I then got another call stating between 9 & 10, they didn't arrive until a quarter to 11. Timing isn't the best. I had about 1BD worth of things. I had already taken things myself and had other things put in storage. I was quoted 6 hrs with a truck fee of 150. I was verbally told I wouldn't be charged for 2 hours but that conversation seemed to had been forgotten the day of moving. They state they accept cards and cash but somehow I wasn't informed the card machine was down until AFTER all my items were loaded onto the truck. I highly believe that should have been communicated BEFORE starting or a day earlier. Of course if you're a woman, you are gonna deal with flirtation which let's be honest is super annoying in any setting let alone one your paying for. A handle on my tv stand was snatched off by the older gentleman working (there were 3 guys). He says it was lose but looking at the holes in the door, that definitely was not the case. I was told to buy wood glue to repair it. Crazy, Ikr My pieces to my couch were put back together. They didn't have to disassemble anything prior because I had a friend there to assist with that. Then assembling things upon arrival we're not requested but them doing it on their own was cool with me. It wasn't completely done right but the major connecting as completed Upon completion, I was told a price a lot higher than I was quoted. I saw other reviews stating the same thing previously but didn't think I would be taken advantage of in this manner as well. Be mindful they do not own a truck. So, I'm wondering if it would have been better for me to hire them for labor instead of paying $150 for the truck along with 960 quote and 70 per HALF HOUR after 6 hours. The quote was for 6 hours. I made it clear how long it would take to get to the destination and back. Hence why he said he would charge me for 2 working hours. After everything I paid over $1500 which is the same price as other competitors! I wasn't offer a military discount AT ALL, and I had to fuss about my cabinet being broken to get a little $50 off. I would say be mindful if you're going to hire them and be prepared to pay a lot more than your initially quoted. You may wanna stick with the other quotes you've gotten.

While planning our move from Brownstown to Livonia my wife and I read reviews of a number of…read moredifferent movers but we weren't comfortable with any of them because of some of the reviews we had read. It seemed like each of the moving companies we researched were either really good or really bad. Unfortunately, there wasn't any consistency with any of them. However, I decided to perform one more search and was fortunate enough to come across A-ffordable Moving. In reading their reviews on multiple sites it became clear that A-ffordable Moving was one of the few movers we would request a quote from. I sent a request for a quote via Yelp and received a call from Brian within a matter of minutes. After speaking with him, and the few other moving companies that had called me to provide a quote, it became obvious that A-ffordable Moving was our mover of choice. Brian's rates were very reasonable, he has a capable crew and his truck is relatively new. My wife and I contacted Brian & Holly a couple of times after we first spoke because we had to either add items to the list of things to be moved or remove items from the list of things to be moved, and each time they were polite and accommodating. Even though our new house, which is smaller than our old house, posed some challenges with getting items into the house, Brian and his team handled our items with care and were professional through the entire process. My wife and I would recommend A-ffordable Moving to anyone that is looking for a dependable and professional mover that will treat their items with care.

I called and confirmed last week just in case beforehand and Holly, I believe, confirmed they'd be there at 10am. I waited an hour. Then waited and cried another hour. Nothing. I called both phone numbers over & over-no answer (odd that last time it went right to her cell phone). Just cruel, really. This was personally a devastating day. I'm a single girl doing this on my own, moving into my first house. I have no one here to help me.Many people plan weeks, if not months, for a move. I'm still in shock that a "business" would operate this way. Almost laughable through my tears- they called some other company to call me at 2:30pm!! to see if they could move me another day. They called that guy but not me?! It's 24 hrs later and still no call from Holly, her husband, or anyone from the company to apologize or explain. Cowards. Shame on these people. Please take heed before you entrust such an important day, let alone your property, with these people. I wanted to support a local, family owned operation but beyond these people being wildly unprofessional, they are just cruel and absolute cowards. And now you respond with a 100% absolute lie on Yelp two weeks later that you left me a voicemail?! Something is significantly wrong in your head.. ..like literally sociopathic. Egregious and sort of creepy, really. But yes, thank you, my move ended up being successful with the last minute incredible help from Two Men & A Truck out of the Clarkston office. Seriously they were a godsend; professional, timely, helpful, effective, and oddly enough, I paid the same amount you quoted me for 2 guys instead of 3. In the end, it worked out, it always does... and you are still shameful with your response here. And you know it.

