Let me tell you, I've had issues with past dentists and I'm so glad I found Legacy! Long story short, I loved my old dentist but they got wishy washy with insurance and around Covid time so stopped going. I tried another place last year and they tried to upsell me, and refused to clean teeth without extra work even after saying how near perfect teeth are. Fast forward to legacy, and wow I found a new spot. My first visit I had some gum disease so had to go back. The service was great! Even though I needed some extra work I wasn't planning on, they helped me every step of the way. They let me know out of pocket before scheduling work. They are so friendly and great. When the doc looked at my teeth, there was no upselling. Unlike the last place he said what was needed and anything else was optional if I want. So glad I found this spot! I will be back!! read more

Went in for a general cleaning. Did way too many x rays!!!! Another way to get money from ones insurance. Refused to do a regular cleaning and wanted $340 from me to do a "deep cleaning." Never even saw the dentist. He sat behind me and looked inside and left. Had someone come in and tell me the fee. Very unprofessional and overbilled. Imagine, charged the insurance almost $500 for x rays and never even cleaned my teeth. There less than 40 minutes. All about the money. read more

It's a nightmare booking an appointment with this dentist. I was a new patient and scheduled an appointment that was confirmed. The day before the appointment they informed me by phone that they had to move it from 8 AM to 8:45 AM, which I could not make it too. Via the phone I scheduled another appointment one week later. Two days prior to the new appointment they email me at 2:45 PM an encrypted message, that I am unable to open using my iPhone. I get home from work at 5 PM and attempt to view the message on my laptop. You have to download the message and then it takes you to a page where you either enter a password or one time sign in. I never received a password so I used the one time sign in. Only to find the following message. "Hey Danielle, I wanted to reach out because unfortunately the number we have on file doesn't work. However, I have to get this appointment confirmed by the end of the day. (5pm) I also need some insurance information. So, if you could just give the office a call at 602-993-4200, that'd be great! So sorry to say but if I don't hear from you by the end of the day, I do have to remove this appointment from the schedule. I hope to hear from you soon" I have tooth pain and have been looking forward to this appointment. I had to take time off work twice. I have spoken to them on the phone but they somehow don't have the right number. Then they send me an encrypted message (like they are the CIA with classified information) and give me a two hour window to respond. I guess I should be happy my appointment is canceled since they have the competence of a newborn baby. read more

Went in for a routine check up. The front office lady violated HIPAA by telling me another patients full name asking if we were related. I told them I had no insurance when filling out paperwork. The dentist reads my X-rays with me and suddenly I have 10 cavities? They wanted $3,000 from me out of pocket! I got a 2nd and 3rd opinion and both told me I have 0 cavities and to never go back to Legacy! 0/5 stars recommend! read more

This review is long overdue, but every time I go to my new dentist (here in Glendale), I think of my experience at Legacy Dental and am livid. During my first visit, the dentist comes in (not Dr. Core) and says out loud: "oh, this is the patient that hasn't seen a dentist in a couple years!" Not true, I go twice a year. I maintain my teeth health pretty well. My previous dentist (of 30 years) and my new dentist, are very detailed when cleaning my teeth. At Legacy, they only used a scraper for a couple minutes, "because your teeth are clean." During the first visit, the dentist recommended I replace my metal fillings (many decades old) with composites. Like a fool, I agreed. After only a few years now, my current dentist says that the composites are wearing down and may need an on-lay. The metal fillings would have lasted a lot longer. I asked that my x-rays and records be sent to my new dentist, after I left Legacy, but they never sent them. Avoid going here. You'll regret it, as I did. read more

