I've had serious concerns about this shop's integrity. They tried to hold my safety inspection sticker hostage unless I agreed to nearly $800 in repairs. Once customer received their car, they did not have it for one week and now they have a major oil leak. When customer reached out they told them to bring car to them and it would cost an additional $2000 to fix the leak. Now, in 3 months you never noticed a major leak! This shop is trying to take as much money from people as possible! You did not fix the car you caused more problems and tried to charge for it! You should be ashamed of yourself! I would NEVER recommend your shop to anyone! What I will do is warn everyone of your shop! Today I took my car to another and guess what it not going to take $2000 to fix it! read more

PLEASE DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE! The employees at this auto shop will try to take advantage of you in your time of need with smiles on their faces and christian music playing in the background. All while swearing that their recommendations are not an attempt at a price grab. Auto Pro tried to make me purchase a new brake master cylinder for my SUV because they could not get pressure after bleeding the brakes. I would have spent $525.00 for parts and labor. Mind you, this was after already spending $601.21 to have my front brakes replaced at their shop earlier that day. I brought my 2007 Chrysler Aspen to Auto Pro to have the front brakes replaced. I knew that my car was in desperate need of repair as I had already taken the car previously to Mavis. Auto Pro allowed me to supply the auto parts (brake pads, rotors, and calipers) needed for the job; which was a tremendous help financially. That was the only good thing about my experience with this auto shop. Upon dropping my car off for a brake inspection, I was notified that the repairs that needed to be done were more extensive that I had originally expected. On top of having to replace the brake pads, rotors and front driver caliper; Alex informed me that he would need to also replace a front brake line and bleed the brake system. I was quoted $601.21 for all of the repairs. I agreed to the necessary work and was told that my car would be ready for pick up by the end of the business day. I was then called a couple of hours later and informed that a brake line would need to be ordered and wouldn't arrive until the following day. As my car was already at the shop and not drivable; I had no choice but to accept the delay. The following day after completing the work agreed upon; I was informed by Chad and Alex that my car still had a brake issue and that they suggest that the brake master cylinder be replaced. Chad told me that they were not sure if that was even the problem; and that maybe we would "get lucky." I didn't feel comfortable with Alex working on my car any further. So, I paid for the repairs already completed and then took my car to Pep Boys of Reading; where wouldn't you know, the brake issue was resolved in a couple of hours. Pep Boys did not have to replace the master cylinder. Due to Alex's incompetence at Auto Pro, the brakes were bled incorrectly; which led to air being trapped in the front brake line. I had to pay $75 to have the job done correctly. It is an absolute shame that I had to take my car somewhere else due to Auto Pro's dishonest business practices. They attempted to prey on my desperate need for assistance with my car and should be ashamed of themselves. I will never do business with them again and will be sure to let everyone know of their incompetence and dishonesty. Shame on you all at Auto Pro. read more

I know I needed new rotors, but wasn't sure if it was front, back or both. I asked that they check and let me know what was needed. They called me back after looking and said I needed all 4 and they found a nail in the tire wall. They could leave the nail or take it out, if it was leaking I would need a new tire. I decided to pick my car up and try somewhere else. I took it to a shop and was told I only needed front rotors and the nail was not in the wall, it was able to be patched. Needless to say, I paid almost exactly 1/4 of the price and will not be returning. read more

Honest Auto repair shops are always hard to find. Auto Pro is not only honest, but they do an outstanding job of follow up and keeping in touch even after the repairs. They are always concerned that they did a good job on my cars! Excellent work, and reasonable prices for parts and labor are a hallmark of Auto Pro. This is a family run business, and it really shows. I even have them evaluate potential used car purchases, to make sure I don't buy someone else's problems. Very dissapointed!!! One nice person lured me to getting a state inspection here at a cost of only around $40 and then another employee ruined and down graded the whole business and experience!!! I believe it was the owner of the company that ruined it??? What a shame!!! I was totally shocked at the $300 estimate for a muffler!!! I guess that explains the cheap inspection cost!!! I could have bought my own muffler for $40 and paid the labor of $80 to have someone weld it in!!! That's less than half of what Auto Pro wanted to charge me!!! Ludicrous!!!!! I gave my business to another local shop and left with only $140+ tax being paid!!! I saw another review after my experience and another woman received a similar situation!!! I was there on Weds. 12-8-21 because I discovered my left rear tire was going flat. I had them look at, also had inspection due for Dec. I asked the man at the desk to check what 4 new tires would be . He told me my tires were rare, also covid made them rarer and hard to get. He quoted me a price of 900 dollars for the four. I declined, they did fill my tire with air so that my car would be driveable. I went on line as soon as I got home, I found those (rare) tires in stock at numerous tire shops, and was able to buy four for 450 dollars. Half price what I was quoted. If you are going to gouge at least make the cost acceptable. I don't think I will ever visit this shop again. read more

