My first visit. Got a #2 pedicure. The technician did a great job and I enjoyed to foot and leg massage so much. I will visit again.

My pedicure was excellent. The technician took his time, and did a great job. My problem with this salon was that it was dirty. It really needs a thorough cleaning. The final straw was when I was sitting and letting my polish dry. A HUGE cockroach ran past my foot. I should have said something to the technician, but I needed to leave, and I just wanted to avoid the drama. I will not be returning to Lee Spa Nails. read more

If I could give this place a -10 I would. I had some time to burn so I decided to get my nails done. They weren't rude, just not overly friendly which doesn't bother me if your service is good. BUT the service is the absolute worst. I have never had a nail service this bad. My issue with this place is the bare basics are bad. Went in for a pedicure. Due to disability I can't stand to get into the chair. So I slid on a board, I brought it with me. The person who was going to do the pedicure helped me getting into the chair. As did others working there came over to see if I needed additional help. They didn't have any problem with a wheelchair. The pedicure was wonderful. Just what I needed. Very relaxing. It was $30. For the basic pedicure. And that was perfect. They do offer a more expensive pedicure. I did not have a great experience. I got gel nails and a few things went wrong. My nails were filed down so so much, they painted the wrong nail polish color, and the skin around my nails does not like great. There are bumps that look like grains on some of my nails. In the photo, you can see my pinky nail was filed so it is slanted. I'm also not the one to wear pink nail polish and so this was not what I wanted as I chose more of a light grey.Some skin around my nail was cut too much so it stings. Went here this morning with my sister, it was a bit crowded and no one greeted us when we walked in. They finally asked us what we needed done, and we waited about 20 more minutes before we were seen. Overall I am very pleased with my nails although, one was left pretty chunky. I needed a fill in with two nail repairs & Gel Polish it totaled out to be $32. My sister was disappointed with her nails . Her nails were left very chunky. She only needed gel polish on her natural nails. The paint was too chunky and way too much. Her nails were $17. Mine are the light pink and hers are the dark pink. read more

You know what.....I like this place. I had to give them another try before I posted a review just to be safe. I've gotten two pedicures and two acrylic fills here. Everyone working here is really friendly. They always seem really busy but manage to get me in right away. They've done a nice job with all the services I've received thus far. Their prices are fair, although not the cheapest- I'm willing to pay for the service. Actually, one of the techs was telling me she bought some yarn and on her down time she is knitting 60 scarves and hats for those dealing with homelessness. I appreciate good people and that's fine good person. Just two negatives though: They need to sweep and clean up more often. It doesn't help that the place is so cluttered, but it could at least be better kept to help balance everything out. And the fans in the drying station are broken- Please replace it! read more

I have been going to this location for quite a few months now and I'm glad I actually gave them a chance. My usual nail salon is a bit of a drive so I was looking for a place a little closer to home. I will say the salon is small so please don't come thinking wine is served with plenty of move around room. I would say that's my biggest qualm. When everyone is in their chairs it's almost impossible to move around, I have to squeeze everything in to be sure I don't hit anyone trying to get to my station. I will say they have an amazing selection of colors. I am always a bit overwhelmed about selecting a color but the final result is always beautiful. I always opt for a gel nail and the application is always smooth and enjoyable. I am a boy mom so durability and longevity is a must and they have never failed! Overall, the atom sphere is relaxing and the nail technicians do an amazing job at masking sure everything is done to perfection! I have gotten my eyebrows done once there, it as nice but I think I will make the drive to my usual place. If you are looking for a nail salon and are close to the area be sure to give them a try, you won't be disappointed! read more

