It's the local place we want to love, but not after the way they treated us tonight. We dropped in on a Monday night to have dinner as a family, and it was super busy. Place was busy, so we know things are going to be moving a little slower. Ok. But we didn't expect to be ignored, and never approached, not once, after receiving our food for any service or any refill. We were in the restaurant for 45 minutes and never had a single drink refill. The waitress who served our table militantly ignored us and avoided eye contact. We finally got her attention to ask for the check which she brought, put on the table and then left without taking the card that my wife immediately set on it to pay our bill. A person can only take so much, so I went to the front to pay the bill at a different register instead of waiting and being ignored any longer. I asked if we could please be checked out there, because we had been ignored at our table and I didn't want to wait any longer. The waitress there began yelling to our server across the restaurant that we were upset and had been ignored and created a huge scene. I never raised my voice, not once. I didn't even raise my voice after she started yelling. The staff chose to rudely create a scene, I guess to try to humiliate us. I will never subject my family to that kind of treatment again. We've had very good experiences at this restaurant in the past, but I guess the moment they decide that they no longer want to be friendly and provide service, you're done. read more

Until today we would have given a 5 star rating. We were regular customers, eating food from Ledos in Bowie every week. Last week they forgot the croutons on my spinach salad. This week I ordered on line for pick up as usual. My husband waited a half hour after the designated time for pick up and they claimed there were no orders under his name. He came home very upset as he is 79 years old with a bad back. He checked the credit card and it was charged for the full amount. I sent him back and he told them the card was charged and told them the amount. So he waited some more. They totally ignored him. He came back home and is disputing the charge on his card. This is affecting his health. No one there showed no concern or tried to correct their error. Never again. Back to Dominos for us. Why would they act like this? read more

I ordered the personal pizza with extra sauce! It was soooo delicious and fresh! The sauce tasted like a recipe straight from Italy. The chicken and broccoli Alfredo was very tasty and the price was amazing for the amount served. The chicken and cheese were okay. The cheese was very thick but some prefer it that way. Been batttling diarrhea and had to go to my Dr. then finally to the E.R. to be thoroughly checked out. They told me I had Salmanella poisoning, and put me on two different antibiotics. We visit this place regularly and have always had a great experience. It is our Friday night go-to for an inexpensive dinner out. The pizza is fantastic and sometimes we've ordered sandwiches like the cheesesteak, chicken Parm, meatball sub, and salads. All have been very good. On top of that the staff is so friendly and have gotten to know us. We often run into neighbors and friends and so it can easily become a fun social event as we chat and catch up. read more

I hate to write this review, because I really like the pizza. But I just had the chicken sandwich lunch special, which the manager told me was so delicious. It Was probably one of the worst chicken sandwiches I've had in a long time, first off the chicken patty was as thin as paper And over fried, so it was hard and it was on a hamburger roll and it came with fries, which were very non-exciting except for the old bay. I think I would rather have gone to Burger King in the parking lot and gotten the chicken sandwich and fries there for $6 instead of paying $11 at Ledo's. The alternative was a turkey sandwich would be for $11 which came with fries, whatever... It was just a sandwich. What happened to the Italian cold cut sandwich or the steak and cheese special? Apparently there are two Ledo's in Bowie - my mistake. however when I first arrived and gave my name the woman advised she was waiting for it to come out of the oven. I waited, waited, waited - someone who came in and order a pizza left before me - then they started to ask my name again, and again - now it becomes clear they didn't have my order and it was now 25mins past the pick up time, too late to get a hot pizza from the correct Ledo's - a little more attention could have saved us. Man, I don't come often, but when I do I'm pumped to get my Ledo fix! Placed an order, hubby runs out to pick it up, I make a plate, two bites and now I'm a grumpy girl! The only thing I kinda enjoyed with the cheese stick - after I re-heating. Pizza dough was floury, really thick and dry, unlike any Ledo's I've ever had - especially this one AND my fav crumbly precooked bacon was served as long strips of flimsy, tasteless bacon. To top it off there was like no sauce or the ratio of dough to sauce was so off it felt like I bit into cooked flour! We visited last Friday evening. The restaurant wasn't particularly busy so we seated ourselves as was suggested. We were greeting our server after a few minutes and we placed our order. We ordered a medium meat lovers pizza, well done, six wings and a mixed salad. Everything was prepared as requested and we enjoyed the food. My only complaint was the restaurant did not have reusable plates or utensils. The paper plates were dessert size and the plastic utensils were flimsy which made eating the salad, which was fresh and crisp, an adventure. The small plates and plastic utensils also made eating and enjoying the pizza challenging. While the food was good, paper plates and plastic utensils made the experience less than enjoyable. I guess from now on if I want pizza from Ledo's it will be takeout. I would rate the meal higher but the use of dessert paper plates and plastic utensils detracted from the experience. read more