Auto Pro is a family business with friendly staff. That is the kind of business that I like to support as much as possible. Unfortunately, their high prices make that just not a possibility. We've used them for a few things over the past 3 years and the work is typically well done. The downside is that their prices are about on par with dealership prices. Over 4 cars and roughly 10 services in the past 3 years, they are routinely the most expensive of the local shops by a significant margin. Any time they are competitive, we have used them. The upside to their service is that they are accommodating and timely. Their staff is friendly and their waiting area is very welcoming. They definitely do their best to make you feel well-taken-care-of. I also recommend their Winter Maintenance special with synthetic blend oil change for $32.95. They often try to add on or 'upsell' some services but not in any high-pressure way. If money is no object to you, I'd say go for it. For the bargain-conscious, I'd have to recommend shopping around. read more

Despite the glowing reviews for Auto Pro, I have had two consecutive negative experiences here. The first was about two years ago when my car needed repairs. I was initially quoted about $750.00 for repairs I knew the car needed, but some of which I was skeptical about. When I went to pick the car up, John (who is always nice), told me the price was only $450.00. When I inquired, he said he personally checked the supposed issues and they were actually fine. Because of this, I did not go back until this past week, when I needed a tire plug because of a screw. After the repair was made, I was told that while the tire was off, the mechanic noticed that my break pads were dangerously thin on all the wheels. In fact, I was told that it was "dire" and needed to be looked at "within the next few days." I was also told that there was another issue with the rotor not aligning properly with the break pad. This felt suspicious to me. I took my car into the dealership where I have always taken it, and they thoroughly inspected all the wheels, pads, and rotors, noting that there was dust build-up but no "dire" repairs needed. In fact, the 2 out of 10 break pad rating that AutoPro quoted me was rated at 8-10 by my dealership, a significant discrepancy. These two, consecutive instances of being told I needed repairs, which I actually did not need, have left me distrusting of this business. Either Auto Pro is unethical or just simply incompetent. read more

Went in for an inspection was told the bill would be $496. I was told the power steering line was spewing fluid everywhere, not true we checked there is no leakage. Was told the wiper blades were torn, again not true, ok they are not brand new but work fine with no safety issue. They only thing they were correct on was that my right front tire was in bad shape. I told them not to inspect it that I was on my way to pick it up and was hung up on. Seriously!!! I replaced my own tire and wiper blades, will take back to my old mechanic and will more than likely walk out with a $60 bill. 500??? Uh I maybe a woman BUT was not born yesterday. read more

My husband and I couldn't be happier with the service we recently received from Auto Pro. They discovered a coolant leak that my usual mechanic couldn't identify. We came to them desperate during their last open hour before a holiday weekend, understanding that we may have to wait through the weekend for a repair. To our surprise, they offered to complete the repair that very afternoon, let us pay by phone and pick up our vehicle later that night, and even drove us home. I've had a great experience with Auto Pro! They're truly awesome. They did an excellent job on my car several times and their prices are very reasonable and affordable. The people that work there are very kind, helpful, and honest. They offer loaner cars if you need to leave your car there for repair and have no other transportation......... although their waiting room is the nicest one I've ever seen at a car place, and I wouldn't mind waiting there! They go the extra mile in customer service and friendliest in that they send customers holiday cards in the mail, give kids lollipops, assist you in any way possible to make your experience a wonderful one, and do their absolute best to accommodate your schedule when it comes to repairing your car. I've honestly never had such a great experience with a car place before. They make it SO easy from the time you call them to the time you pick your car up.
