I didn't realize it, and drove on it just a mile or so before getting to a place I could put air in it. The next morning, I was trying to find a place that could come tow it or put air in so I could drive it to be fixed, since that service was covered by our insurance. I called McCall's, and the call was sent to voicemail. While I was talking with my brother about the tire over the phone, I got a call back from Bill McCall. I returned the call, and he said they could come put air in it. When Jeff arrived less than 15 minutes later, he surprised me by saying HE would take the car to the shop, leave his truck at my house, and then bring my car back when they were finished. I thought that was pretty awesome, but they topped themselves by bringing it back and saying "no charge"!They also turned the tire around, because it had a noticeable mark on the tire from where I drove it flat. I was blown away!! Where on earth do you get that kind of service these days? So glad I went with a local company. They've been in the same spot for so long, they have to be doing things right or the business wouldn't have lasted. I've already told a few people about the experience, and everyone has said they were impressed and would not hesitate to go there for service in the future. THANK YOU, McCall's Auto Service! They took a look at my car and offered the idea of repairing my subframe for a bit cheaper than replacing. They told that they've fixed worse, so I trusted their expert opinion and paid more than $500 to get my subframe fixed up. A few months later, I have a broken sway bar link, which broke off the supposedly fixed subframe that was actually rotted. I had to pay another shop to replace my subframe (which I originally went to JNL Auto for). Car has been driving great ever since, thanks to the other mechanic who apparently knows the difference between rust and rotted metal. Letting me drive around on that subframe could've killed me.
