Efficient, productive, convenient. Part of difficulty with rating and reviewing this place is the…read morecustomer service depends on who I get, e,g, once I rent in with an item and prepaid two day shipping and the guy (sorry I don't have his name), was super helpful with advising me about the envelope and bubble wrap, etc., I went in yesterday and was completely bewildered--it was asnother guy who told me that I could scan my package, and he points me to a machine which apparently does that. Okaaaay. After he scans my package, which I had pretaped, he asks "Do you want a receipt?" But it was the tone as if it was a major inconvenience and something out of the ordinary. I find myself explaining how the company wants a photo of the receipt ... very bizarre interaction. I was secretly thinking that if all customers went to use that machine, wouldn't he be out of a job? Like I said, it depends on who you get here. Off hours, you can find parking (street) metered.

The customer service here leaves a lot to be desired. I went by to drop off a box of books that i…read moresold online. I didn't have any packing tape at home and there was none out for customer usage that I could see. I already had my shipping label, so all I was missing was the tape. There was one person there, who i'm assuming was being assisted with photos, and two employees. I stood there, holding a heavy box for probably close to 10 minutes, and they never acknowledged me. Both employees looked at me and ignored me. Neither said anything about being right with me, or it would just be a minute or anything. They never said a word, just ignored me. And I stood there holding a heavy box the entire time. Then I noticed the sign about their "full service surcharge" which basically states that if one of their employees has to do something for you, you have to pay for it. Since I already had my shipping label, I was not about to pay for them to tape my box. So I scanned my label and dropped my box in their chute. Next thing I know, i'm about to get into my car, and one of the employees comes out and starts yelling at me because my box wasn't taped. His exact words were that it was all over the place. He told me that I had to wait for them. I responded that I did wait for 10 minutes, and they ignored me. He just kept yelling at me that next time I can't do that. So here's the thing. I am sorry that my box made a mess, but the thing is that I doubt that happened. The box was packed pretty tight, and it did not drop that far. So while a couple of books probably fell off the top, it wouldn't have gone all over the place. Basically, there should have been tape out for the self service they push so hard, like every other shipping store in the area. Otherwise, don't threaten to charge a fee for shipping a box and don't ignore your customers. I did not appreciate being yelled at and humiliated in public over their lack of customer service. Next time I sell books online, i'll go to the FedEx store in Millbrae.

This UPS Store is exceptionally well managed. The staff are professional yet genuinely warm --…read moreefficient, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to deal with. The franchise owners (M. et al.) are the real secret sauce behind the operation. Compare that to the company-owned FedEx store on 4th Ave -- considerably larger footprint, almost certainly higher rent -- and you have to wonder how they compete on the retail side of things. Bottom line: I'll happily walk two extra blocks for this UPS Store every time.

I loved the ease of working with Plasti-Print to print a simple, large sized birthday poster…read more I must have called close to 10 printing vendors and was receiving outrageous prices for printing a 2ftx3ft color poster (on poster paper - nothing extravagant) - prices of up to $200! Insane. Anyway, I stumbled upon Plasti-Print and was hesitant to try them out because of the minimal Yelp reviews, but I'm so glad I did. I received a price, sent over my file for printing and within a few days, the job was completed and ready for pick-up. I noted that there was no rush on printing. These guys also print on t-shirt, plastic, metal - a bunch of stuff. It's not often that I need printing jobs, but when I do, Plasti-Print is my go-to. Also, I don't know if this was by error, but they printed 2 posters for me and charged me the price we agreed upon for 1. If it wasn't by error, it was just a really kind gesture. Thank you!