I've done take out here before. Great pizza, polite professionals answer the phone to take your order. However, take out is at least 45 minutes making this a difficult option for last minute Ledo pizza cravings. Other nearby Ledo establishments average 15 to 20 minutes. That's a big difference. Maybe this location is that much busier than the others. I don't know. The time it takes for take out discourages me from making this location my first choice. Unfortunate. I go there cause my husband likes the pizza but lately his order has been incorrect or the pizza is undercooked. While waiting on our order we sit at the bar and have a few drinks. I ordered a salad once, the lettuce was white and brown, it was horrible. We went last night, the bar tender, I think it was Jessica, she is the one there most times, she never even looked at us after 8min, the bar was not crowded., my husband ended up going to the front counter and ordered his pizza the came back to the bar. Took an hour to fulfill an online pizza order, 30 minutes late from the time given on the confirmation email. My wife sat with 3 young kids waiting for the order in the restaurant. Located in the former TJ Elliott's, this Ledo's Pizza is even closer to home than the one on ML King Hwy! I might even add, better service too! Friendly service and people answering the phones for orders and efficient service. Not sure why the low stars and I can't speak to others experiences, but I've had nothing but positive and welcoming experiences whenever I've had carry-out here. I've never dined-in, but they have that option with plenty of televisions to view, happy hour options, and a pretty cool set-up. The food is ALWAYS delicious, as you would expect to from any Ledo's Pizza. Plus, I've never had to wait an abnormal amount of time for my order. The food is pretty good. Their subs are really good but do not come with any fries and for $9 that's kinda of a rip off. The subs aren't too big, maybe 6 inches. It's been a long time since we ordered pizza. We usually don't because we make our own from scratch. We had some renovations done to our house and between cleaning up from the Reno and putting the house back in order we were just too tired to cook. So we tried Ledos. I was surprised how good it was. Thin crust, which we love, good sauce, pepperoni, mushrooms and half onion. Could have maybe used a few more mushrooms but I was really happy with it We also ordered some Buffalo wings. We're from Buffalo so we are very fussy about our wings. These were good, nice flavor, maybe a little too saucy so they were very messy. I'd order them again though. They were probably the best wings I've had outside of Buffalo. My real complaint is that our order was almost cold. We ordered on line about 5:30. The website said our order would be ready for pick up at 6:10. We arrived just before 6:10 and the order was there waiting. I knew it was going to be cold when we got home because when I put the pizza on my thighs it didn't burn them. it must have been sitting there on the shelf for quite a while. Oh boy! YELP we need to change the rating system! There has got to be a way to post negative stars or at least '0' stars! Alright so we know how this is supposed to go: Step 1 - your greeted by your server and drink order is taken. Step 2 - you receive your drinks and place appetizers and entre orders. Step 3 - you receive your appetizers Step 4 - you receive your entree ...and if not dessert you get the check...yada, yada, yada. Well we walked-in at 8:30, saw a section closed sign. We asked are able to seat in the dinning room and were told ya. Step 1 - Our server was great to start. Funny, energetic and knowledgeable. Repeated back the drink order to ensure accuracy. Step 2 - Got all the drink as ordered and order the apps. We order 25 wings and some waffle fries. But No, they are out of waffle fries. NP it happens. We also place entree orders. There is 6 of us and only one small pizza, a shrimp salad, 3 calzones and one more no cheese pizza to go. Now here is where it starts to derail. - The first food item to arrive was the entree shrimp salad. Step 3 - Next was the wings as the Manager delivered them she announced: ' Hi, just so you know we close at 9pm.' And walks away, at 8:46. Now there is a better way of doing this. 'Good Evening, I'm not sure if you all were notified we close at 9pm.' Or something. Now the train is getting further off the track. - as we are waiting for the entrees to arrive we are informed that they are out of one of substitution for one of the calzones. Ok but how you gonna be out of bacon? You have on in and around about a third of your items. We deal with that. Step 4 - Time for the entrees, after quiet a wait. Only to have not all of the food delivered, and over half of what was delivered was incorrectly. - The wrong small pizza was delivered, one calzone had no cheese, the other still hadn't arrived. - As we waited for the other calzone and the correct pizza to arrive. We are now told that the other calzone was never made and the kitchen had thrown out the rest of the dough for the night. - The server delivered this info with to gift certificates for one med pizza each. REALLY?!? So we ask to see the Manager. The kitchen manager was sent out. We requested for both mangers. When they both arrive we saw that the store manager was the manger for earlier. And here is where the train goes off the cliff! As my wife is explaining the restaurant manager the ills of the night she was rudely interrupted several times. Although Ledo's has been around for quite some time I'm sure, I just recently discovered it's OTHER food items. I've had Ledo's pizza before (less than 10 times), but normally pick it up at the other location on MLK close to my girlfriend's house. I like their pizza. It's good & different. A few months ago a friend got a 'package' that also came with salad and wings. The salad was GOOD! So...... here comes the Bowie location which is right around the corner from my house. Visit #1 was pizza & salad and of course it was YUMMY! But lets talk about the Bowie location. I really like the vibe. You can actually sit at a bar and have some drinks! How bout that! The employees (at the front as I ordered take-out) were nice. Enter the kitchen renovation and where do I go? Ledo's of course. Buffalo chicken salad; AWESOME & delicious (the sauce comes on the side). The next day (still no stove) was make your own pasta & the spinach salad. The pasta was delicious! I had Italian sausage, mushrooms, Parmesan & sauce. I know I was hungry, but it WAS GOOD!!! The portion sizes are great for the cost. I can eat off that pasta again tonight! It came with bread & everything. So........ Ledo's is my new go to. I love to cook, but since it's close & cost-effective, I'll become a regular. Horrible! Cannot recommend. 1st noticed smell b/c it was a dirty restaurant. The pasta was old, soggy watery, Chicken Parmesan was dry, chewy, overcooked, ... Oh yea, the salad ... that was also flavorless, guessing that was old too.
