While I agree with the other reviews that Lee Lighting and it's parent company Progressive Lighting, offer a great selection, I would suggest that their showroom should be used as just such-- a showroom. Have a look, even ask them to provide spec sheets with all the details about the lighting you like and then go online to shop. Their prices are very high. We recently purchased several lights for our kitchen and dining room-- we bought with confidence, after all they were so sweet and they have a guarantee! They will match prices and even beat prices by 10%! How could we lose?! Well there's a catch. They actually only match those prices if you follow their precise process. What's worse, we've decided to not shop there ever again! And we have several more rooms to change out lighting. What a short-term way to do business.! One in which brick and mortar retailers are feeling the effects of and it will catch up with Lee Lighting too. What's the harm in, at the very least, in giving us a store credit for our future lighting needs, after all we spent nearly $4000 dollars?! Crazy decisions that seem to come from the top. Go there, choose your lighting and then go to Overstock.com, wayfair.com, or lampsplus.com. If we had done that we would have saved several hundred dollars (on the lighting) plus taxes. So. First let me say I am happy with our selections and price/value. What is not so pleasant here is the customer experience. Bought a large foyer unit and a dining room chandelier. The larger unit our electrician had to pick up. When he came out today to install he asked me if I knew the box had been opened. While it appeared-to be factory sealed, at some point it had to have " tampered" with. Either on manufacturing or wholesale or retail side but somewhere. The unit was unwrapped inside the box. Portions were assembled while mirrored portions were not bathe hardware bag was open and it spilled everywhere. And we were assured when ordering they include bulbs. The larger unit alone takes 18 bulbs!!! Needless to say no bulbs. The election and his helper and I went over the unit with a fine tooth comb and while someone did something with it there appears to be no damage. I decided to call the store not to complain but to explain the opened package situation and to see if they could fix the bulb issue. When I was first greeted on the phone I explained in detail the issues. Making sure they knew I was not unhappy at all with the unit. I just needed bulbs and while the item was not damaged I felt they should be aware someone had messed with the unit. The lady on the other end of the phone asked " I'm not sure what you want me to do" I explained again not a complaint but a heads up and his van we get the bulbs. She said they would have to be ordered from the warehouse and takes 2-3 days. I explained unfortunately that wouldn't work as my electrician was on a 30 foot ladder in my entrance way and was installing now. She says " So it's damaged and your letting him install it?" What part of the conversation did she miss?? I said again MO complaints but how can I fix the bulb issue before the electrician leaves. " Sir, did you look one box fir bulbs?" Well NO I never thought of that!!!! Yes mam three individuals searched the box no bulbs!!! Well again I can order you some. Me, " No thank you I'll take care of it. Please tell your manager your level of customer service and resolution skills are superior ( PLEASE NOTE SARCASM). And hung up. I proceeded to Lowe's to buy bulbs. At the checkout I get a call from Lee Lighting they miraculously now found all 18 bulbs. Really?? I said again thanks for your excellent service but I solved the problem myself. I'm not one to usually bitch and moan but when a retail establishment to serve consumers is so blatantly not interested in listening to the customer I feel people should know. Again we didn't buy the must expensive thing in the store but between both spent around 2,000 and another 450 for install. I don't think that's a bad amount and fir that amount spent I'd think we might have deserved a better and more thought out resolution. read more

Selection is wonderful! My suggestion would be go and look around by yourself, find what you like and go to a lighting store where staff is not pretentious and rude. I spent over $2000 here and was treated with utter disrespect. Everyone seems in a bad mood and bothered to do their jobs. My experience has been the same the three times I've been into the store and during the two pick ups I have done. I'm very happy with my lights but I would never shop here again and spend a dime supporting a business with such unsavory staff members. read more

If you are in the market for lamps or chandeliers then Lee Lighting is a must! I was very surprised they also have nightstands and dressers, outdoor furniture, mirrors and more! It is a bit overwhelming with the huge selection. The staff (especially Madeline!!) was super friendly and will help you find what you are looking for. The worst customer service! The sales people at both locations were very unprofessional. At the Pineville location the salesperson was unfriendly and only seemed to be at your side when it was time to ring up a purchase but couldn't be bothered to give you any information. In Huntersville the friendly salesperson gave me inaccurate information. When I tried to return an item because of being guided incorrectly it was as if I was dealing with a completely different person. They were not only not helpful but hurtful when making my purchase. Not to mention I could have purchased everything cheaper online. read more

We were ignored by the sales reps and when we finally got one persons attention, they were unpleasant and quickly walked away before we could finish our conversation.