Legacy dental definitely holds its name! My wife and I have been visiting this office for a little over a year now. I called in asking for a right away appt since I was having severe pain through out the weekend and they got me in on same day. Scheduled for an x-ray only since that's all they had available at end of day. They went beyond my expectations and stayed after hours to do my root canal. They didn't want me going home with pain. I want to preface my review by saying I am probably a dentist's worst nightmare. I'm flinchy and scared. I unabashedly cry and I think everything is going to hurt. I am afraid of doctors in general and denstists are not exempt. But what does a fraidy cat do when they have excruiating dental pain? Where do we go when we are nervous and scared? Where can we turn if it has been years since we have even been to the dentist and we are embarassed and ashamed of the current state of our teeth? We can turn to Dr. Core. He is quite possibly one of the nicest people I have ever met and he is totally easy to trust and talk to about your concerns. I didn't really want to hear about what was going on and he kept the facts quick and easy to understand. He helped matain my focus about the positive side of getting my necessary work done, and he didn't make me feel guilty or nervous. He didn't even judge me for my silly crying which was a comforting bonus. Everyone at the office is very pleasant and hospitable. Looking for a good dentist? Legacy Dental Group is your place! Dr. Louis Core is very professional, knowledgeable, and downright friendly. The office staff is polite and professional. Dr. Core has been my dentist for years now and I drive a good distance to go see him. But the real reason I go to Legacy has nothing to do with Dr. Core and EVERYTHING to do with Nancy, my hygenist. I have never had a moment of pain or discomfort while in Nancy's care. She can do a cleaning so fast you won't believe it...and it's a GREAT cleaning. She's hilariously funny and she never makes you feel bad if you aren't the best flosser in the world. Legacy's office is also very kid friendly. Dr. Core has a bushel of kids himself so he understands how important it is to make kids comfortable, especially at the dentist. And Nancy is great with kids too. Oh man, where to start? I'm a big dude but the thought of dental work puts me into the state of mind of being 10 years old and in the fetal position full of terror. One step into Dr. Core's office alleviated all of that anxiety. Dr. Core and all of his staff have been completely understanding and sympathetic to my concerns and when I learned that the extensive work I needed done could be completed while I was sedated, I was sold. In the three or four appointments I've had with them, they have rarely left me alone. I've never felt like a random patient waiting in a cold room. They actually have made me feel like I was the only patient in the place. This pleased my ego. All of the work that needed to be done (and ultimately was done) was explained in detail to me so that I always knew what was going on and what to expect. After my oral surgery, Dr. Core called me personally on a Saturday night to make sure I was okay. I was shocked when I answered the phone. How many doctors do that anymore??? Every member of the staff has been amazing to work with and very friendly. My insurance coverage was broken down and explained to me in great detail before any work was done. I have found the dentist I will be going to for a long, long time. If you have any anxiety about dentists, you will not be disappointed in how you're treated here. Don't avoid dentists like I did. Dr. Core and his staff are professional, friendly and most important, informative. The last experience I had with a dentist prior to visiting Legacy Dental Group left a bad taste in my mouth (HA!). While being examined the dentist and hygienist both ignored me and spoke to each other about me like I wasn't present. At several points I asked questions, at appropriate breaks in the all-so exciting exam process, about what the terminology they were using meant and I was answered each time with disdain by the hygienist. At the end of the exam I began to ask the dentist questions directly and he cut me off, stating that I need to reserve my questions for the front desk staff. My experience at Legacy, with Dr. Core and his staff, couldn't have been more different. They clearly explained each step of each procedure they performed and answered all of my questions. They included me in their conversations and showed the utmost concern for my comfort. The office is ultra clean and modern which caused my first impression to be that their prices would reflect the overheard of their office. After my exam they explained and priced my treatment; I took that information home and did some comparison shopping with some of the "bargain" dentist offices in the valley and Legacy's pricing was actually a few dollars less than the lowest quotes I received elsewhere. Dr Core and his staff are all awesome. My family have been going to see him for years now and they are always friendly and professional. He offers sedation dentistry and makes crowns while you wait so you don't have to put in a filling and come back later. My husband had a lot of extractions, root canals, crowns and fillings and after a few years they are still holding up while other dentists he had visited had work that disintegrated within a year. Dr Core also warranties his work. I had over 15 fillings put in and they make sure you are comfortable and don't argue if you say you need more numbing. His assistant, dental hygienist, and office staff are wonderful people that know how to make you feel comfortable and like you are part of the family. When it comes to the scary and painful procedures he is so gentle and seems to make them as painless as possible. I have been struggling and searching for a new dentist since I got kicked off of insurance two years ago. Legacy Dental left me very impressed. I tried them out with their Living Social deal, which included a basic cleaning, Xrays and exam for $29. I figured, with no insurance, at this price, why not? I went to my appointment today, wondering how I would be treated as a new patient with a discount. I felt like all the staff made a full effort with me and that I got the same care as if I paid full price. In addition, Dr. Core gives the best discounts for cash-paying patients that I have found in the Valley, so I definitely intend to continue my dental care here. Worst dental experience ever. If I could give no stars I would. My parents paid between $4500-$5000 for me to get Invisalign as a teenager. Any time I would schedule an appointment they would reschedule and reschedule by calling my mother and never contacting me. Eventually I got tired of having my appointments canceled or rescheduled over and over and stopped trying. When I told them I wanted my remaining aligners they gave me a box with #7-11 when I was originally only given #1 and 2. When I contacted them for more information of what to do from here to get my teeth straightened or a refund they put it all on me and said I didn't show up for the appointments that they called to cancel. Now me and my family are out all that money, they no longer want me as a patient and said if I want Invisalign again I'll have to pay another 2 grand. Hubby has some pain, so we scheduled him in a few days time. I found this dental group because the hours were a little later, which we needed with hubby's special hours during this time of the year. They x-rayed and diagnosed him within 20 minutes and even offerred to do the extraction right then and there, but we had to go out of town. Will go back tomorrow to finish the job. Very impressed! WARNING! Although Dr. Core is a very good dentist, and I have no complaints there... they have obviously hired a new billing person who must be trying to make an impression. Even though my end of the year bill in 2017 said zero balance I am now being back billed for work done in 2015 and 2016. I see that they have had billing problems in the past, according to some Yelp reviews, and they seem to care more about collecting a few dollars than they do about their patients or about retaining their patients. When I called them about this bill I was even told that I could switch dentist offices if I didn't like being back billed. BEWARE!! read more

