We dropped off our dog Leo at 7 am for a grooming appointment. After hours with no update, we returned around 11 am. When we arrived, two groomers were examining him and said he wasn't ready yet. A few minutes later, one of them mentioned something might've gotten into his eye. They had tried flushing it, but he still wouldn't open it. Leo was then taken to the adjoining veterinary clinic for an exam. The vet used a green dye test and found that his cornea had been burned. After reviewing the grooming products used, she discovered that one of them wasn't water-based and should never have been used near the eyes. Leo was prescribed several medications to treat the injury. This experience has been heartbreaking. Leo is not just a pet--he's a cherished member of our family. Seeing him in pain and knowing this could have been prevented has been devastating. We're sharing this to help other pet owners make informed decisions and to raise awareness about the risks involved. Please be cautious when choosing grooming services. We wouldn't wish this on anyone.

Their entire team is incredibly friendly, attentive, and clearly passionate about what they do. Our baby Nala absolutely loves going there, she gets so excited at drop-off, which says everything. It gives us so much comfort knowing she's not just being cared for, but genuinely loved while she's there. The grooming services are amazing. Nala always comes back looking beautiful and happy. When it comes to boarding, we have complete peace of mind. We trust them 100% to take the best possible care of our baby, and that kind of trust is priceless. It's clear that every dog there is treated like family. We feel so lucky to have Central Park Landover right in our neighborhood. We couldn't recommend them more!

Their prices went up and when i paid for a dremel service it was evident they did not use dremel despite charging me for it. I want to give them another chance because they are nearby and its easier on my 13 yr old dog but in the past they've gotten his grooming done in under an hour and when i recently asked how long his 8am appointment would take they said it would take 3 hours! I tried to inquire why it would take so long and i understand if they're short staffed but what is the point of an appointment if they're gonna have my dog waiting for hours.

When I got Keto from the shelter he was a caring dog. Well looks can be deceiving and didn't have…read moreany type of training or obedience. Also he showed destructive behaviors because of his separation anxiety. I was in a rut. I was trying all types of methods to get him trained first from me. I used a Gentle Leader, Youtube Videos, Wiki-How, and also looking at Boarding. The thing with the local train and boards they were really expensive. It was out of my range so I was keen on training him myself. After some time the issues still didn't subside. I took Keto to the dog park so he can "exert his energy". That is a place I have no control. Keto would run around, had no recall, and would show aggression towards other dogs as well. One owner was at the dog park and recommended Kevin, the owner of FourDogLovers for Keto. After seeing how her dogs were near her and listening to her commands I took the leap. I went ahead and booked a consultation with Kevin after looking through his instagram and checking if he really works. Went ahead and filled out a form on his website and we did a facetime call on what the problems were. He knew from there what to work on to change Keto and me for the better. The best thing about working with Kevin is he provided lots of information and homework for you to do when the dog isn't in his care. The plans he had me choose from were VERY competitive. I was shocked from other boards charging $$$$ and him at a very comfortable level. Fast forward a couple months of having Keto (and me) train with Kevin and he's a completely new dog. Great recall, no destructive behaviors, no pulling on leash, and so much more. I could not thank Kevin enough for his patience and his knowledge he shared me and Keto throughout these months. If you can considering boarding your training your dog this company is your choice. Best of both worlds where he can board or even do daycare for you. If you are just a little hesitant you can definitely book a consultation and see what a few tricks can help you with your training!

This was the worst experience I have ever had with dog boarding!…read moreI signed up for the VIP service to board my dog for a few days. My dog was returned to me with a huge bloody wound on the top of her head. Nobody contacted me to tell me what happened or when. My Vet was not contacted and looks like No medical attention was given!! I had to take her to the Vet and due to an infection of the wound she required a medical procedure, antibiotics, and paid medication. I will NEVER use or recommend The Pup Camp - stay away!

