The service is a touch awkward but this last time I visited I was finally introduced to their surfer sauce. I don't understand why they advertise grilled steak and chicken when it's swimming in a soup. I was in Smyrna and decided to get Blue Coast Burrito since I hadn't eaten there in a while. I am so glad I decided to! When I walked in, I was greeted with smiles and the two gentlemen who prepared my burrito were so friendly and patient. I ordered the La'tinga chicken burrito with all of the toppings and it was delicious! I also loved that I could try the salsa options and get as much as I wanted. The food tastes so fresh!!! I went in there yesterday after work and received some great service. The gentleman that took my orders got everything correct and even did me a solid. The naked burrito I ordered was no meat so he gave me extra rice and beans for no extra charge...things like that go a long way. He also didn't charge me for queso I had on my other burrito. I think he did it because I literally wanted nothing on the burrito but chicken, queso, and rice. They never do that but it makes sense since they save money by me not wanting any of the other extras. This kind of customer service makes me want to go here more often. read more

Tried Blue Coast Burrito for the first time today and was impressed by the flavor and freshness of the steak tacos. My wife ordered a chicken burrito and commented on how much chicken was included, compared to other restaurants that overload with toppings instead of proteins. Unfortunately, there were multiple issues with our to-go order that prevent me from leaving 5 stars. I ordered a large drink combo with my tacos and was given a regular sized drink. I also did not receive the chips and salsa that came with the combo, even after asking if everything was included in the order. My wife's burrito was missing several toppings (pico, beans, lettuce). The restaurant was essentially empty so it wasn't as if they were rushed in preparing our food. I would try this restaurant again, though I would maybe choose to dine in so any order errors could be corrected as they happened. read more

A solid burrito for a decent price, but the structure was lacking. It's pretty big portion, and it tastes pretty good too; better than Chipotle, but not as good as more authentic spots you might find elsewhere. My main issue with the burrito was structural integrity: it was constantly leaking juice, and about halfway through consuming this burrito, the bottom of the tortilla came unraveled and the filling spilled out. At this point, the burrito was irrecoverable, so I had to employ the use of a fork and knife, which one should not be compelled to do when consuming a structurally sound burrito. read more

I am not much of a complainer and I love the food at Blue Coast HOWEVER I have a small stomach and can not each as much as I'd like. That being said, it's very frustrating to me that I can not order a kids meal for myself. It's just simply not allowed. The only time you may get a kids meal to go, is if you buy another, full size, adult meal. Very frustrating because often times I opt out of BlueCoast because I do not like to waste food, and I'm not a fan of leftovers. Definitely in favor of a lunch sized meal or deal. read more

The customer service here is great. But the food is the worst Mexican food I've ever had. Everything is extremely salty and overpriced. Everything is gross except for the natural vegetables. I rarely write a bad review, maybe one every few years. But I still feel like I'm tasting a pound of salt in my mouth. So gross. Save your money and go to a real Mexican restaurant. Even Qdoba is far superior to this place. I'm not a picky eater, but I shouldn't feel like I ate salt. read more

It's been years since I've got food here or any Blue Coast for that matter. I was in the area and decided on it for a late lunch. It was about 3pm when I arrived at the restaurant. The place wasn't busy at all. There was one other person in the restaurant eating. I ordered my regular chipotle burrito at the counter. I got the latinga chicken, with black beans, rice, cheese, sour cream, salsa, pico, and black olives. Seven bucks for a burrito isn't that bad at all. I took it to go. When I arrived at work, I noticed that the bottom of the paper bag was leaking all over my seat. The burrito is wrapped up in only aluminum foil, and there wasn't napkins in the bag either. After cleaning up my seats, I tried the burrito. The chicken was pretty dry inside, which is odd because it's usually soaking in sauce. What was worse is the rice was so HARD. I literally thought there was plastic in the burrito. I was able to spoon out most of the rice, but Halfway though the burrito, I had to throw it out. I've had hard rice at a Taco Bell, but for a 7 buck burrito? Unacceptable. read more

Yes yes yes yes yes! Wow! This location is on FIYAH! My boyfriend and I both agreed that the steak quesadillas are the best we've ever had anywhere! And I love their Cabo bowl with Carne and everything on it. Even my extremely picky son loves their quesadillas. I recommend them! I love their online ordering feature. Employees are always pleasant and they usually play good music. Blue Coast isn't my favorite giant burrito chain, I'll always take Chipotle and their cilantro rice over BC given the choice, but this location is close to my house and staffed with friendly people so I'm always happy to go. They do a kids night on Tuesday which I actively try to avoid just to leave more room for the family's, but is really cool! They have a balloon artist who makes really some pretty awesome things and seems like an excellent way to entertain small people when dining. I almost always get their salad or nachos. Their salads are surprisingly good! Romaine lettuce and unique homemade dressings, plus it's a giant salad you can build it to your preferences. The nachos are enough to feed a small army, so prepare. If you prefer romaine lettuce to iceberg, they'll also always add that for you in items which is what I often do! read more

This place is just OK. My boyfriend and I went here on a Friday night to get some dinner before drinking. I wanted Chipotle but the closest one is in Murfreesboro, and we didn't feel like driving that far so I figured this would be similar. No, not at all. Chipotle and Qdoba are FAR better options than Blue Coast. The salsa selection seems a little bit better here than at the other places, I'll give them that. But the rice is bland, there's no seasoning on the meat and the steak I got was super greasy so there was basically no coming back from that. The selection of toppings was pretty good also, and the guacamole was good...although I don't really know how you can mess that up. Overall, I'd much rather drive the 15-20 minutes to go to Chipotle or, better yet, head over to Oscar's right down the road for some better Mexican food. read more

Tried calling the store number on the website and got a recording saying that the number was not in service. Tried calling another location and the same recording?? After reading the other reviews, I'm wondering if my lunches here were out of the ordinary. I've never had an order messed up, the facility has always been clean, and the staff has been friendly... so I can't complain about the service or facility. I'm not a huge fan of this type of food, but the prices are pretty decent and several people at work love going here. To be honest, after a few times getting their steak burritos, it's grown on me... especially their salsas. So if you like burritos or tacos, and if you like salsa, this place is worth a shot. Again, I'm not particularly fond of this type of food, but I gave it a shot, and I wasn't let down. This year, they started a lunch deal; 2 tacos, unlimited chips/salsa and a drink for $6.
