I've been here a couple times with multiple random keys I needed duplicated and it has been the fastest friendliest service. But this time around was definitely worth writing a yelp post for. The guy made my keys before I could even pull money out of my wallet. In and out awesome service! read more

Dave from Lee's Lock & Safe is the BEST! Our pivot front door NEVER closed properly - until Dave! I initially called for a lock install but Dave discovered the lock I purchased online wasn't going to fit, so he was kind enough to show me a more solid alternative. He answered all my questions and was so enthusiastic about home safety & all the advancement made in the technology you could tell he loved and knew the industry well. To top it all off, (without me ever mentioning anything about the issue), Dave casually let's me know he re-screwed a few latches & tightened others on the front door so that now it will close all the way...savior!! That's how you know someone is a PROFESSIONAL! I now have a front door that STAYS closed when I shut it, and will have a better, professionally recommended lock. Thanks for having the best people Lee's Lock & Safe! read more

I had a sticking deadbolt on my front door that I have taken apart and lubricated over the years. It finally seemed like it was finished after 22 years of service. Jon came out and gave me some options and we decided to try his strike plate adjustment first before replacing the whole lock set. He modified the strike plate to relieve the pressure from the deadbolt and lubed the lock set. Everything is working a lot better and I know who I will call when I eventually have to replace the whole lock set. read more

I wouldn't typically review a locksmith, but I had a fantastic experience with Lee's this week. Having recently completed construction on our Encinitas home, it was time to re-key the whole house. I called Lee's and, surprisingly, they were able to send someone out within 1/2 hour, in spite of this not being an emergency situation. The technician, Matt, was awesome. He was polite and friendly (without being obsequious) and really knew his stuff. We had 8 doors and two gates. He set us up with house keys that could also open the gates, plus gate keys that wouldn't open the house (for gardeners and other potential situations). The job was complicated by having two different kinds of locks on our glass doors, but he did the whole job in under two hours. Plus - he adjusted all of the latches (some were a little tight, and a couple others weren't perfectly aligned. Matt said he always likes to leave a door a little better off than when he found it. That's what I call service. After all that, the price was also quite reasonable, with no extra charges. read more

They were great! Called them at 3:15 and they were here by 3:30. Bob was super nice and opened our locked closet door in no time! Was impressed by how quick the entire process was and would definitely recommend! read more

I own a business, and had an unfortunate incident with our old geezer of a cash safe and my key almost ripping completely off in the lock. These guys were able to make a copy of my mangled key, AND took extra time to lubricate the lock so the new key would work in it. I decided to get a new safe for the salon anyway, so they were able to find a much better version of the old one, and for WAY less than I expected it to be. They ordered it and ended up calling me the next day to tell me it was already there. Everyone was friendly, and genuinely interested in helping me. I will definitely be referring my friends. read more

Wonderful to have a resource like Lee's Lock & Safe in our community. They take the time to help you make the right purchase. They do what they say. Show up on time and do a great job with courtesy. They can make difficult car keys that can save you money vs. Dealers. I trust them. read more

We had a deadbolt installed by Lee's Lock and Safe in 7/2020, for a cost of about $150. On 1/3/2022, our key stuck in the lock and the cylinder came out. I phoned Lee's Lock and Safe and they came out and repaired it for $111. I was disappointed that this lock failed after being installed just a year and a half earlier. We haven't had any previous issues with our locks at this house for 18 years. Now, after a new lock was installed by Lee's Lock and Safe, it broke in after a year and a half. I don't think I should have been charged for the repair. read more

I had a sentry safe which needed to be opened. I call lees up and he gave me a quote for $288 and that it would take 2 hours to open. It seemed crazy so I did some research on YouTube. I watched a 5 minute video and had the safe open 10 minutes later Thus, the one star read more

it is difficult to price lock work out. The company really does not have a clear picture what needs to be done until they arrive. The prices were exorbitant. In addition to a $50 charge just to show up, a interior door handle was $50 and another $20 for labor. $70! The $50 was for nothing I do have to say that the person who did the work was timely and very nice but price way too high read more

I have been going to Lee's for several years! Their keys always fit! They are honest, quick, professional and reasonably priced. Two years ago I rekeyed our house in Mexico. I brought all they keys to be duplicated by Lee's including a special padlocklock without a key from Mexico. They duplicated all the keys and they all fit. It it took them a week to find the code for the special lock and made keys for it also for a very reasonable price. They are the best. They are the only lock service trust my security to! read more

So after stopping at no less than four key shops today, I for the first time found lee's ... they duplicated my key then said "no worries - no charge"... who does this any-more?? The key works perfectly and lee's now has a new customer for life. Thank you read more

Needed a couple car keys cut and they wouldn't take a cent. Good service and good karma attitude - they earned my future business.