The driver notified me of their ETA along the way, and they arrived with their big truck and equipment on time. Tirelessly, they worked the day into the evening helping to pack and move us to our new space a few miles away. The quote was less than anticipated. Our cash payment was received with a significant ($150) discount; something to be considered. Our furniture - heavy, tall, solid wood furnishings were taken from our old space, transported and delivered exactly to where we desired them in our new place without a scratch or dent to them or the areas they were moved through. What could be disassembled was disassembled, and reassembled perfectly. They took two very short breaks during this multi-hour job, and so did we! The ultimate price point again was very reasonable. I spoke to Clarence who identified himself not as the owner but as the manager (more on that…read morelater). The initial Red Flag was during the conversation I mentioned the need for certain documentation from him to go forward (Basically licensing information, and Insurance Information) as asking for a Certificate of Insurance (COI) is INDUSTRY STANDARD for a move like this. I received IMMEDIATE Push Back and was told that I didnt need said information and that I could get his licensing and bonding information from LARA (Michigan Licensing And Regulatory Affaris) which I did: [Federal License: They hold a valid federal license under USDOT #2303845] and their other license [They are registered as a domestic profit corporation in Michigan (ID: 800705051)] What i couldn't get is Bonding and or the COI ...which i need to protect ny inventory and myself from damage, and or loss. As I said this is Industry standard. I explained this to Clarence and was told that I would recieve that information at a later time after further discussions. Fast forward I talked to Clarence yesterday to confirm that he would recieve an inventory list by no later than close of Business today 5/8/2026 !! He's assured me at the time of our last phone call that that was suitable. We stayed late into the evening yesterday creating an itemized inventory list for Clarence.....only to be told today that he couldn't do it because he has another big move scheduled for "The Government" i dont know how true this is but I find it highly suspicious that 1) he did t call this morning to let us know that he couldn't complete the move which most assuredly could be the case......but in the name of professionalism and the time we have spent on the phone wouldn't it be standard to let us know? Secondly in MY OPINION I think he didnt like the verbiage that was used in the inventory email j. That it specifically asked again for the COI, and ending information as is STANDARD in this business. in our first conversation he told me that he had never been asked for that type of information before and I explained to him at that point, that when doing business with multi million dollar businesses you have to do everything right, he then went kn to tell me how many rich people from the lions and mentioned doing a move for the Taubman estate etc....which is fine but asking for a COI is standard......I feel as if Clarence is operating without being Bonded or without the proper insurance to protect not only the belongings of my company but of anybody he is moving. Again this is my opinion based off of my conversations with him and his subversive responses. He may very well have these very important documents and insurance im not saying that he doesn't what I am saying is that people need to be careful. He has cause me to lose valuable time. I did however call another moving company who gave me without question the documents that I asked for and I am looking forward to this move albeit at a higher price than expected. I would simply like to remind Mr. Clarence (Still dont know why he didnt identify himself as the owner instead of making it appear as he was someone else employed there) thay doing good business is paramount to being g considered great in the business world I own a Mortage company and a Real Estate Brokerage the referrals alone could have netted you a an upwards of six additional figures a year... but you moved Mr. Taubman so maybe you didnt need the business we could have thrown your way. People be very careful and cross all "T's" and dot all "I's" Time was wasted here and after reading the reviews on here and on Google as well as further research I now understand why MY Response to His Response: Sir at NO TIME, ot ONCE, have said anything Negative about YOU or Your Business what I did HONESTLY and EFFECTIVELY was communicate my experience with your business. What I did attempt to do is offer some of what I hoped would be deemed as valuable feed back from one Black Business owner to another. As far as me claiming to be a CEO I never stated that; What I DID say was that I am a success bussineman. As far as me being a disgruntled ex or former employee... sir I can surely attest to you that we do not know each other nor have we ever met outside of the few conversations that we had. What I can tell you is this: I tried to use this as a learning experience for you, your business and for the consumer who doesn't think about things like insurance that movers are supposed to have when moving their belongings personal or professional and what amount of liability is covered in the case of property being damaged, lost or stolen and how to protect themselves as well as trying to help you with the refinement of your communication skills. I felt that I was obligated as a black professional to make sure I did my due diligence to help you better yourself and your business as others have done for me jn the same context

I do think the scheduling office underestimated the size of the move, so it did take more trips than expected, but the job was still completed in a timely fashion. I think this is because they don't actually come out to view the items you have prior to giving an approximate amount of moving time. These guys worked HARD for us and I would recommend them again in a heartbeat! Thanks for all you do. Michelle Adzigian