Prior to today, I gathered all of the details for today's visit. The young lady stated the temperament testing was free, (I learned this was not true once I got there and signed my pup up for the day). (FIRST NEGATIVE) Prior to leaving, I had my own water bowl and water for my pup. The young lady said, oh no, we provide water for your dog. ALL OF THE DOGS DRINK OUT OF THE SAME BOWL. (I knew I should have gotten my dog and left then but I didn't). (SECOND NEGATIVE) At the conclusion of the testing, they are suppose to provide a physical report card of how well your pup did. Fast forward to the pickup. When they brought my pup out, he did not look like how I dropped him off (I'm not complaining about this because he was playing with other dogs.) BUT, he smelled like the other dogs ganged up on him and dumped urine all over him. Ohhh goodness, he was a stinky mess. I did not inquire about this, which I should have. (THIRD NEGATIVE). When I asked for the report card, the young lady goes, "oh I'm sorry, he doesn't have one because there were a lot of dogs today." REALLY?!? But you took my money with no problem. (FOURTH NEGATIVE) The moral to this story, there are too many negatives for the initial consultation so I will pass.

Our very first interaction was great...his energy was wonderful...he did not disappoint! He was very methodical with his approach...explaining every step of the process...very engaging...constant updates of the Boyz progress...videos, photos...wait! The photos that I received were Ahhhhhhh-mazing, I mean impressive...only to learn that he's a photographer as well...but I digress. The Boyz are spoiled and I have no shame in stating this...*smile*. But they needed to learn manners. I have two large and very strong Standard Poodles - Mr. Brown and Max. They're extremely smart, pretty obedient in the house, but a huge challenge on walks...my poor dog walker. I wanted to be able to take them anywhere without the extended conversations of sit, stay, what are you doing? you know better... etc. At any rate, I'd been following OLK9 Maryland for some time online. I knew that training for two dogs was going to be a budget buster. Thankfully, I was able to take advantage of the "Black Friday" or "Cyber Monday" (can't remember which one it was). I cannot say enough about the great experience I had...the Boyz were happy to see Craig each day which was a HUGE relief for me. Yes, additional work/training on my part is required...to me that's a no brainer. As a responsible pet owner, I want to make sure that there is consistency and an expectation that my Boyz are well behaved and well mannered. Which means I have to do the work. Funny, as I was driving home from our final session, I was so tempted to take them on a short walk because I knew it would be enjoyable. But decided to wait until morning... I'm so excited to be able to have an enjoyable walk with these guys... less scolding and more bonding. Well worth the time and financial commitment. Thank you OLK9 Maryland for bringing additional joy to our home... things are definitely more "manageable". I'm really looking forward to our walks, especially since there will be NO more pulling! Can't wait to be able to take them to the "brick and mortar" with me once it's open! "Life Changing K9 Training"

I wasted over $1,000 to unknowingly abuse my dog through Off Leash K9. I sought help because my dog…read morewas reactive toward other dogs, loud vehicles, and people. I was desperate to help my dog and myself and Off Leash K9 had good reviews. What these folks didn't tell me was that my dog's reactivity, what I thought was outright aggression, was actually fear - that she was scared of all of these things and trying to protect herself from them. So with the use of the e-collar (really just a shock collar let's be honest), I punished her every time she showed a fear response at Off Leash K-9's direction. This definitely changed her behavior, but rather than helping her feel more comfortable with the things that scared her, we instead punished her for being afraid and taught her to hide her fear responses. I wish I had looked at the science behind dog behavior, because I now know research shows that punishment through things like e-collars, buzz collars, spray bottles, etc. are incredibly counterproductive to changing dog behavior long term and they seriously traumatize the dog. I'm so very grateful to have met a Fear Free trainer who taught me about positive reinforcement. It has improved my relationship with my dog immensely and it has ultimately lead to the sustained behavior change I was looking for. Please do not waste your money on abusive, ignorant training through Off Leash K9.
