The woman who took my order was wonderful -- she offered great suggestions and took the time to explain the seasonal drinks, which was helpful since I don't visit coffee shops often. That part of the experience was genuinely positive. That said, the overall atmosphere made me feel a bit uncomfortable. I later learned the locations are franchised, and I believe the owners may have been present during my visit. Unfortunately, there was very little warmth or friendliness from them. There were no smiles or welcoming gestures, and at times I felt stared at, which made the experience feel awkward and uninviting. I tried to brush it off, took a few photos, and carried on, but the lack of friendliness continued, which left me feeling uneasy. I always try to support local businesses and give thoughtful reviews, so I wanted to share this in the hopes that it's taken as constructive feedback. The drinks and front-line service were great -- I just hope the overall environment can become a bit more welcoming in the future.

The coffee and espresso always taste fresh and smooth. The flavors available are great quality and delicious. The owner, Tracy, created her own sugar-free flavor "Burnt Cream" and I am hooked. My family stops by as often as we can. My kiddo's order: a Steamer (usually the "Cinderella" flavor) which is a steamed milk beverage with no coffee. 10/10 every time. In summer, a smoothie. Also great! My order: Iced Americano with the Sugar-Free Burnt Cream flavor and half n half. Oh boy, it's so tasty and wakes me right up! My partner's order: a Blended iced carmel macchiato. Tracy and her crew just hook it up every time, so consistent and delicious. We moved out of the neighborhood next to Sacred Grounds, yet still make the drive because it's that good.

I pulled up, the barista took my order, a blended drink. Then, as I sat, waiting for her to make my drink, she literally ignored me. Now, I wouldn't have normally been put off by this, because, hey, she's busy making my drink....except that she held an entire conversation with the gentleman who was at the other window. After the initial taking of my order, the next thing she said to me was to ask me if I wanted whip cream. She did ask if I have a punch card (I don't), then gave me the total, ran my card and that was it. Like I said, I normally have a great experience at this small locally owned business and I was excited to see them in the area I grocery shop in but this put me off of going back to this location. If I want an impersonal experience, I can just go to a big chain for my coffee.

I was hoping Vancouver would be in the same category, but unfortunately, this experience was a major letdown. The woman who greeted us was very friendly, and I genuinely appreciated that. However, despite taking our order on a device, she asked us multiple times to confirm our drink sizes, whether they were hot or cold, etc. Then, a second employee came out and asked us if we wanted straws... something we had literally been asked about maybe two minutes earlier. Normally, I'm extremely understanding when a business is busy and orders get mixed up. But we were the only car there. There was no one in front of us or behind us, so I'm not really sure how our order was still getting confused after being confirmed so many times and entered into a device. And somehow, the drink sizes were STILL wrong. The matcha was the biggest disappointment. I could immediately tell by the color that something was off. It was this cloudy, grayish-turquoise color, and unfortunately, it tasted about as bad as it looked. The breakfast sandwich was also disappointing because it was essentially a Jimmy Dean sandwich. I hate giving a local business one star because I know how much that can hurt, and I really wanted to like this place. But between the repeated confusion over a very simple order, the incorrect drink sizes, the poor matcha, and the disappointing breakfast sandwich, I just can't justify giving more.
