Dr. Mack is truly one of the best dentists I have ever gone to, and I have been a patient for about 5 years now. While I would recommend anyone to Dr Mack, I make a point to tell them he is very religious. I let people know this, as while I appreciate it, and respect it, I know others may not. He is kind, funny, and really knows what he is doing, and explains what will happen. All of his assistants are friendly and kind. His office staff however, leaves a lot to be desired. Dawn will fail to tell you until the work is done the full cost, and will tell you outright that you need to do the leg work for your insurance needs. There have been plenty of times I have asked over and over again what the cost is, up to and including the day of the visit, however its always an unsure of answer, or a wait on the insurance. Well the second you step out of that chair, that full bill is prepped and ready, and usually more than quoted. I have referred a few people over, and one of the biggest complaints is always regarding billing, and Dawn. The only reason I can not give 5 stars is due to Dawn and billing issues. If i could rate Dr Mack only and not the office as a whole, he is worth the 5 star review. read more

The staff at North Canyon Dentistry is very efficient, professional, and personable. The office is beautifully decorated and my first visit was in the fall so I was greeted with scarecrows, pumpkins, and fall colored leaves. It made me feel like home. Dr. Mack was very thorough with my first visit. I have a rare health condition and he sat and went through my history to understand it with me. He also took time just to get to know me as a person and to make sure that I was comfortable with him and his office. This time also allowed me get to know his friendly and joking personality. My cleaning was thorough and I had to have some work done because I had been to two other horrible dentists after my dentist of 27 years had retired. The office was able to schedule me in for the next week and Dr. Mack did a wonderful job filing my cavities and repairing the work that the other dentists messed up. I highly recommend North Canyon Dentistry to anyone who is looking for a dentist who is warm, friendly, and has a great sense of humor but who is highly skilled and professional. read more

I have been going to Dr. Mack for over 15 years, and really appreciate how much he genuinely cares for me as a person. I had a difficult case after a bad bicycle accident where I broke 8 teeth and needed surgery from an implant specialist. The specialist's office worked with Dr. Mack on my case, and Dr. Mack was very picky to be sure the implants and bridgework all functioned together correctly. The final result looks great. After lots of regular cleanings/checkups, and the major implant/bridgework, I can happily recommend him as a dentist who works very hard to minimize my pain and maximize the results. I also appreciate that he will pray with you before surgery, if you ask him to - he doesn't push it on you but it is nice that the prayer is available. Most recently, I needed a few fillings and he used some new laser equipment so that I didn't even need novacaine nor a drill. I've recommended him to my friends for years - my favorite dentist. read more

This is by far the best dentistry I've ever been to! Recently, I had to get additional work done on my teeth. Instead of having to come back for multiple visits, they are able to do all of the work in-office (onlay, crown, and root canal) and they made my new porcelain tooth during the visit as well! I had some concerns about the recent work; Dr. Mack and his staff took the time to explain what was happening, ways to prevent further issues, and discuss options to make future visits more comfortable. I also thought I might have another issue with a different tooth. He took the time to take an x-ray and review it just to reassure me that there was nothing wrong. Dr. Mack, his staff, and dental hygienists are awesome. His office is very welcoming and peaceful. Our family of five has been coming here for over 10 years and have no complaints. Over the years, we have had our fair share of cavities, root canals, implants, crowns, and oral surgeries, all taken care of by Dr. Mack. Dr. Mack is very personable, kind, and really cares about his patients. He says a prayer for you prior to working on your teeth. After a procedure, he personally calls in the evening to check on how you are doing. We have a non-verbal autistic son and Dr. Mack is well experienced and passionate when working on our sons dental issues. I have changed quite a few dentists in my life and am very glad that I decided to go with Dr. Mack per friends recommendation. Dr.Mack is not the dentist that will tell you your smile is crooked, let's spend 10 grand on fixing it without even an initial exam. Yes! It has happened to me before, clearly I walked out of that office.... Dr.Mack will evaluate and recommend the plan for treating areas that need attention (cavities, root canals, etc.) not some aesthetic stuff that really do not matter much, especially when patient is happy with their own smile! Dr. Mack and his staff are exceptional! I moved here from out of state 7 years ago and spent a good deal of time trying different dentists. At every appointment I have had a thorough examination, to an extent that I have not had any other dentist perform. They truly go above and beyond in their care! I had a root canal procedure in his office a few years ago. I did not feel a thing, as Dr. Mack has all sorts of gadgets and tricks that distract you from the procedure. Dr. Mack and his staff are top notch professionals that always make you feel welcome and comfortable with any procedure you have done. For those long appointments there are large screen TV's to watch a show or a movie with headphones. Procedures are explained fully and Dr. Mack and that staff are very perceptive about my nervousness at being in the dentist chair.
