One of the more recent times I boarded there, I damn near missed my train because it was on the opposite side of the platform. Thankfully, they were offloading a passenger in a wheelchair which gave me and two other passengers time to haul ass across the building to make it to the train on time. There's a TV there that VRE uses for their arrivals/departures, so I'm surprised Amtrak doesn't have that info on the screen as well. Hopefully soon, Amtrak will start serving the newly-built Spotsylvania station which VRE also uses, that would be a hell of a lot more convenient.

The folks at the station are really kind too. They've given my kids little train whistles in the past and it's always lovely to hear their interactions with travelers. I'll add that it's great that they built that overpass walkway where you can now park your cars on the other side for that much more convenience to accessing the train station. It was much needed!
