Spanish music played in the background at just the right volume, creating a relaxed atmosphere where I could easily see myself enjoying a cold beer. My server greeted me with a smile and brought out chips and salsa right away. The house salsa was very mild, so I asked for something spicier. The red and green salsas were both excellent--great flavor with just the right amount of heat. I ordered the chilaquiles with steak and eggs. Unfortunately, the eggs I ordered medium came out hard. The steak was decent but nothing memorable, while the beans were flavorful. The chilaquiles were completely covered in sauce. The sauce itself was delicious, but there was simply too much of it, making the dish soggy. I was also surprised that the plate didn't come with tortillas. Service was decent overall, although my server didn't check back until I was almost finished eating. The décor was a little confusing, combining a tropical jungle theme with rustic ranch-style seating. Maybe that's part of Acapulco's culture--I honestly don't know--but it didn't seem to have a consistent theme. Overall, it was an average experience. The atmosphere and spicy salsas were the highlights, but the food execution and attentiveness during the meal left room for improvement

My wife and I had such great memories of the food but our schedules kept us away. We even found a parking spot next door so we could sit and enjoy our dinner. Well the night went downhill right after walking in. We were seated quickly, we looked over the menu and we made our selections. Our meals were cold my wife was served a cold chicken burrito and my food was far from hot. Disappointed doesn't come close to how we felt afterwards. We don't complain, we remember and the next time we find ourselves in Antioch or Laverne we are good with eating elsewhere.

This dish is full of flavor, loved the Picahna, and overall absolutely delicious. Overall...this dish is a repeat with a different protein. I also saw their Picahna burger...definitely something I want to try.

Initially I thought this is going to be very fresh and nice and hot. The Pastelitos (empanadas) and the "curtido" (pickled slaw) was very good. The sausage and steak were both very good. The beans were dried out so they did not appear to be appetizing, the avocado was too unripe it was mostly uneatable. The chicharron was decent, just needed a little more crisp. The pupusa was very good. The ambience of the restaurant is very cute and cozy.
