Dr. Clyde Lee is the most HONEST, trustworthy, clean, and professional dentist in DFW. My family and I will only go to him. Several years ago, I had gone to Dossett Dental in North Dallas for a routine checkup, and they lied to me, saying I had eight cavities. I was completely shocked and upset because I hadn't experienced any pain or problems. Also, I'm obsessive about oral hygiene - I brush my teeth after every meal (even on the go), own a Sonicare, and floss regularly. I had to save money to pay what they wanted to charge, and luckily, during that time I moved to Frisco. Needing a local dentist, I'm so grateful I found Dr. Lee. After examining my mouth, he told me I had ZERO cavities (not even potential ones) and told me my hygiene was spot-on. He even went over the X-rays to show me nothing was amiss. Now I was shocked I had been lied to by Dossett Dental to that extent! I have been with Dr. Lee for almost a decade now and, lo and behold - no problems, no cavities. He's happy to address your concerns but doesn't charge outrageously or try to sell you on anything. Also, the hygienist is very sweet and has a light touch. BEWARE!!! If you want to get ripped off, this is the place for you. Here's a quick little summary of my family's last visit. We got new insurance this year. I called the office to make sure they accepted our insurance, received the canned "yes we do" answer. But after having work done, they then realized that they're out of network. And the estimated insurance amount that they thought the insurance was going to pay was way off... So, guess who's on the hook for their miss calculation, me. They referenced the documents you sign when you sit in the chair that basically says if they miss calculate, you'll pay for it later. I was willing to pay half of the remaining bill. Basically, accepting half the blame for trusting them and they'd pay half for misleading me but the most they would discount is 30%... I explained that didn't seem fair and would write a review about this online, but Stefanie (office manager) didn't seem to care about the review and wanted the extra $189... Please know there are plenty of other dental offices out there. I highly recommend going with one that values your business and is willing to accurately estimate your insurance cost prior to having work done. read more

About a year ago I went to Dr Lee for a crown. When the permanent crow was received Dr Lee tried to apply it but it was too big. Dr Lee tried to force it in place and drilled what was left of my existing tooth down. Then Dr Lee used more force to place the crown. Finally, Dr Lee gave up and ordered another crown and on third re-order the crown fit. However, with all the force Dr Lee used I developed a very bad tooth ache for a few days. The tooth with the new crown and the tooth next it are still sore after a year. So am thinking this is a permanent problem for me. I cannot use that side of my mouth as before. read more

FOR SENIOR CITIZENS: I feel amiss in making this rating with all the positive reviews that I read here, although for those in search of a new dentist I would like to share our experience with the Lee clinic (similar to reviews here, on page 2). My wife, 86 years old, and I, 85 years old, have been patients of Lee Dental for some twenty years. In 2009 my wife had a front tooth filled by Dr. (Mr.) Lee. In January 2022 the filling became loose and had to be replaced, after some twelve years, so she goes back to the doctor for the filling. Before beginning the refilling an aid brought a "Treatment Proposal" of the cost and requested a signature prior to the filling. Since she had dental insurance the statement read, "Fee: $470.00, Prim (insurance) Pays: $175.00, You Pay: $295.00." Before signing I asked the aid if the proposal was correct, would it cost $470.00 to make the small filling in one tooth, and she said, yes. I mentioned that it was to replace a filling that Dr. Lee had made, and she said, yes. Since my wife was already in the dental chair I did not want to reschedule an appointment, so I signed the proposal and the doctor made the filling. While the doctor was making the filling, which took twenty minutes, I googled the Frisco average cost for a front tooth filling, and the cost ranged from $150.00 - $185.00. On the way home, we stopped at a well-known dental office to check their cost for a front tooth filling and was told $180.00, and with insurance, it would be less. My advice is, regardless of the dentist, CALL AND CHECK THE COST before making an appointment. read more

My entire family has been going to Lee Dental for the past 15 years. These are small business owners at heart who put 110% into the quality of their work with every single patient knowing that it will reflect directly back on them personally. You can't ask for more than that! The staff is always friendly and happy, the quality of work is excellent, and every process from scheduling to checking out is smooth and convenient. I never felt a need to take my kids to a pediatric dentist because they make kids feel special and comfortable without all of the gimmicks. By choice I have never once filed dental insurance because the prices on all of their services from cleanings to fillings and crowns are so reasonable. The hours are so flexible and with the addition of another dentist, it will be even easier to get just about any appointment time my family needs. I love this office! On a side note - I don't know how someone can give a one star review of a business they have never been to. That seems grossly unfair since the reviews should be about quality of a product or service and not based on gossip at a restaurant. read more