Horrible Customer Service! The manager is rude to customers and a tall man that did my pedicure smelled of alcohol and was drunk! Before he finished my pedicure they had another nail tech that was literally painting my skin! I complained and she told me it was too late to change it so then after I insisted the drunk man finished the job! My DIP polish started cracking the next day so by the 4th day I went back and requested they do them all over. They would only redo the 6 that were cracked. And the next day another one cracked and then another. So I took my business elsewhere! If you want a good nail salon that treats you with respect especially if you went $100 every two weeks for your Medicare/pedicure with tips and I always tip my nail techs $10-20 at least! If you live on the East end of Henrico unfortunately a lot of the nails salons do not value your business. Go to Pure Nails I'm the West end or Elegant Nails in Chester!!! They were oretty good, but had some things happening that annonyed me, so i went to another one.. And they were jorrible.. So.. Today.. It was back to Lee Nails.. And I have to say.. I was a little iffy going to this place after my regular place had a long wait. I'm glad I came. My nail tech was the bomb. It's a cluttered and seems as if there isn't a lot of space in there. There are a lot of men that work in there which I notice they take more time to do the nails. My experience there was great. It took no time for me to be seated. I usually get the gel nails because they last longer. They are a little bit more pricey than I'm used to but they don't damage your nail with that buffer they use. I've been visiting this place occasionally since I've moved to Richmond VA about 7 yrs ago. There are at least two people that always do an excellent job on my nails each time. And it always seems like the mail technicians do a better job than the females. I've always had a good experience but when it's time to get a fill in, there never seems to be enough acrylic on them because they're really thin and at least one of them always comes off because of this. I'm actually going there today so I'll be sure to let them know to not file my nails so far down so they won't break off when they start to grow. Waayyyy too expensive for the service provided. My daughter and I both wanted mani and pedi. Service #2 was ordered. I wanted gel polish, my daughter, regular polish. Utensils used were not sterilized and fresh and everything was coated with dust, nail clippings and filings. The "technician" that did my daughters pedicure made her bleed. She didn't put any antiseptic on her toe. Just told her it was ok and continued to paint her nail. My daughter had a paraffin wax wrap on her hands and it burned her. I found this out after we had already left. I ordered the same service for both of us but I didn't even receive a wax treatment for my hands. The services for my 10 year old daughter for a regular mani/pedi--non gel polish cost more than the service for my gel mani/pedi. All in all my total cost for us was 125.00. This was insane!!! Now 5 days later, my daughter has half of her polish that has peeled off and on my gel manicure, 4 of my nails have started to peel and chip. Do Not Go to this place!!!!!! read more

Nail job came out great, first time here and i was hesitant. They were the only place I could find that was open after the snow storm. They took me right before closing for a simple fill in, technician was a friendly male. Why does it seem like nail salons always have the best and worst ratings you have to dig through??? I took a break from packing my house up to make a target stop and to get my nails done. I live not too far from White Oak shopping center and have passed by Lee Spa many times. The reviews were mixed but I went for it. It was a little tight and cluttered but clean nonetheless, I was immediately seated and taken care of. I didn't catch the woman's name who did my full acrylic set but I sat at seat 10. She was quiet, efficient and paid so much attention to detail! No rushing at all, got the length and shape of the nail PERFECTLY. She even went back with the acrylic brush and grinder thingy to make sure the nails weren't too thick or claw-like. I got a gel polish called "Blue Bell", which she told me would cost a little extra but for my full set and polish it only cost me $37. Great price, and I'm so impressed with how my nails look. read more

I had been researching for a new place closer to my home to get my nails done. After researching many places i decided to try out lee's because they had more positive reviews than most of the other nail salons I researched. This is my second time going to lee's and i really like them! The first time i went they were slammed but they still got me in almost right away. Today i went in shortly after they opened so i didn't have to wait at all. My nail tech was really sweet and friendly. I originally chose a color for my gel manicure that was a very light pink and it was going to unfortunately show my real nails underneath which I didn't want. She advised me of this right away and asked if i wanted to pick a new color. I did and she came back and placed most of the pink selection in front of me. I picked another color and they look great! It wasn't the color i had in mind going in but it still looks beautiful! She did a great job and was very friendly. I would recommend this salon to anyone in this area. Ive been to other salons around the east end and the quality was no where near what I've experienced at lees. The only cons are the place is a little cramped but i still always enjoy my experience when i go. If you don't wanna go during a busy time I recommend looking them up on google and picking a day of the week. Thats what i did, and they have a chart showing how busy they are at certain times. I definitely will be returning! I believe my nail technician's name was Nikki, she told me that her husband is the one who runs the front desk. She did a great job and was very cute and friendly. If you're debating on whether to try this place out give it a try! They are wonderful, and their products last, my first gel i got i wore for 3 weeks and it never chipped. This place is overpriced and overrated! You are only paying for the atomosphere and its cluttered if you ask me. I had gotten a french manicure and after 2 days the polish was chipping. I paid $49 for a french manicure and pedicure only because my friend was getting married and requested the bridal party to get it. I did not expect the polish to chip after 2 days for the price I paid. I will not be back. As they say you get what you paid for but you get cheap products for the price of expensive ones. I've gotten a pedicure here twice. Both times they had me pretty much in and out in about an hour -- I've never had to wait -- without sacrificing service. Like the above commenter, they don't talk you to death, which I also like. I'm there for relaxation. Not for chatter. The only thing I will warn against is going on Saturday mornings, which is what I did this morning. It's like a sweatshop. I didn't even get a chance to let my feet fully dry before the lady in the front had given my seat up to another patron. It's a tight little place with about 10 pedicure chairs..so definitely pick a day that's an inconvenience to others. lol read more