I had a tooth extraction yesterday and I was totally freaked out about the procedure however Dr. Louis Core and his assistant made me feel comfortable and helped alleviate my fears. Who likes dentists? Nobody, right? So, I took a look back on all the dentists I've ever had and it was pretty easy to say that Dr. Core and the staff at Legacy are my favorite. I go in, I get my cleaning, I get my xrays, I get straight-talk, everyone is friendly and helpful, they are amazing with my children. I've never had a problem with billing, scheduling, insurance, or anything at all with these people. The office is always clean, and they have bottled water (and sometimes cookies...I know right? weird for a dentist office to serve sweets) in the lobby. Watch out for additional charges! At the time of service I paid a fee that I was told would would take care of the services rendered. I do have dental insurance. I received an additional bill. I questioned the charge as my entire family uses Dr. Cores services. The response was too bad you owe the bill. I will not use this practice again. They would not budge on a $55 charge! I noticed Dr. Core has earned his MBA. Interesting! My family has spent thousands of dollars with this practice. I think his MBA should have taught him not to burn several thousand dollars over $55. As an out of state visitor, I had a tooth infection on July 25th while camping. On my return to Phoenix the next day, I searched my insurance website for a list of dentists (1,163 in a 5 mile radius). I came across Dr. Louis Core bio and reviews of Legacy Dental Group. I liked what I read and called for an appointment on Monday. Maria explained everything about filling out the forms on their website. She scheduled me the next day! I checked in for my appointment and the administrative staff (Isabel) was very pleasant and helpful! The dental assistant Brittany did an awesome job with my x-rays! Dr. Core examined my teeth and stated they were abcessed and prescribed antibiotics. Maria then sat down with me and explained the treatment plan. I was glad there was no pressuring in other dental matters that I knew I had. My next appointment will be to have root canals & crowns done. So far its been an "AWESOME" experience and I will be updating my review after that appointment. My family and myself have been going to Legacy Dental Group for many years. We still think that Dr. Core is a fine dentist. However, I recently ran into a billing problem with them and have been treated with extreme disrespect, rudeness, and even name calling from their billing person, Stephanie (who happens to be Dr. Core's wife). I have been going through an appeals process between Legacy, and my Insurance company during which time my account was on hold. However I was sent to a collection agency by Stephanie during this time, even though I paid my account in full, which was arranged with their receptionist, Jeremy. Even after paying the account, I am still harassed daily by this collections agency. My suggestion for Dr Core; Don't put your wife in chage of billing. Hire a new billing person to remove any kind of emotional and personal connection between the company and the patient. read more

Great experience!! The dentist was so good as he had to do sedation as the gagging was so bad the procedure was not possible without it. All the peoople at the offiCe were so nice and thhe Dentist did a fabulous job of a root canal and the crown. They also were able to have the hygienist clean his teeth so that was also taken care of.
