This is my favorite Chinese restaurant. Since I work in the area, I frequently order from the lunch menu and have NEVER been disappointed. The food is consistently good. I ordered from Lee's for the first time and was not very happy. I got the General Tso Chicken combination and an order of fried wontons. I thought the chicken was very chewy and didnt have the crunch it should have after being fried. The wontons were pretty much empty. They are supposed to have some meat in them but they barely had any. I would try them again, hopefully better next time. read more

The chicken and broccolic was absolutely delicious-you can tell the chicken is real, quality chicken.The sauce was perfert.Not too salty and so tasty. My husband and daughter really enjoyed the general tso shrimp. Combination was generous enough for both of them to share. My son loved the soup and shrimp with lobster sauce. The shrimp were huge! Great take-out Chinese food. They cook to order, and always get my order correct. Most spare ribs are covered with a sticky red sauce, Lee's doesn't do that and makes it easier to eat with less mess,without the sloppy sticky sauce. I like to add my own duck sauce and mustard. Long story short, they refused to credit me a delivered dinner when the girl answering the phone got it wrong. Sorry, but the customer is always right. Especially one that never complains and orders from you every week. Back to Lee's - tried for the first time tonight. AMAZING! Chicken and vegetables with garlic sauce was better than HD because the vegetables were fresher (snow peas heard crunching from across the table) and the chicken was more tender. Shrimp and mushrooms was fabulous. Huge shrimp, tons of fresh mushrooms and crunchy vegetables. My husband got chicken with broccoli, string beans and spicy brown sauce, which was also perfect. The plain lo mien was very, very tasty - HD's tends to be super bland. Delivery was quick and the delivery guy very friendly. They also gave us a free 2 liter of Coke. I am from N. Merrick and do not like the three Chinese Take Outs near me, so I tried this place based on all of the stellar reviews (with the exception of one person's). I ordered the General Tso's Chicken, and it is tough as nails, and there is barely any sauce on it. The sauce is tasty, but there is hardly any served with it, and most of the pieces of meat were dry and hard. I just tried the wonton soup and it's greasy. IDK, I am really disappointed.