I had a temporary implant crack while I was visiting my good friend in Dallas. The tooth was jagged and sharp. Luckily Dr. Lee was able to see me and repaired it perfectly. But I couldn't believe it was how fair the price was I was very grateful. He was very efficient and very timely. The offices are very well organized and the staff is incredible. Be careful about doing business with Lee Dental. Our family started going there and we asked them up front if they took our Dental insurance. The told us "Oh Yes", and gave us a complete estimate of how much the insurance would pay and what our portion would be. "They work with Delta Dental all the time". We were given a treatment plan for which covered a 80/20 split per our insurance and broke out our expected cost and what the insurance would pay. Imagine our shock when we received their bill which looked nothing like the their estimate! They fooled us into believing they were part of the Delta Dental network when they are not! Sure they will bill Delta Dental but they turn around and bill you for everything the insurance doesn't cover. Which was huge compared to what I was supposed to pay - over half of the bill! They hid behind lies and double talk, such as your insurance doesn't cover anagram filings (only silver filings). And things like, sorry we are not part of the Delta Dental network, how are we supposed to know what they pay? Let me tell you how: Your supposed to tell me up front that your not part of the Delta Dental network when I ask if you take Delta Dental. You know full well what people mean when they ask that. Your know what each insurance company pays because you deal with them everyday when you are cheating people out of their hard earned money! read more

Dr. Clyde and Julie Lee have been my dentists for 15 years. My entire immediate family, innumerable friends, and most of my co-workers see them as well. I have never heard of or experienced anything less than THE BEST. Dr. Clyde has done my yearly routine check-ups, zoom, filled my cavities, removed teeth, and gave me a painless root canal. He has offered anesthesia and nitrous, and always gives painless numbing injections starting with a topical gel. On the technical side Dr. Lee is clean, professional, ETHICAL and an artist when it comes to (optional) cosmetics. He has always told me only what I NEED for my oral health. Only when I asked about cosmetics, did he offer options, and even then told me it wasn't necessary. His technology is always cutting edge; e-mail reminders, implants, lasers, digital x-rays etc. All standard precautions like hand washing, wearing gloves & face masks, sterilization, and cleaning are followed. You can even see their entire sterilization room as you walk to your room and watch their processing through a glass wall! Office hours, scheduling, and location are all convenient, less than a minute off the tollway, which is perfect for me. What other doctor can you go to on a last minute weekend, or holiday week! ..none. Before I decide to move forward with ANY treatment, an office assistant brings in a cost estimate and goes over it all with me. I can easily decide what I want to do then, or plan for the future. I have never been pressured or mis-lead! ...In regards to another review: you should pay attention and ask questions about procedures and payment if a $75 difference on an emergency saturday appointment is enough to give a Doctor a poor review. The office itself is beautifully designed. I always zone out looking at the salt water fish tank when I show up early. The rooms have floor to ceiling windows outlooking the sky and pond, which is incredibly relaxing for me. Having had previous negative experiences with dentists, this is a huge advantage for me! All of this, along with his layed back and friendly personality, I cannot imagine going anywhere else! read more

Went in for a crown. Had to make several visits back and forth between lee dental office and the office that actually creates the crowns (located in Richardson) because they could not get the shape/color right. By the way, the shades still not right and the crown sits lower than my other teeth. The crown has fallen out several times during the year and a half that I have had it. I have seen Dr.Lee a few times when this has happened and he just uses cement to stick it back in, which lasts about 3 months before crown falls out again. Very bad experience, would not recommend this office to anyone. With a new dentist now, had to have an implant and new crown since Dr. Lee did such a poor job. read more

Don't go here! Our family dentist was not open today (Saturday) and my son got a soccer ball to the mouth at his game & loosened his top tooth. Got a quote for an X-Ray for $25 and office visit for $45. Sounded quite reasonable since the other dentist I found that was open today quoted me $270. My husband took him and the bill was $141. The $25 X-Ray ended up being almost $100 because they did a "special kind". Didn't tell him they were going to do that, Typical bait-and-switch. read more
