There is no extra "trim coil" at the top to fill the opening. (note: some trim coil is required around any window frame along with insulation and sealant.) I am updating my rating to 4/5 to account for the trouble I had convincing them this was the right thing to do. Kudos to Lifetime Windows for ultimately replacing this at their expense. I will report the same to the BBB. FYI, nobody asked me to update my review. I only want to be fair and complete. The windows they sold me are very nice. The window itself was never in question; just a problem with my measure and install.

Job is still not complete. Have been back 6 times due to broken frames, broken locks, hard to open (sticky window's), and sealant around glass. Told they don't clean windows during installation , that's the customers responsibility. Lifetime has been accommodating with service calls, but most of them could have been avoided. My experience is not what I expected from Costco, Marvin and Lifetime.

There was a slight l miscommunication about whether or not we would get the prices that were quoted if we ordered within a year of the first purchase, or whether they quoted that we'd pick in the discounts. Ultimately they offered us what they quoted (just ensure you have a clear understanding.) The installer is great, efficient, friendly, on time and clean. The windows are great so far. We notice a huge difference in the upstairs bedrooms that previously would be much colder than the rest of the house. It has also reduced the noise. I'd recommend getting a quote!

This company doesn't stand behind their work. I have a six year old window that was serviced by them four years after installation and now it has become apparent that there is some serious water damage under the window. They refuse to take any responsibility and only offered to give me a bid to fix it.  I can't even fathom how after 6 years anyone would think this even remotely acceptable.

However, on the day of repairs I was informed they couldn't do the crown. Ok, we made an agreement to remove that from scope. The remaining work was completed, but wasn't up to standards. Joe, the owner, agreed and we scheduled follow up work. Furthermore, the caulking they did was cracking literally the next day, but was told 'the painters will take care of it.' The siding was cut crooked, putting it in a position where it would be in contact with water. They fixed it. The flashing was installed effectively open to water ingress, but was fixed on a follow up visit.
