expect a Viking range! Remember, this is a 50's home, pretty much left 'as is' in that decade of design. To conclude, one really must love architecture and design in order to make the most out of a stay here. Do not rent this property thinking it will be luxurious and modern by 2000's standards, this will be a big disappointment for you.
