This is my first time going to the Jiffy Lube on Shillington Rd (Sinking Spring PA). I know that…read moreeach Jiffy Lube is an individually-owned franchise, but there really should be a standard of professionalism and service across the board. I've used Jiffy Lube for the better part of 15 years in the DMV, Miami, Boston, and Philadelphia. This is by far the worst experience that I've ever had within one of their establishments. The customer service was appalling, and I operate in a customer service business, so I know the importance of being able to relay information and temper your personal feelings. I initially came there for an oil change and inspection for one car (car-1) as well as an inspection only for the second car (car-2). We decided to do the inspection of the car-2 first and in that process, I was told that my relatively new windshield wipers (purchased 8 months prior) needed to be replaced because "windshield wipers are only good for five months." They informed me that there were two streaks on my window after using the blades. Based off of the state requirements, I asked the employee if the streak was still present after 5 cycles, based on state requirements. He ignored that statement and replied that "Streaks are not safe for the road, and we're going to have to fail your inspection. We do have wiper blades that you can purchase. The cheapest is $19.99 each." I asked if I could bring in wiper blades at the same price but higher quality, and they informed me that they cannot wait for any length of time. If I were to bring in wiper blazes, they would fail the inspection and I could wait at the back of the line to be reconsidered for later today. At that point, I accepted the overcharge and paid my tab of $191 for state inspection. Of course, I did not have car-1 inspected at this place. I believe the $191 cost was a discount because it saved me future money being spent on this establishment. I do not recommend this location to anyone.

Our one…read morecar needed the brake fluid topped off, and since it was just about time to get the oil changed, we thought that maybe Jiffy Lube could do both. My husband called the Jiffy Lube in Sinking Spring and could not get a hold of a human to ask about the brake fluid service. What he did get was an AI bot who would answer any questions that he had. He asked the AI bot if that location would be able to top off the brake fluid and the bot said yes. When I took our car in for the service, I was told that they do not top off the brake fluid, but I could pay $149 for a brake fluid flush, which I declined. I suggested that they talk to their general manager about their AI program, but they said that he would not be able to do anything. I left with only the oil changed. My husband called later to complain to the manager, and asked for the name of someone who was higher than him and the manager replied "God". Needless to say, we will not be returning to this or any other Jiffy Lube locations for our oil changes.

Staff: the employee working the counter was very friendly and promptly greeted me as I walked into the service center. Service: I arrived with my Jeep ready for the oil change five minutes early to my appointment - it was taken right in and they had the service complete within 20 minutes give or take. The only thing that prevented me from giving 5/5 stars was the condition of the waiting area. It smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. The floors, seating, even walls were dirty. There were spiders (some dead, some not) just dangling from the wall to the seat right next to me. Being 6 months pregnant, I really didn't want to sit in the room with such a strong cigarette odor.

I ended up needing 4 new tires and an oil change, which I agreed to. A few weeks later, I identified a discrepancy that may have been related to my experience when getting my car worked on. I called to speak with the owner, Ron, and explain to him my thoughts. Ron was very defensive and did not let me explain my belief or situation at hand. As an owner of a company, the professional approach would have been to at least hear the customer out. Fast forward to 2 months later, I started to hear a rumbling noise in my car when I accelerated. I took it to my dealership and they informed me that there is a flat spot on my tire which can happen during manufacturing. They also noticed weights were added to that specific tire to balance it. I was recommended to go back to Meineke, where my tires were just replaced, and have the tire replaced under my warranty. I did not personally call because of my past experience with the owner, so my dad called for me the next day. He spoke with Ron who was very unprofessional in his demeanor. He refused to believe it was due to manufacturing and gave multiple excuses for why he will not replace it before even seeing the tire. My dad tried to be professional and make an appointment for them to at least see the tire. Ron said "drop it off and I will look at it". This will not be happening and I will be taking my service elsewhere.

PLEASE READ BEFORE GOING TO THIS LOCATION…read more Purchased four new WeatherReady 2 tires for $1400 to have them installed. Before leaving, I did not check to make sure my tires were on the correct way (because one would assume your tires would be put on the correct way?). The next day I realized that these directional tires were ALL PUT ON BACKWARDS. I returned to the shop who confirmed the tires were all on backwards. Manager stated he was going to "beat the guy who did this." They were able to place the four tires on the correct way within the hour. Nonetheless, this is not a mistake I would expect any reputable tire center to make, as having four directional tires placed on backwards is a major safety risk in winter weather. I took my car for a state inspection the next day, and was notified by the inspector that there is damage to the inside of all four of my cars rims. The damage can be clearly seen on one of the tires in the video attached to the review. I returned to the shop to show them the video and let them know about the damage. They informed me "that type of damage is normal, it's from the wheel clamps that we use." After coming back a second time to have the manager review the damages (after he did not show up for the initial appointment I scheduled) he confirmed that one of the rims did have damage that was excessive. The other three tires have pin marks from the wheel clamp that he would consider normal (please see attached photo of "normal" damage to tires that happens to all tires changed at the shop) He offered to have the one damaged rim repaired as a solution. I was told I could drop the vehicle off at 8am and the fix would only take two hours. After not hearing anything by 12pm, I called for an update and was notified that it would not be completed until 4pm. Unfortunately I was not able to go to work this day because of the delay. In the end, the repair was completed by 530pm. All this said, I paid $1400 for four backwards tires, one damaged rim (now I have a refurbished rim), three rims with pin marks in the rim, over 5 trips to the shop, and a missed day of work. This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had with an automobile business and would strongly advise anyone considering going here to go to another shop.

I called this Mavis location (Sinking Spring, PA), and they told me to bring the car over. They got me in almost immediately, removed the damaged piece so I could safely drive the car, and explained exactly what I needed to do to get it properly repaired. When I asked how much I owed, they told me there was no charge. What they probably saw as a quick favor was a huge act of kindness to me. Life has been throwing a lot at me lately, and they took this problem that could have been the last straw for me, and they made it disappear. They were patient, helpful, professional, and genuinely kind. Customer service is one thing. Human kindness is another. Yesterday, this team gave me both, and I am incredibly grateful. Thank you for helping me when I really needed it. I'll remember it for a long time.

This was just 2 hours after they set up appt on phone. A simple call to reschedule would be warranted for customer service - but this did not happen. After one hour of waiting I approached manager to find out it would be at least another hour. They are back to their old management style - no customer support. I spent nearly four hours of my time trying to get a simple service and paid for gas on two trips to shop only to walk out with NO SERVICE!
