The dentist is nice but the office staff is awful. It was just too much to put up with every time I went to the dentist.

I would first like to say that I was very satisfied with my initial visit to your office. From the…read moremoment I arrived, the staff was welcoming, professional, and made me feel comfortable. My cleaning and exam were thorough, and I left feeling confident that my concerns were being taken seriously. Unfortunately, my experience following that appointment, specifically regarding the referral to the periodontist, left me feeling disappointed and frustrated. For that reason, I feel it is important to share my experience and the concerns I have about the referral process. I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the referral process and my experience during my recent periodontal consultation. During my exam and cleaning, I discussed my concern regarding an open embrasure (black triangle) with my dentist. Based on that conversation, I was referred to a periodontist to discuss a gum graft as a possible solution. I scheduled the appointment and took time out of my day because I trusted that this referral was appropriate for my condition. At the consultation, the periodontist briefly examined the area, asked what my primary concern was, and after I explained that it was the embrasure, immediately stated that a gum graft would not correct an embrasure. He then said the general dentist would need to discuss restorative options such as a veneer or crown instead. After the appointment, I was told I owed a consultation fee. I questioned why I was being charged for a consultation regarding a treatment that the specialist immediately determined would not address my concern. I was then told the consultation was also intended to determine whether I was a candidate for a veneer or crown. That explanation does not align with the reason I was given for the referral. I was referred specifically to discuss a gum graft-not to obtain clearance for a veneer or crown. My concern is not that specialists charge consultation fees. My concern is that I was referred for a treatment that the specialist determined almost immediately was not an appropriate option for the condition I was referred to discuss. This resulted in an unnecessary appointment, wasted time, and an attempt to charge me for a consultation that, in my opinion, should never have been necessary if the appropriate evaluation had been completed before the referral. For that reason, I declined to pay the consultation fee. I don't believe that I should be financially responsible for a referral that appears to have been inappropriate from the outset. I am requesting a clear explanation as to why I was referred for a gum graft consultation when the specialist determined almost immediately that a gum graft would not resolve my primary concern. I also ask that your office review the referral process to help prevent other patients from experiencing the same situation.

The dentist told me that I needed to have a tooth extracted and told me what the insurance would pay. I told her there would be no extractions done. Receptionist gave me a date and time for next appointment and I marked my calendar. I then get a call my appointment needed to be changed as the doctor was on vacation and I told her that I was scheduled a week later and all she wanted to do is argue with me that I was wrong. Went to my new date appointment and the girl doing my X-rays said I was there for an extraction and a crown and I told her no. I was there for a routine six month exam. Was not told that I would not have Dr. Sohi - the dentist that came in said she was filling in and if that was okay. Kind of late to ask me that. She continued to check my teeth and then cleaned them while giving me a shower at the same time. I mentioned to the girl that did the X-rays about the appointment mix up and she went on to say that I called in January to change the date which I never did. She wanted to schedule my next appointment and I told her no that is fine. I feel that this office just wants to keep selling you services that you do not need or want. I will continue looking for a new dentist just as I did six months ago.

I was informed that my final tooth extraction needed to be completed by an outside oral surgeon because the office did not have a surgeon who could perform the procedure. My understanding was that I would be referred to a specialist and then return to begin my aligner treatment. That did not happen. I never received the referral or the aligner treatment that I am disputing. Despite multiple attempts over the past several years to get answers, I have struggled to get a resolution. I recently learned that my CareCredit dispute was denied because Aspen Dental reported that I had received all of my services. I disagree with that conclusion and have requested copies of my records and the documentation supporting that determination. I also sent a formal written request to Aspen Dental, but I have not yet received a response. My goal has never been to avoid paying for services I actually received. I am simply asking for a fair review of the charges for services that I believe were never provided and for the documentation supporting Aspen Dental's position. I hope this matter can be resolved promptly, but based on my experience, I cannot recommend this office until it is.

They've done fillings for me in the past & im insanely difficult to numb. The staff has always been patient & supportive of my numbing situation. The hygienist i saw was Maahin & she was absolutely lovely! I needed an adjustment to my temp crown & they got me in within hours. Dr.Patel did the adjustment today & she was so kind! Additionally, i know a family in great need of support. Their office manager, Phil, gave me hygiene kits for the kids who are in an urgent situation. They also offer financing - so whoever said they don't, you're wrong. Their pricing is very up front & reasonable-no hidden fees. Previous reviews say the space is dirty - and that's crazy. It's very clean. I hope this helps people who are turned off by the negative reviews. I wholeheartedly disagree with them. Come to Alsbury!

The wall had something black all over the wall and dental equipment, there were large cracks in the wall, broken baseboards and there are dead bugs in the lights that also have blown bulbs. The tray that holds the dental instruments was visibly dirty. Maybe if I hadn't been waiting for over 20 minutes alone in the room waiting for the dentist I wouldn't have noticed so much, but for a place that works in your mouth to be so dirty and unkept was a little disturbing.

Wasted our time, no accountability, and zero apology…read more I took a full day off work to bring my son to a dentist appointment that was scheduled by this office during our last visit. We showed up on time, only to be told at check-in that my son wasn't eligible to be seen yet because--according to their records and our insurance--he needs to be at least 6 months past age 3. So why was the appointment scheduled in the first place? Why did we receive multiple text reminders and confirmations leading up to the day of the visit, if we weren't actually eligible? No one apologized. The front desk staff casually offered for us to keep the appointment if we want to pay out of pocket. Obviously no.
