Daphe helped us to find a suitable multi-featured tub, and Rodney not only did the installation but also made other improvements that we negotiated separately. Rodney is a friendly neighborhood professional who was upfront and helped us through unexpected problems like widening the doorway and troubleshooting potential drain issues. If I could give no stars, I would. After spending a lot of money on countertops, Granite Guys…read moreinstalled them, but didn't properly fabricate or seal them. Pencil marks on the stone, chips, rough edges, etching - it was bad. Getting them back out was like pulling teeth & their "solution" made the problem worse. We had a stone expert out who verified that the stone was improperly fabricated & the cost to restore it was just as much as the actual cost of the stone itself. GG took no responsibilty. They also sold us a piece of quartzite that was honed & assured us that they could restore it to a factory polished finish to match the stone we previously purchased. What they installed was neither honed, nor polished, but a bad cross of the two. Our expert informed us that once honed, the stone could never be restored to a factory polish & had been overworked, the crystalline structure damaged & the veins opened. GG did not stand by their lack of knowledge, but only offered to have US purchase another slab which they'd fabricate for free. The costs incurred to remove the fixtures, repair tiles, repaint, etc. were on us as well. What a complete and total lack of knowledge, professionalism and integrity. DO NOT USE GRANITE GUYS! They might have been good prior to 2025 according to the other reviews, but as of 2026, I'd avoid them at all costs!

If anything, they need to be give an award for their unending patience with us. Our project had two phases. The first was for the kitchen countertops and then the next was the fireplace. I also liked their very clear procedures. Once the stone is cut, it's cut. Therefore, I absolutely appreciated their procedures and making it very clear what we were to expect in terms of outcomes. Some other granite place in Columbia gave us a lecture on what modern design is when they got it totally wrong and cut the stone wrong. In the end, it's about what the client wants and not what the seller wants. You get that type of respect form Distinctive Surfaces. On top of that, their pricing is reasonable and at par or better than other places in Columbia and believe me that we looked at a lot of places. If I had known what we would experience with that other granite place, we would have bought everything from Distinctive Surfaces.

Cost to overlay their poly mix onto your current countertop is as much as getting granite installed. And a final PS: I hate that stupid woman in your commercials who hawks Magnolia's, this dump and some local tv show. She's also straight out of 1950.