I was extremely pleased with the look of my very first gel manicure I received on Wednesday 5/2 and even more pleased to hear how long it would last without chipping or dulling. Now I'm not so happy. Sunday evening, after only 4 days two of my nails are chipped. I called the salon & the young lady offered to make the repairs free of charge because I had just gotten then done on 5/2. She then said that the polish is guaranteed for 14 days but the salon cannot guarantee no chips after a week because they don't know what their customers do with their hands. I'm sorry but there cannot be a double standard to the guarantee. Luckily I'm within the window of time for these 2 nails but if any other nails chip after Wednesday I'm just out of luck. I have never heard of such a thing... A gel manicure is much more expensive than a regular manicure but the results I have right now are those of a regular polish not the guarantee of a gel polish/shellac. I paid the upcharge for the 14 day guarantee...a guarantee the salon does not uphold. By the way, I have very short nails and I work in an office. I do not do any work that would put stress on my fingers. The most "work" my hands see are a few dishes at home and I didn't do anything over the weekend to cause the chipping. My friends had great results and their manicures lasted well beyond the 14 day guarantee. However, none of them received their manicures from this salon so either the product used on my nails was not of value or the product was not applied properly. The technician was very nice but when they filled the tub for my pedicure there was dirt and a nasty old nail floating in it. I made them empty it and clean the tub with me watching and then fill it up again. Then there was a bug crawling near my purse so I told the technician and she killed it. I noticed the floor was very nasty, it needed to be sweep and mopped! There were gnats and flys all around. I paid 32 bucks and left a 5 dollar tip. I don't recommend this place at all. I just moved to the area and have tried a few spots over the past month (this was my third and least favorite in life) Not only is it one of the DIRTIEST salons I've seen but the tech I got spent more time joking with his co-worker and checking his phone than taking care of his customer. I am a VERY patient person, especially when it comes to the service industry, and it took everything I had not to get up and leave. I should have though, because in between breaks on his cell, my fingers were sitting in a bowl of acetone for about 5-10 mins which is a HUGE no no when it comes to removing gel manicures. Some GORY vampire/zombie show was on repeat (that was convenient, so that when I wanted to look away from my tech eating and texting, I could look up and see people being chased, stabbed and bitten by vampires) cool...it gets better. I saw a nail buffer on the floor - the buffer was dirty - and was picked up off the floor and put away in a bin. yum. Meanwhile my tech would leave off and on, stay long enough to check, scrape, soak, leave, check, eat, chat, scrape, soak in acetone....ouch. I can't even explain the feeling when my fingers came out of the bowl. Then, he squirts cuticle lotion in bags, places my hands in the bags, and then in warm oven mitts. After about 5 mins (and another snack for my tech) he takes my hands out and wipes them with a towel. It was disgusting. Didn't even tell me at that point to wash my hands. I Didn't get a massage out of it not once. The manicure all together was 30.00 and lasted two days before it started chipping again. Thanks to the acetone treatment, its taken a few of my nails a much longer time to grow properly. They've been thin every since. Take my advice and go to Sassie's in Mechanicsville. Its CLEAN. Quiet. the people are FRIENDLY it's Inexpensive and worth it. That's the best place I've been to so far and I'm going back there from now on. read more

My pedicure got messed up so I went back to get it fixed and the lady kept arguing about how it was my fault in front of the entire salon. She was very rude from the start which I don't take to well. Service here was... odd. No real communication at all, no front desk, though I was seated quickly. Very cluttered and dirty atmosphere. Technician spoke no English, and even though I asked for a regular pedicure, she gave me the more expensive spa pedicure. Since it was my first time here, I did not know that she was doing anything extra (frankly I was surprised that a regular pedi was so limited, nevermind a spa one!). After taking the wraps off my feet and giving me a 15-second leg massage she started spraying the sink w/ cleaner and scrubbing it right under my legs! What!? Anyways, she did a good job on my toenails/feet. I was planning to get a mani also but decided not to after the odd pedi experience. They accept credit cards but tips must be in cash.
