I went here based on the other review posted. I've been going off and on to another salon and experimenting with other places around Tallahassee. They all seem to be either too expensive or lacking in the kind of quality services that I look for in a nail salon. So here was my experience today: As the other reviewer said, you can tell they invest their money back into their business. My biggest concern was the location of the salon, in the KMart shopping plaza across from Governor's Square mall. I'm assuming that what they save on rent expenses they pass on to the customer in terms of services and lower prices. When you walk in you sign in on an iPad - a first for me at any level salon, and convenient. Each pedicure station has a small netbook which I didn't use but presumably you can easily surf the internet to pass your time. The massasge chairs were high quality - not old and beat up like you sometimes see and the various functions all seemed to work. There were also several flat screen TVs set up around the (relatively) small salon space. The decor is pretty traditional - kitschy and cheapy looking, but everything seemed clean and well taken care of, like the owners clearly take pride in their business. My nail technician did a good job on my pedi, the paint was clean and she didn't have to spend 5 minutes cleaning it up like other places do because they are sloppy with the paint. She also gave me a full set of pink and white acrylics and an eyebrow wax. I really appreciated how she took a long time with my nails and put in a lot of attention to their finished look. They are thin, a perfect length, nicely rounded like I asked, and about as natural as fake nails can look. I also got to choose between having them gel coated or buffed, another first. Usually the salon picks a treatment for you and you're stuck with whatever they prefer (ie: the cheapest treatment). The prices were about average from what I've experienced: $27 for a pedicure, $48 for a full set of pink and whites, and $11 for the brow wax. But it's the extras (complimentary beer, wine, or soda with service; quality equipment/chairs/technology) that will keep my business with them. read more

I wish this salon was located in my town. They have iPads at each pedicure station- something I've never seen before. There's a large color selection and the services are fair and affordable. If I were to stay in Tallahassee a little longer I'd definitely come back read more

A couple of new businesses recently added to the strip mall have made this location much less sketchy. I had an outstanding walk-in pedicure much better and cheaper than the place I used to go to. The iPads are nice, but don't be deceived. High tech while you're having a pedicure doesn't make up for woefully low tech in what should be salon basics. Instead of 21st century UV drying equipment, there are ineffective little personal fans for drying pedicures. The paint is peeling on the hand dryers that look about 40 years old. Another problem is the low lighting. It's relaxing, but when you walk outside into the sunlight, the color looks different than it did in the salon. Buyer beware. read more

For a place that looks unremarkable on the outside, I was pleasantly surprised by the soothing interior. Hien Thai Chau, my manicurist and eyebrow waxer, was such a pleasure - initially I picked out a gold color for my nails, then saw the French manicure on her left hand and asked for the price ($34, compared to the regular manicure $23). As she worked on the filing, massaging, and trimming of my cuticles, I decided to go for the French manicure. A week later, my nails still look terrific. Additionally, Hien Thai was so sweet when I flinched from the first eyebrow being waxed - "sorry, sorry!" she said, though no apologies were necessary. I HIGHLY recommend this place - the free wine certainly pushes the whole experience over the edge :) read more

Worst nail salon in Tallahassee. I was new to Tallahassee when I went to this salon, and looked on the site to find a good one. I was unfortunately very much mislead by the reviews. First, let me say it is extremely overpriced. When you walk in you get blown away by the fancy decor, iPads at each seat, drinks, etc, but the service is below acceptable. I got a french manicure and pedicure and both were poorly done, not to mention both didn't last longer than 3 days. read more

Came in with my boyfriend last week on a Tuesday afternoon for a pedicure - place was empty so no wait for our appointment. The place is definitely a step up from your average nail salon - the massage chairs were great, ipads were a nice touch to play with, and there's that complimentary sutter wine or beer. The massage was AWESOME - a lot more involved than ones I've had in the past. Worth the price - we will absolutely be returning! read more

This was the worst nail experience of my life and I have been getting my nails done for 30 years. A friend said they were good and reasonably priced so I went on my lunch hour to get a fill. The woman who did my nails acted very put out like I was interrupting her...there was NO ONE else in the salon. For the first time ever, the electric buffer actually hurt my fingers...I think she was pressing down too hard. The cost was 25.00 which is NOT the least expensive manicure I have had. Wait time can be extensive if you go on Weekends. A bit pricey. The staff is friendly. The color selection is nice if you like red. The facility is beautiful. The parking is GREAT. They have ipads for you to play with and you even get a mini massage when you get your nail color changed. The eyebrow waxing is probably the best in town. I went to Lee Nails today to get a Pink and White fill. The male nail technician told me that he thought only 2 of my nails needed a white fill, not all 10 nails so "I don't know what you want me to do." I told him, whether he thought I needed it or not, I'd like both pink and whites filled. He told me he would fill the two he thought needed it (to match the other nails) and the rest he would just fill pink. When we got to the front to pay, the man tried to charge me the full $30 for a PINK AND WHITE fill!!! Not to mention that neither nail matched the other nails and one was completely lopsided!!!! I had to argue with him about why I shouldn't pay for a full pink and white fill when he downright refused to provide the service, and the service he did provide was less than acceptable! I will never go back, on the simple principle that it was obvious he didn't want to provide the service yet still thought he could charge for it!! read more

I will NOT be going here! I found Lee Nail's listed as a top salon on this website, called to make an appointment after reading such great reviews, and the woman told me the gel manicure was $35, even though their menu listed it as $30. I politely told her it was listed as $30 on this webpage and asked if this was the correct price, and she was very rude and short with me and said, "No, gel is $35," and then hung up on me! I couldn't believe it. I called back and she was so rude when she answered the phone and just said, "Gel nails $30" and hung up again. I have never been rude to anyone on the phone before and couldn't understand why she was so rude to me, as I am a potential customer. I will NOT be going here ever after the way she treated me on the phone, not once, but TWICE! That is NOT good customer service and completely uncalled for! Very disappointed, as I was so excited to try this place out. :( read more