Today I went to Lee's lock & safe: The service was amazing, I broke a key in my lock and it was fixed in less then a minute and by very friendly service! I will always go there for any lock related services read more

Called Lee's to add a deadbolt to two exterior doors. They replaced two keyed door handles with a plain unkeyed handles. No issue with the parts except the $150 per handle charge which seems excessive. $338 of labor in my opinion is just plain thievery for a job that took less than an hour. Called to question the charge and was told that there is a fixed labor charge of $150 per deadbolt? Lesson learned, get it all in writing before you call them for a job. This is meant to be a zero star review read more

Top notch! Lee's responded quickly and locksmith Bob was knowledgeable and friendly. Thanks!

Jon was here today to help me with my mailbox lock and my front door lock. I couldn't be happier with the work he did! He understood the problem, got right to work, was super friendly, and fixed both locks. I will definitely call them again the next time we need something fixed or replaced. Thank you! read more

I've only gone in for key work, but every time I've been in, for years, they have been excellent.

I had a bad experience firing an employee and needed my lock changed asap. John met me at my office at 9:15 pm, after he was getting ready to go to bed, just to take care of the office. In 30 min, he had the office rekeyed, all of the while being professional, pleasant and courteous. I highly recommend!!! great service! Didn't even charge extra for the after hours call!! read more

Got a key that didn't work asked if it could be fixed and given a refund after paying simply $5 and they refused. Horrible customer service.

I have used the key services twice recently, once for myself, and once for a client. In both cases the service was professional and prompt. I will recommend Lee's Lock & Safe to all of my friends and clients. read more

These guys are TOP SHELF. Honest, reliable, proficient in their trade ... they also go the extra step to help fix problems. 5pm on a Friday, and you can't close your safe? They care more about your safety and security than they do about punching the clock and going home. I can't recommend these guys ENOUGH. read more

Really bad customer service. I called to ask if they carried a certain blank for my key and the guy said he had no clue and I would have to drive down for him to see if they even had it. Makes me think they don't have a very organized system. Woud HIGHLY reccomend finding someone else. read more

Great experience with Lee's...very responsive from email request through installation. Highly recommended!

Great service at my home. Needed to have a lock fixed as it was not closing properly. Tech came out quickly fixed the problem and rekeyed a door where we had lost the keys. Lee's exceeded expectations and went above and beyond in their visit out to my home yesterday. It was clear it wasn't about the service fee, it was about making you feel safe in your home and confident about their quality. I can not put words to how grateful I was for the thoughtful and informed advice. It was obvious that he genuinely cared and that makes all the difference. They advised me on how to make our door more stable and secure and gave insights from sessions they have at Lee's when ex-convicts come in to share their secrets and tendencies when entering a home. I found him extremely knowledgable and exceedingly helpful. Thank you thank you Lee's!!! read more

Terrific service . . . from the time I handed my key over to make a spare until I was handed my change took less than 1 minute. I will never go to the hardware store for keys again! One late afternoon my teenage son had dislodged a part in the handle to open our front door. We arrived at Lee's Lock & Safe at closing time with the entire assembly of our front door in hand. Luckily, we caught all of their employees at this place of business before they all departed home. They all gathered around, inspected the part, disassembled the mechanism and placed the loose dislodged part back in place - FREE OF CHARGE! Because of the age and type of door hardware that we had, the most experienced of the gentlemen had mentioned that this type of hardware is over 30yrs old and not manufactured anymore. I was very impressed by their skilled professionalism and customer service given. I would highly recommend these guys and I'll be definitely back. read more

I recently to have our house re-keyed. I've had very good experience in the past with Lee's Lock & Safe, so I called them again. They had a technician to the house within half an hour, he re-keyed all seven locks, made the new keys and tested them on all the doors. He gave a reasonable estimate up front, was very courteous and professional and was finished in about an hour. They are the only company I will ever call for a locksmith or security system!
